hypocrites

Nothing, nothing disgusts me more than people who claim to be whole-group fans but will happily, readily accept a project that only comes to fruition at the expense of a member of the exact group.

No, it's not surprising—knowing reveluvs. Not at all. In fact, it just intensifies my disgust knowing it's reveluvs, the spineless fandom, who, unlike, say, Moomoos, with a much smaller number, had the guts to boycott a concert that risked the already overworked members' health, or Onces, with their much bigger number, who had the guts to protest against an OT8 DVD and, most enviably, cheered for Nolo, Misamo, and now Zyolo with the same level of enthusiasm.

The girls deserve a better fandom, and reveluvs deserve... SM. A partisan fandom so gleefully eating whatever bones SM throws at them and an Uncle Scrooge of a label—what a match made in heaven. I'm not celebrating that SM paid them dust, compared to the banquet it threw for its younger sibling fandoms, but I'm definitely not going to refill my empathy quota that's already been running low for some time.

Though I am not learned in what is going on (despite being a moomoo, I am not very online), I do agree with what you say. I am not really much for drama, so I don't need to know the story but I do want to mention one major thing.

Don't put your whole heart in the community around the group you like. Reserve some for yourself because as y as it is, people will truly (and eventually always) disappoint. This does not mean absolute isolation and not making connections with others but just as a caution in everyone you meet. It is easy to make a community a safe place but for the same reason it is just as easy to get hurt, be disgusted or disappointed in them. So I commend you for not refilling your empathy quota and choosing yourself.

I believe being a fan is first about you and who/what you're a fan of. The culture and the community should not shape you hence speaking out (despite being a rant) is still admirable.
