theyre siblings, yuu knows this but he cant say anything much more than hes met their twin. because he doesnt remember much yuu doesnt want to lie and say he knows where their sibling is. the easy answer? the abyss. but the difficult answer? yuu doesnt have one. the traveler is kind and yuu knows theres more to them than they let on; layers and layers of secrets and untold sayings...just like yuus memories.

since hes a wraith yuu has been into the abyss world many times. at first it was an accident and he was confused but he met the abyss twin and they guided him through the endless days. after that yuu got used to being transferred there whether by pure force of magic or his own will.

 

yuu doesnt remember much about them but he knows despite his memory they were a kind soul and yuu wishes to see them once again.

yuu met tsubasa as a wraith when she was a child, lost just like him. he guided her to her home and became friends. she grew into a companion who stood by his side despite his being called the reaper of the island. tsubasa was different in the way she treated him; like a human. she made him feel loved and most importantly free.

 

she started to become ill reminding him all too much of his mother, triggering even more memories of his past. when she died yuu was heartbroken because not only did his only friend leave him but his feeling of freedom as well.

 

TRIVIA if u combine their names it becomes wings of freedom. yuus entirety is finding out his past and becoming free of his wraith self (becoming more human). tsubasa was a huge part of remembering his childhood as she was the one who caused more memories to appear
