Personality. 

🧸 Any first impression of Sorano would be confident. She walks, talks and acts like she knows what she's doing. She's very confident in herself and her abilities. She knows she's pretty, and she knows she's quite talented musically wise, she's also very good with people. All that adds up to make her confident demeanor. And because of that, Sorano is very direct with her words and opinions. She would hate to sugar coat anything and she believes that being direct and honest is the best way to go. She can be nicer about her words too, depending on the person, but you can always trust her to be direct and honest. Despite that, Sorano is quite energetic. She tends to bounce around looking for things to do and people to talk to. It's hard for her to sit around and do nothing really, so she just goes around to do whatever she can to get out her energy and hopefully boredom. One way Sorano would describe herself is original. She likes to design her own clothing and make cute jewelry to wear. She wears so many different things, but in her distinct Sorano style. Being perceptive is something she prides herself on. She's able to pick up on literally anything that's going on in the company just from what she hears in passing. She actually predicted Eclipse debuting because the staff were acting the same as when right before Twilight was revealed to be debuting. It helps that Sorano is really sociable. She talks to basically everyone in the company and makes friends like it's her job. She keeps on everyone's good side and she keeps up a happy atmosphere. It's like that even outside of the company, in the neighborhood and with everyone she meets. She just likes talking to people. 
🧸 Because of her upbringing, Sorano is very assertive when it comes to her opinions and wants and needs. Usually it's alright because her concerns are also her groups concerns and it's very hard to say no to Sorano anyway, but sometimes it can be too much. She has to make sure everyone knows what she wants and what her opinions are. She just doesn't want to be ignored. Bold is Sorano's most defining traits. She likes doing things that others wouldn't and she likes putting herself out there. She says anything she wants to and does anything she wants to. It often times, comes to bite her in the though. Then she's decisive. Once she makes up her mind it's set and stone and no one can change it. No one. If she decided she likes something no be will be able to change her mind, and if she dislikes something definitely no one can change her mind. She makes her decisions quick and easy. Sorano's other defining trait is her independence. It's not that she can't work in a group, in fact, she's quite good at it, but she likes to work on things alone when she can. She relies on herself and only herself. She acts as an individual and solves all her problems on her own. It sometimes can cause problems with other people because of how independent she can be. She refuses to get any help at all, even when she needs it. Despite that though, Sorano is quite rational. Her bold and decisive actions, even her independence is all tied back to her rationality. Everything she does is calculated. All of her actions have a reason and they all make sense. She never makes any decisions without thinking about it first. It's good when she wants to help other people, but it just seems slightly manipulative when she approaches people with who they are in mind. Along with her rationality, she's also quite practical. She likes to do rather than not. She doesn't like when people have discussions on situations in the hypotheticals. Most often than not, their situations are outlandish and most situations would be solved if you just do and not think about 'what ifs'.
🧸 'Quick to anger and easy to forgive' is a quote that definitely fits Sorano. She's extremely hot headed and is very quick to anger. It typically not bad, but when she's already upset she's basically a ticking time bomb. She's trying to fix that but it's been hard since that's how she's been since childhood. If she was wrong she'll apologize, but her temper is something even she wants to avoid. It doesn't help that she's also quite impatient. Sorano is used to being by herself so she's used to things being done at her speed. She hates waiting for others and hates waiting for things to be done. Since she's been training it's gotten a bit better, but she's still very impatient. Again, since Sorano has been mostly alone for most of her home life she doesn't quite know how to help process other people's feelings and concerns so she can be insensitive. It's not that she doesn't care, it's that she doesn't know. She's used to making blunt remarks and not caring who needs to hear it but since she's made very strong connections she's been working on her filter. She still slips up quite a lot though and she does also apologize for hurting anyones feelings once she's called out. Sorano, to everyone's displeasure is quite secretive with herself. She can tell apart emotions and be involved in other people's lives but she keeps hers on the low. Same with her feelings. She keeps everything under wraps with walls built up. It's because she hates her life or privilege and resents her parents for how she was raised. Also, Sorano is stubborn to boot. She's like an unmovable rock when it comes to things she absolutely feels are truths. She won't even listen to opposition about it. Sorano is very willful. If she wants something done it will be done. It doesn't matter if people don't like it, she will do it. She's used to using people if she needs to anyway. 

Background.

🧸 Sorano was born on November 26th 2001 as the second child of Daisuke and Ichika Fujii. The two of them were already successful CEOs of their own music agency by then so they never really had much time for Sorano. Her brother was also pretty busy learning instruments and with school so he never really had time to see her. She grew up mostly alone with her grandmother, who was much too old to be taking care of a toddler. She hardly ever saw her parents growing up and it was only when she started school that her parents started to show their faces around her, but only because they wanted things from her. Mostly for her to start taking up instruments too.
🧸 From the age of 5 until she was 15, she was put in multiple instrument classes throughout those 10 years. She was expected to master each one within a few years to move onto the next instrument. At first, she tried her best to learn whatever her parents wanted her to. She just wanted their attention and to be praised for her efforts. But by the age of 13, with four instruments master and a fifth one on it's way, she realized that not once has her parents praised her. She was spending all of her free time learning instruments and studying for school (which was a lot less important to them than the instruments, but she still strived for good grades since her brother had them too.) but not once did her parents show up to anything that she's done. Not one recital, not one awards ceremony. They didn't even show up to her elementary graduation. That's when she decided that she was going to stop living for her parents. Sure she kept her grades, and sure she still was learning instruments (she even mastered her fifth soon after the realisation) but it wasn't going to be her life anymore. She started to spend more time out with friends she's made in junior high and discovered different types of music.
🧸 By the time she was 15 and done with her sixth instrument, she told her parents she was done learning instruments. They didn't take that too kindly and signed her up for one more, however, she didn't pay attention in classes. DIdn't even participate. Her parents had gotten frustrated with her and decided that six, would be enough for now, but she would have to continue once she was out of high school. They were planning on adding her to their company after all. Sorano had a pretty face and her parents were sure they could teach her to sing. Sorano, with her newfound freedom, had gotten into kpop, and decided that was what she wanted to do with her life. She kept that a secret from everyone but her grandmother, who was still a major part of Sorano's life.
🧸 Her grandmother was the light of her life. Her grandmother had signed her up for dance lessons at a nearby studio and had taken her there and back. Her grandmother was her biggest supporter. Sorano learned very quickly under the dance studio. She already had a good grasp of beats and music since she does play six instruments. It was the only time she would thank her parents for making her take all those lessons for all of her life. She was even able to do a few unofficial competitions with the studio.
🧸 Her life came crashing to a halt when she was 16 and a half though. Her grandmother had passed away suddenly from natural causes and suddenly Sorano was left alone. Her grandmother had left her a good chunk of money for her in her own private bank account and since she was underaged, she wasn't able to access it. But neither were her parents. During the time between her grandmother's death and the funeral, she was mourning with her brother, who wasn't really mourning since he wasn't close to her like Sorano was, and somehow it slipped that grandma had been paying and taking her to dance classes. Her brother didn't understand why since Sorano would undoubtedly become an Musical artist like he was, under their parents company, and she spilled. She had told him her dream and her passion. He didn't approve, but he also didn't tell their parents.
🧸 Closer to Sorano's birthday, her brother, who had only contacted her a few times after the funeral, asked her if being a kpop idol was really something she wanted to do. She said yes, of course and then he offered to help her sneak to Korea to train. He said he didn't approve of the dream, but it would be better for her to try it out and get it out of her system before she came back to Japan to continue with the family. And so, he contacted a korean company he was working with, got Sorano an online audition, and when she passed, a plane ticket and some money to hold her over until she would be able to access the money from her grandmother.
🧸 At freshly 17, Sorano packed up her bags and headed for Korea to start off her new life. When her parents heard the news, they demanded she come back. She wasn't sure how her brother convinced them to calm down and just let her ride things out, but he did. They gave her until she was 21 to debut and make something of herself or they would track her down and bring her back themselves and she graciously accepted. That was about 4 years to train and debut.
🧸 However, when Sorano left the company her brother suggested only about six months in, he messaged her and told her to just come back then. She refused, saying she had 3 years left to do what she wanted to do. He didn't take too kindly to that. He kept telling her to just come back now because it would be hard for her to find another company to debut at and that if she did her parents wouldn't be too angry at her. She again, refused and then muted all chats with him. She was just signed to be a trainee at Dal media and she was going to make sure she would debut.

🧸 Sorano is still at odds with her parents and brother so she prefers not to let anyone know who they are or what they do

Sorano's relationship with her parents is... Strained to be frank. Since she's left Japan to pursue a career in Korea instead she's been extremely low contact with her parents. In fact, since she's been training she has only seen her parents a handful of times. She prefers to spend holidays with her friends families instead and her parents really only contact her to tell her not to fail and come crying back.

Due to her parents, Sorana's relationship with her brother is also strained. He was the model child. He did whatever his parents wanted, even so much as being a major Japanese idol and composer for their company. He's known for his many talents playing both classical English instruments and traditional Japanese instruments. He's always been too busy to talk to Sorano but since she's left for Korea on her own he started to worry about her safety. Since he kept urging her to come back though she hasn't been responding to any of his messages. He's still trying to convince her to come back to japan.

Seonmi is Sorano's best friend. They met at BY-U and have been pretty close ever since. To this day, the two of them still talk, and for holidays Sorano usually stays over at Seonmi's house. Seonmi is Sorano's biggest supporter since she gave up her idol dream. Seonmi's house is full of Eclipse merch.

🧸 close friend / Morohoshi Asuka / Sociable, adventurous, sensitive
Asuka and Sorano are the same age and both Japanese. When Sorano joined Dal media, Asuka was the one Sorano was most drawn to first. Sorano and Asuka are like two peas in a pod. They do the dumbest stuff together and never get into trouble for it for reasons they both don't know. Also, Asuka was the one Sorano asked to help in Korean. Sorano is very grateful for Asuka's presence in her life. 

🧸 close friend / Takashima Kenji / Sociable, witty, dramatic
Kenji was one of the first people Sorano talked to and they hit it off right away. He was just so kind, and so friendly. She thought 'wow, is this what having a brother is supposed to feel like?'. She truly sees him as an older brother figure and would definitely take him over her actual brother any day.

Yuna and Sorano met much later in Sorano's trainee days because by the time Sorano came to Dal, Yuna had already debuted. Nonetheless, they had met and become pretty close friends. It's nice just to have a group of people who you can speak to, and even if Yuna is more quiet, Sorano will fill the void happily. Sorano likes how well Yuna listens and she gives good advice in her opinion so she goes to Yuna when she needs it.

Like all groups, there are some she's close with, and some she isn't, but all of her members she appreciates very much and she loves them. She tries her best not to get into arguments with anyone and she hopes everyone else also will work well with her. Eclipse is all she has as family so!
 

🧸 Rival / Kim Yunji / 21 / Idol - Beauty box / Honest, hardworking, rigid 
Sorano and Yunji hate each other. When Sorano was in her first company Yunji and her had a very rival relationship. One always had to top the other. Sorano hates to admit it, but she was the reason Sorano REALLY put in work to become an idol. She's also the reason Sorano left her old company. The two of them kept getting into major arguments and the company said they either have to pretend to get along or both be kicked out. Sorano chose to leave instead, she knew that no matter what, her and Yunji would never be able to be on friendly terms.

Trainee Life.
🧸 Sorano had less of an understanding of Korean when she joined BY-U Ent so life was much harder for her. She took Korean classes very diligently while also training to be an idol. She mostly kept to herself at first, trying to get used to the new way of life, and living with more girls that couldn't understand her and vice versa. However, even as her Korean skills grew, she was still having a tough time with a particular trainee. Kim Yunji was the absolute bane of her existence. They would argue all the time about god knows what. Sometimes the best days would just be if they argued only a handful of times through the day. By the end of the six month mark, both girls had to be pulled into the office and the staff asked them to please be at least cordial to each other because they were both set for debut and the company did not want to kick either of them out. There was a few days of trying when Sorano found out that Dal media was having auditions. She auditioned, and passed and then informed the company that she would transfer companies instead. BY-U was a bit hesitant to let her go, but once she said that Her and Yunji would not be able to work together no matter what, they let it happen.
🧸 At Dal media, things were completely different. She tried much harder to get along with all the others. Her korean skills were still fairly bad, so she asked other trainees to help her and suddenly, training was much more fun. Sorano was originally a vocalist, but for a monthly evaluation, the team she was on needed a rapper and she tried her hand at it. She was actually very good at rapping, and the trainers suggested that she switch from singing to rap training, and she did. She enjoyed writing her own lyrics and playing with flows. Then Twilight's debut was gearing up. Sorano knew she wouldn't have been picked for Twilight anyway there were other trainees that were there longer and have worked harder than she has. Besides, she only just took up rap, so she just continued to try her best. And by the time almost two years have passed, Sorano's Korean had gotten so much better. Her rapping and dancing as well.

🧸 2022 / False / Eclipse's Sono a bully?
   → A former staff member at BY-U who was friends with Yunji had said that Sorano had a bad personality and that she used to bully Yunji. Both Yunji and Sorano had agreed to come out and said that they used to bicker a lot and argue as trainees but once Sorano has left there hasn't been any bad feelings. (This happened because Yunji and Sorano really don't have any hard feelings. They just clashed a lot and would not be good in a group. Also Yunji knew if she kept silent and it was proven false her group would also suffer. Neither girls wanted that) 

🧸 2024 / False / Paid to be an idol?
   → Somehow someone found out Sorano's parents were CEOs of a very popular Japanese music agency and obviously a rumor spread that Sorano's parents paid for her spot in the group, and probably also helped Eclipse become as popular as they are through mass buying albums. Sorano immediately tried to clear up rumors by stating that she had gotten in through her own hard work and that the group is popular because everyone works hard. Dal made a response saying that they didn't even know Sorano's parents owned an entertainment company and Kazumi, on behalf of JKL Ent, had also said they had no involvement with Eclipse or Dal media.
