heat waves is a a/b/o general mewe roleplay set in seoul, south korea. we are a semi-lit/lit creative space for those that wish to explore this genre and dynamics within a safe and respectful community.

contrary to mythos and media made about them, shifters are not werewolves, and to this day, werewolves have not been proven to exist. they are not beholden to the moon or lunar cycles. this theory became popularly crafted because of their veneration towards it and many other natural and celestial bodies of which they used to plan their celebrations and holidays around. 

shifters are just as the name says they are–they are creatures that are able to ‘shift’ from either a human or to a wolf form. generations past, this ability used to come easier. however, now with the industrialization of cities and these modern times, shifters don’t really transform into their wolf as easily without practice or unless highly distressed. they still carry their wolf with them, and this often manifests with scents, cycles, biology, and many other things associated with shifters.

because they are no longer needed for safety in numbers, hunting, mating or protecting territory, shifters have long since moved away from any kind of “pack” living.

all companies and those idols or celebrities within it are required to use heat suppressants, contraceptives and/or scent blockers while on tour or highly active schedules.
