EXPANDED Jaehyun is a normal teenager. He is an awkward gaming potato. He doesn’t have many social skills especially with girls, the ones he did have were stopped by his bullies and it made him avoid people in real life. He is self assured in the way that he does what he wants and doesn’t change his decisions once his mind is made up. He trusts himself in that way. But emotionally he isn’t confident and a bit of a mess. He holds in a lot of anger from his bullies so he takes it out on his parents or videogames. He is a sore loser that throws his headphones when he lose. He is also rude to his parents sometimes that Youngjae has to smack him on the head. He talks back to his parents or whine or mumble to himself when they tell him to do something. He is a angsty teenager so it’s normal to have up and down. Actually his parents allow him to do that, they try to discipline now that he is home by himself but they can’t because it’s too late. They raise a brat that got whatever because the older siblings had attention. He grownup with a good life so he doesn’t know much about the reality of life. Right now he is very emotional and vulnerable as a teenager so he can understand others emotions easy. His dad call him unmotivated because all he do is play games and not think about his future and doesn’t help around the home so they say he’s lazy.
But recently Jaehyun has been happy because of his plan with Amber. He is excited to tell everyone and has been in a odd good mood recently that his parents don’t understand. So the Jaehyun they get will not be angsty teenager Jaehyun but someone social and cheerful. Ready to participate and talk to everyone.
BACKGROUND Jaehyun was born in Hwan Village, the youngest of all his siblings. They say when you have kids later in life you have no energy for discipline. That was Jaehyun, he had the perfect situation to rebel and do whatever he wanted but he didn’t. His parents never had to worry about him because he was well behaved all the time. As the baby everything was handed to him so he never worked hard for anything. Money came easy, he didn’t have chores, he was naturally smart, his whole life was easy.
His grades were good, on the higher end of the average. He had his small group of friends that went to pc room after class and that’s where he’d spend most of his time. When he went to highschool he got bullied for a little for his first year but Youngjae took care of it for him since they went to the same school. But the next year when Youngjae left there was no one to protect him so he started to get bullied again. They didn’t care if he was wealthy, they all were. Since he didn’t fight back he was just an easy target. He become a slave to them, anything they ask he run to it and his friends don’t talk to him after a while because they don’t want to be bullied too.
For the last 2 years it was like that. He become quieter and spend a lot of time in his room. He have a attitude with the family. Honestly he think about dying too because he didn’t see the end. He didn’t know what he wanted to do in life and feel lost. He was depressed a lot.
Until earlier in the semester he meet Amber on a discord. It was a korean server but to make friends with international people. He talked to many people but she stood out to him because she always answered his messages in the groupchat during the times when others ignored him. They began to talk in a private chat everyday all day and night. It didn’t take long for Jaehyun to be smiling at his phone while eating dinner. Even if he got bullied he didn’t care he just wanted to get on the phone again to talk to her. He was in love for the first time ever. She gives him hope again and he have big news to tell the family during the holidays.
OCCUPATION student
ROUTINE He wakes up at 7:30am, he has class at 9am but he has to make sure the snacks are at his bully’s desks before they show up or else he’ll get in trouble. He has class until 3pm then soccer practice since his dad want him to be active even though he . Practice end at 5 and he have hagwon after until 9pm. Sometimes he skip and stay at a manga cafe or wander the street and talk to Amber. He avoids the game cafe because his old friends go there and it’ll be awkward. Then he go home at 8 or 9pm, eat dinner then stay in his room the rest of the night doing homework, gaming, talk to Amber.
Weekends he might have a soccer game but usually he just chills home gaming all day in his room.
CURRENT LIVING SITUATION he lives with his parents and has a pet ferret named jiffy because he's fast.
SECRET He wants to be with Amber in America. They already talked about it and planned it out now he just has to tell his parents. He already applied to university of Minnesota in her home town and got in. He just needs the money to get an apartment off campus so they can live together and have his parents pay his tuition since international students aren’t illegible. He is very serious about her they even talk about getting married and having children name Asher and Erin. She likes Asher and he just like attack on Titan. It’s all perfectly planned out, he just needs the money from his parents.

She is learning Korean and he is learning English so they mostly use translator when talking but they somehow make it work.
