Block B’s member P.O. (real name Pyo Jihoon) is currently admitted into the hospital.
As of February 24th, Block B’s member P.O. is currently admitted in a university hospital. He’s the youngest member of Block B who was born in 1993 and had graduated high school just last month.
Recently the group has been the target of netizens for a recent interview in Thailand and even the team’s leader Zico had shaved his head in means of self-reflection as an apology video was also released. However, the wrath still hasn’t died down.
As the controversy grew viral, P.O. has been spending the past week in a state of panic and as netizens even went as far as taking drastic measures of creating suicide petitions, it is said that he received a big shock from it. P.O. participated in the pre-recording for Mnet’s M Countdown on the 23rd but it was revealed that he was nowhere to be seen in the broadcast, stirring curiosity amongst many.
Block B’s company Brand New Stardom spoke out about the issue in saying, “P.O. being admitted into the hospital is true. With the controversy growing viral, he received a big shock and there hasn’t been detailed results of his examination,” dismissing any further questions regarding P.O.
They also spoke out in regards to the issue in saying, “We can’t deny how wrong we are and there is no excuse despite our apologies and the hate we receive. We are aware that the issue is not only viral over the media, but all over the nation as well.” They continued, “Currently, we are prioritizing the health of our members as well as the safety of their family members.”
The company is currently working with the representatives of Thailand in regards to their visit and their ways as they are setting plans in taking action.
