Dream High Season 2

Okay, so I got really bored and suddenly wanted to bother people by making a blog in which they may or may not read, and honestly don't have to waste their time with me spewing stuff about a drama I like.

So a topic I wanted to talk about right now...Dream High 2.

At first I was really hyped about this, but then I heard the original cast wasn't returning so I got a bit discouraged. Again, nearing the release date, I got excited, but after I watched the first episode my excitement slowly diminished to nothing. So after that, I was forcing myself to watch another few episodes, but by episode 3-4 it started getting good. Now, I am in love :)

So, my original thoughts on Dream High 2 were kind of disappointing. I really didn't like Kang Sora's character and didn't see the beauty in a blubbering failure as a character. I thought her to be weird, and it just felt like Dream High 2's plot was weak and was nowhere near the greatness the first one provided, but now my thoughts are different.

Let's start with Kang Sora's character, Haesung. Her character is beautiful and gorgeous in the aspect that she is a failure. She isn't extremely talented or anything. She actually kind of pitiful which I find gorgeous because that makes her relatable. She's a dreamer wishing for something out of her reach, yet she is surrounded by talent that she envies. She is jealous and weak-hearted but does nothing to help her case, and it's so beautiful because if I were in her shoes I would do the same. I wouldn't be able to say a word. I would run away too because I'm also a coward. That's why I love her, and I bet that her transformation throughout the drama will be beautiful too.

The relationships of the characters are so smooth and nice, and that "Dream High" drama is still there. After all, Jiyeon's character is a lot like Eunjung's was in the first one. They play that b**ch kind of character that everyone hates, although they really do have a reason to be like that, and because of their selfish ways a lot of drama happens. In other words, their original purpose is to bully the main character but then later become friends. However, I like this aspect. It's fun to watch.

I feel like Rian, as a character isn't as bad as she shows to be but rather, confused. She obviously has bottled up feelings and doesn't know what to do with them, so I kind of pity her. She doesn't know how to express herself, and instead, makes trouble for everyone. So, I kind of respect Rian for being who she is. She acts strong on the outside, but I'm sure she's hurting on the inside, so I respect that.

The rest of the characters....I've been in love with since the beginning. I really think Jisoo and Nana are cute, so are Haesung and Yoojin and Rian and JB. Those are my favorites pairings so far, but they may shift later.

Anyway, this was a totally useless blog that none of you actually had to read through, but if you enjoy spazzing with others over dramas, I figured that someone may want a spazzing buddy, so yeah, I'm here for that. Anyway, bye and good night :) Thank you if you have survived my useless blog :)

I started watching the first 3 episodes and I was like O_O uhh okay ..
Kang Sora's character still annoys me :( And I just feel like this drama doesn't have as much 'soul' as the first one. But I'll still give this a chance, mainly because I'm interested on how the love square thingy turns out xP
