My View about the BLOCK B Scandal...

I'm not saying this as a fan. I'm gonna start by saying I was deeply disappointed by how they took this interview as a playground without considering the feelings of the Thai people BUT I've seen Block B as they rose to fame as a talented rookie group. I've seen how they usually act behind cam during their reality tv and I can say they are naturally playful and active and 'reckless' but that was understandable for someone as young as them forced to mature when they are still bound to commit mistakes. I feel bad for the Thai people, specially for what they went through since Philippines have experienced calamity worst, killing millions of lives and making the whole country mourn for the lose but no one wished for that to happen and we shouldn't take it out on Block B. They made mistakes but it's not a reason for us to demand for them to be banned from the music industry. Doing so is like killing their dreams and in the end, like killing them as well. It was offensive and hurtful and shameful but they're reflecting for it already so we don't have to point out the obvious and overreact. Don't react as if you haven't done anything as stupid as what they've done. I bet you've done something more worse than that. I feel for Thai people AND Block B. They were both hurt by some stupid mistake and US, making a big deal out of it will hurt them more.

I agree, but I want to add something. Or, better yet, ask you something.
They basically made fun of Zico, about being poor. Didn't they? If not, can you explain what exactly was making fun of Thailand? Hm?
Because that's what I heard, when I asked several people about the actual 'joke'. So if I'm mistaken, my excuses and don't mind me.

Totally agree. as much as they have made a mistake by being insensitive. forgiving and forgetting is what the music industry should do too. The South Korean entertainment industry is a harsh place to be. once mistake and everyone looks down on you. It's precisely due to the lack of forgiveness that artistes feel so stressed to give a 'perfect' and 'flawless' image. and besides, just because now they're idols doesn't make them any less human. just because they're famous means they should be role models, yes. but REAL role models are able to get back ontheir feet after stumbling.

yeah, I agree with everything you said. I think as professional performers that kind of behavior wasn't acceptable but I mean c'mon, everyone makes mistakes at one point and I really hate how people were starting to hate on them even after they apologized. You could tell that they really were sincere in their apologizes, and at this point I think people are blowing it out of proportion. I was surprised when I first saw the video but I kinda just stepped back and thought about it for a while and I can see how people were offended, but I think we should be willing to forgive and forget by now. Being immature about it and hating on them isn't going to change anything, you're just embarrsing yourself. Plus, the whole thing when people were bringing in 2pm just cuz of their comments was unessary. I personally see this as just a mistake they made and they apologized for it, so we, as fans should be forgiving and let it go.
