OVERVIEW

→　Your not-so typical rich boy. His family is well off, but he doesn't flaunt it or pretend it makes him any better than anyone else.

→　Has a few younger siblings, which he thinks makes him particularly qualified at helping to care for the members of Horizon (and, somewhat grudginly, Misfits).

→　Korean ethnicity, born in Korea, but grew up overseas in California. Lived in Anaheim, specifically, but traveled into LA and SF and surounding cities a lot.

→　He’s big into music from the get-go and is scouted by SM in [2012?] after a talent show he participates in. 
→　It takes a little while to convince his parents, but in 2013, they let him go to Korea to audition. Luckily, his grandparents still live there, so Kel moves in with them.

→　Grandparents aren’t happy, but what’s new. He makes a deal with them: they’ll help him get to his auditions and support him as long as he continues his schooling. Bet. So Kel continues his schooling and does his auditioning.

→　He eventually makes it into SM in 2014 and even joins the SM Rookie lineup. But it falls through. NCT U debuts without him. Then so does 127. And even Dream. He should have been in U or 127. So when his contrcat expires, he leaves. [mid-late 2016

→　Kel joins Daebak in early 2017 and begins training hard for the eventual 2018 debut of Horizon.

MISC

→　A chaotic biual (as far as he knows), but lmfao joke's on him.

→　 #TeamMom -- though this is an iffy thing for him initially in Ground Zero, he quickly realizes that as hurt as Horizon are, Misfits are scared and hurt, too, and they can either rise together...or fall together.

→　He learns basic production stuff from the boys of NCT (Taeyong and Mark mostly) and from some of the producers at SM, but the rest he stubbornly learns on his own.

→　Kel plays games on his phone all the damn time. Pokemon Go, Dragon Age, Plague Inc, Wordscapes, Wordvillas, 7 Words, etc. He goes for a mix of nostalgia and midnless fun, and something that makes him stop and think or apply critical thinking.

→　And also his tablet: Hay Day, Plague Inc, Bio Inc, Topple, Unblock Me.

→　And also xbox: Assassins Creed, Overwatch, Minecraft.

→　And occasionally on his laptop: Minecraft, Valorant, Raft, Coral Island, Subnautica, FrostPunk, Mass Effect (all versions), random Steam games.

→　He just likes playing video games, it's his de-stressor.

OVERVIEW
→　Born and raised in New York City most of his life, but also traveled a fair amount int he surrounding area as he aged, particularly to New Jersey and into Canada
→　Has a few siblings. One is a female theater (major)  nerd (fc Siyeon) that works on Broadway shows in the sound/set/costume departments, and one (fc pending) is a streamer that started as a youtuber. Not super high profile, but maybe 10k followers or so? (Maybe a third that's in like high end retail or something)
→　Parents are fairly well off and have let their kids find their own way in life for the most part. 
→　And then there's this idiot that fell into music hella early, grew up watching Broadway shows with big sis, and also was used to being on camera doing lowkey stupid with the brother and learning tiktok/youtube dances/etc.
→　Attended a kpop concert of some kind with both his sibs and was like "dude how cool would it be to do this?"
→　not the right reason to decide to be an idol, but he's not the brightest and he grew up in America, give him a little credit
→　Sent in videos and maybe got a couple call backs and eventually went to Korea in...2015? to audition for some in person. One of the parents probably went with him initially, but maybe his sister? that would be cute. Or his dad’s/mom’s family live there so he’s staying hishis cousins
→　He eventually signs somewhere else, maybe JYP (SKz)? Maybe elsewhere, but is ultimately passed over for another trainee and the group debuts and he doesn't. (will need to look into groups by debut year and go from there)
→　So he leaves after the x year contract expires and signs with Blank Ent in maybe 2020?
→　yes, this is totally original, I have never once used the "passed over for debut" line before ever

 

MISC

→　Panual, panromantic

→　 He makes deadpan (ha) jokes about being panromantic and holds up a picture of his favorite pan from the kitchen back at the dorm like "this is Kate and she's the one that cooks for the twelve of us, so I love her the most" because this idiot is trusted in the kitchen he probably shouldn't be and he's actually a really good cook. And yes, that is his favorite pan, no, this is not a joke

→　He is Misfit's Cook(tm). He's the one that rules the kitchen and makes most of the meals. He likes cooking, too, so please just leave him be unless he asks for help.

→　His role models are Kai (Exo) and Eunkwang (vocal) and BtoB (they're hilarious, excuse you)

→　Concert + group that made him want to be an idol? pending.

→　Close friends with [group]. He doesn't blame them for his failure to debut, and he's stayed close to them despite leaving the company.

→　His favorite food is pizza. His fave Asian dish is chiken ramen. He also LOVES all kinds of uramaki and sushi rolls (ie: California rolls, tempura rolls, sushi in general)

→　He's a social butterfly and fairly well-liked in Blank Ent, so it's not uncommon for the other trainees and even staff to come and ask him questions about America or misc skills. 

→　His Korean & cultural  knowledge isn't quite up to the same par as his American and variety knowledge, but when he doesn't know, he doesn't mind asking, and he's humble and sincere and genuine about learning properly.

→　Taejun also takes care to treat everyone well regardless of their status or age. He's very respectful despite also being a bit of a dweeb, but he's got a good heart and he treats those around him like he'd want to be treated.

→　(So while he may not be a company favorite, many of the staff do have a soft spot for him because Taejun always has kind words for offer, and he asks them about themselves and remembers what they talk about.)
