Idk if i mentioned this in a blog or anyting but...huh read for your self.

M. Entertainment, the label responsible for discovering and bringing out BoA, KANGTA, 東方神起, 天上智喜, Super Junior, TRAX, BLACKBEAT, Yoo Young Jin, H.O.T., S.E.S., SHINHWA, FlytotheSky, DANA, Chu Ka Yul, Go Ara, Lee Yeon Hee, Park Heebon, and other prominent artists, actors, and comedians, will be holding the “06 S.M. Entertainment Global AUDITION” with the Korea Times through 11 cities of US and Korea.
From September 9th 2006 to October 14th 2006, auditions will be held in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., Toronto, and Vancouver.  Any Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc) may participate as nationality will not be considered in the casting selections.
Those who are selected from the audition will be given the opportunity to represent Asia and stand on the global stage with S.M. Entertainment. 
- Categories for Application
Singer, Film Actor, TV Actor, Model, Producer/Composer (Writer)
- Requirements
Any Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc) residing in the audition cities may participate without any limits to nationality, age, or .
- Audition Fee
None. 

 

Any "asian" So Only Asian Allowed to Become a singer?? @_@..(Doesn't know if i should feel sad or disgusted)

I would think that SM Entertainment is mainly seeking those of Asian descent. I don't think much emphasis is placed on non-Asians.

This could be because not that many of them apply compared to the higher number of Asian who apply. It could be that they don't think a non-Korean would make it in the entertainment business (unless one of their motives was to create a Korean/International group). It could be that they are just conforming to those with similar culture backgrounds and it'd be easier for the company.

Who knows? I find it ironic how they manage to put a restriction on global auditions despite the diversity that comes with the term "international".
