Yoowan is effortlessly cute, hyper, friendly and kid at heart, somehow vain. She’s kinda boyish so she gets along with boys.  She's not the innocent type but more of adventurous type. She never gets tired when it comes to something she likes doing.  She is very competitive yet knows how to stay cool in defeat. She's the "I’ll do my best next time" type and she’ll really practice harder. She has a strong passion in dancing. She dances every time even if there’s no music which makes other people think she’s weird. If she hears music with nice beats, she will dance suddenly or make an arm wave even if she’s doing something or if she’s in someplace where there is a huge crowd.  She looks up to the ones who are greater than her, she uses them as inspiration. She believes that the more you are inspired the more you will not get tired. She uses her inspirations as a source of her energy.  She gives her 200% when it comes to practicing. Her creativity and her wide imagination makes everyone like her. She likes trying new things, and in return she's has many talents.  

 

She hates being manipulated. She's very humble, the type that doesn't admit she's good but every compliment is like a treasure. She is a very loyal friend, someone you can really count on.

If you want to have fun and laugh all day you should go to her. She gets aggressive if someone hurts her friends/family. When she’s pissed off her bright personality changes 360, she can really get cold and quiet with her really scary glare. Yoowan was born in San Francisco, CA, 2 years after her parents moved to America. She is an only child. She’s supposed to have a little brother but died in her mother’s womb. She visits her grandparents in Korea every summer till she turned 6, when she moved to Korea with her grandparents to study, leaving her parents in America. She stayed in Korea till she was 10 years old. Her parents brought her back to America to study and there she auditioned in JYP. She was forced to quit after 3 years as her mom’s punishment for cutting classes twice to join 2 dance battles and her dad was afraid that her grades in school are dropping, she got really upset. She work hard in her school and got to Top 10 in class and she ask for as a prize is to go back in Korea. Her parents let her go to Korea and she auditioned in SM Ent. an became a trainee. After 2 years she quit because of very hard training. Then she joined Brand New Stardom in 2010 and got a chance to model for Ha Sang Baek’s Fashion Show.

 

In the past her parents let her join workshops and sports clinics like table tennis, taekwondo, especially dancing. She used to join dance battles with her friends in America. Her parent supports her decision in being an artist as long as she wouldn’t change and she stays safe.

Career

Pre-debut History:

She liked K-POP as early as 8 years old when she moved to Korea. She was recruited by JYP when she was 12 and trained for 2 years but was forced to quit by her mom as a punishment for a wrong doing. She returned to Korea and again auditioned for Brand New Stardom and become a trainee.
