Jihu has had penpals and tutors in English for a long time and is terribly excited to use it when she can. 

Japanese and Mandarin - All the bad words. Jihu learned how to swear specifically so she could curse in front of her parents and they wouldn't know what she meant right away. The trend continues with any new language she can get someone to teach her.

appearance » For some reason, despite being completely contrary to her normal personality, Jihu had inherited a certain bored and maybe tired look about her fce. It's just her neutral face. Growing up, it made people assume she was this placid, chill sort of girl. Knowing her siblings and parents also make people assume that. They are always in for a surprise when Jihu actually opens .

style » Keep it cute, keep it simple. If an outfit or looks takes Jihu longer than maybe ten minutes to put together, she ain't having it. But Jihu always has a finger on the pulse of curtrent fashion trends. She particularly loves accessories, so while she might wear simple clothing, her shows, her bag, her hair clips: all are absolutely on point.

Jihu is not a damsel in distress. She is the goddamn knight that's here to kick down the door, slay the monsters, and steal yo girl. And she will proclaim it to be so before you can blink or protest because that is just how Jihu handles the situation: go in head on, ready for a fight, and come out swinging. Her boisterous, sometimes erring on rowdy ("boyish" is what her parents used to tell her while she rolled her eyes at their dated opinions), behavior is rarely tempered by caution. The type to always ask forgiveness rather than permission. That is who Jihu has always been. You hear Jihu before you see her. She is the thunder right before the storm hits. The blaring of a train horn before it barrels into and smashes you to smithereens. Some say, if you don't move, she wont see you. Not true, but it's certainly funny to see someone try. Once she sets her sights on you? You're going to be her friend whether you like it or not.

Because Jihu has a mission in life, and once Min Jihu is on a mission you can either go with her on the adventure or get out of the way. Jihu tolerates very little when it comes to this. Ever the optimist, Jihu never gives up even when it seems like everything is against her. She has confidence in herself and that she can weather the storms coming her way. This confidence tends to go a little too deep though, veering towards being foolishly naive in her optimism that things will work out. Worry about consequences later is fine until someone gets hurt (someone else or even herself). She jumps into the deep end without considering that the water might be unsafe because what could possibly be in there that scares her? Jihu swims beautifully! That won't stop an alligator from getting her, but Jihu may have to find that out for herself. But good luck telling her that: Jihu is nothing but obstinate and has to often learn things the hard way, sadly. She likes to think of herself as some mastermind, some brilliant plotter and schemer, but she lacks a lot of the temperance and judgement for those schemes. Some foresight would serve her well. But nahhhh everything will be fiiiiine. Usually. Hopefully!

In her everyday life, Jihu is surrounded by people. Ever the extrovert and social butterfly is what her parents and teachers called her. Trainers and other trainees also came to know Jihu for her gregariousness. If there was some activity or foolishness afoot, Jihu was probably somewhere in the center of it. She cannot stand being left out. She absolutely thrives in an energetic environment. Even during quiet moments, she has to be doing something if not allowed to talk. You'll find an idle Jihu dancing in place more often than not if waiitng in line or backstage. A person would never have to feel like the awkward one in the party as long as Jihu is around. She'll take you by the arm and ensure you aren't isolated or left out of things. She just really loves people in general.

And while she thrives in chaos and crowds of people, Jihu often finds when left alone for too long fighting to not feel left out or lonely. Growing up in the shadows has given Jihu two things for sure. The most apparent as stated above. The quieter, less noticeable, less talked about thing? Trying to always prove she is worth having around, even if there isn't an eed to prove that to anyone. So she's going to make sure you at least remember her.

• she makes up words for songs on the fly to suit her mood. As in, its not "I'm ing tomboy" its "I'm ing tiiiiiired!!" She has a song for all occasions and can coin a phrase to suit it on the fly easily. Maybe her relation to her brother really does show up more than she and others think.
• She loves ghost stories and all things spooky. She tells amazing stories and has a head full of them. The better to scare you she says!
• Hate hate HAAAATES if people ask her about her brother before getting to know her first. She accepts her brother is very famous. But damnit, she isn't here to bank on that! At least, not when she isn't needing to. 
• Dogs are love. Dogs are life.
• They have been fighting real hard top get her to drop her Daegu satoori, but it's a losing battle at times. It just slips in no matter how hard she tries to not let it, adding to some of the judgement knetz level at her.
• She has so many accessories. New and old. She is an avid thrifter as much as a shopper for new things. She will never be without something perfect to match. And neither will you if you're her friend: Jihu won't let someone walk out looking a disaster if she can manage to help them.
• Also she's a pretty decent sketch artist. Nothing fancy, but she can get the jist of her ideas down claerly enough.
• If she is going to go back to school, it'll be for fashion design and probably business management. Despite it all, Jihu does have SOME pragmatism.
• She will eat anything. She isn't picky about food. But she is picky about her drinks. Fizzy and bitter drinks are deal breakers. 100 percent.

THE Story.

background » When the Min family had their third child, everything was unplanned and unwanted all at the same time. They were growing older with two growing boys, they shouldn't be having other children. And yet, here they were with a new born baby after one mistake. Some might have called her a miracle baby, but she really was their accident/mistake baby. They may have viewed her as an accident at first, but Jihu wasn't treated poorly, just differently as there were definite age divides, even with her parents. It's proabably why she came out as she is today: independent and wild at times. 

She remembers watching her second brother, Yoongi, as he worked on music and talked ot her about what he wanted to be when he grew up. While little Jihu didn't always understand it all, she knew he had a passion and drive for what he was doing. Despite her parents' always telling her to, "Not be like Yoongi. Go into more prestigious studies", Jihu always said she wanted to be like Yoongi, not like their eldest brother.

Fortunately or unfortunately, despite it all, Jihu ended up wanting a less conventional path afterall. Now, it wasn't music per se she had passion in, but jewelry and fashion. She used to eat up all the fashion magazines and articles, watch all the runways, Jihu just knew she wanted to be part of that world. However, she knew this would be a long term goal. She wasn't naive: it would take time to make a name for herself...if she did it the conventional way, at least. That's how Jihu ended up becoming am idol trainee. She was 13 when she started going into music more, joining clubs in school. But this was all part of the long game.

YOU SEE, Jihu, unless she wants to toil away for years and years until she's, like, the oh so old age of 40 or something, she needs something to be her hook. She needs to get her name out there. And, one day while in school, a friend mentioned to her (her parents would forever curse the name of Noh Hyeonsu for his part in this) that it's a shame she couldn't just be as famous as her big brother, Yoongi aka Suga of BTS. 

And that was the day Jihu decided she needed to capitalize on that . Immediately. It was time to show that musicality, even if not exactly what she wanted, runs in the Min family! Sher could leverage that just enough to get her into a compnay! So that's how Jihu found herself training at Source Music (since, despite her efforts, Big Hit still didn't have female trainees). She was a competent singer who needed some fine tuning and certainly had enough charisma to push herself ahead. And in the end, after making a name? She could then launch her own fashion and jewelry line. Make accessories. All that jazz. If she found she loved being an idol too? WELL ALL THE BETTER! Jihu is here for the long game damnit. She was going to find success however she could, on her own path (kinda) and newvermind the naysayers!!

And then Source was acquired by HYBE and the clouds parted and HERE COMES MIN JIHU WATCH OUT!!

Min Family (sans Yoongi) - Jihu oftentimes, even though she doesn't say it outloud, feels like an odd one out in her family. She was never mistreated, but often feels misunderstood by them. She's not the typical dutiful daughter they may have wanted. Her brothers are much older than her, so even those relationships feel awkward at times because how do you relate to a much younger little sister when you have your own adult life to deal with? That being said, they are family and she does care about them quite a bit. Part of her just wants to succeed to exceed their expectations since she has gone down a path they did not want her to.

Min Yoongi (Suga) - Older Brother - Her favorite family member. They are so very different, but that's probably why they get along honestly. He's introduced her to other BTS members before even. She used to try and email, text, message, anything whenever she could to keep in contact with him. He used ot always bring her souveneirs from around the world and she still has quite a few of them. But she rarely gets to see him face to facer as much anymore and only when she joined Source and then HYBE did they finally begin seeing each other more often. Honestly, Jihu tries not to be seen with him too much. She is always worried, deep down, that others will assume nepotism and she is trying to avoid that as much as possible. He is worried about her being an idol though. It's not that he doesn't think she'll be good at it. He'll be the first to say she has a better personality for it than him most of the time. But he is worried she might suffer more than she realizes, and he knows she's a bit of a fool too so there's that. Still, he's her favorite and he knows it.

The Fans/Knets/Netizens/Etc - Jihu has a weird love hate with them. Half of them say she only got into Pop Girl's because she us Suga's sister. Another section of them claim she is not nearly as talented as her brother. Another piece of the fandom claim, partially truthfully though, that she is in this just because her brother is famous and she wants to be famous too. Another set, and maybe some groupmates/labelmates/employees, claim her loud and boisterous behavior is all fake and for show. Some might say Jihu spending time to read comments can't be good for her mental health. And they would be right. While she may never curse out a knetz or fan, grinning and bearing it usuaslly and waving them off as "just fans" regardless of what they say, but then internalizing it and letting doubt creep slowly in more and more. But she also has a small subset that seem to like her a lot. She clings to their comments more than any other.

POSITION » Lead Vocal, Sub Rapper 

Stage name » Seoli - When HYBE decided to capitalize on her relation to Yoongi, they really went in. Since he was Suga for his white skin like sugar, they decided she is Seoli, like the word for sugar seoltang. HYBE never makes it known that this is the reason for her name. It's only during an interview later that someone in the group mentions she was named Seoli because she was supposed to be sweet as sugar. Netizens and fans put the pieces together themselves, and the hate train came roaring in. 

VOCAL » I liken her vocals to Twice Jeongyeon's. Stable enough, nothing too powewrful, but decent for a girgroup lead vocal. 

DANCE » Similarly, I'd say her dance is like Jeongyeon's. Decenty enough as a girl group dancer, but defintiely not someone you'd put in the danceline.

RAP » She raps the talk rap most idols do. She's definitely better at it than most, but its by no means remarkable or standout. It's perfect for sections where she needs to step in or when the songs needs a little pop of something to change it up. It was really disappointing to fans when it turned out she was not some master rapper like her brother. Yuna's rap from ITZY might bne a good parallel.

sTRENGTHS » No fear and making herself known! She is the kind to grit her teeth and go at something headfirst. She has the drive that keeps her head above water when all else fails. Come at her haters. She ain't scared of anything. It makes her ideal for new concepts and such, and she is definitely very good as speaking out when others might be less able.

WEAKNESSES » See above. Particularly for a girl group, she tends to not resonate as well as more "feminine" or "approachable" members. It makes her image hard to manage and during promotions its often hard to characterize her and is prone to change with comebacks as HYBE tries to figure it out. She's also not always the easiest to work with as Jihu definitely has, very loud, opinions: she unfortunately doesn't have the clout yet to get her way though. 

TRAINEE YEARS » 2019-present. 

TRAINING PERIOD » Her being a BTS Sister was always kept on the downlow. Jihu isn't the kind of person to announce her relationship. She keeps her personal life personal, thank you very much. However, even though she definitely used the name to get her foot in the door, Jihu has found it is frustrating that it still comes up all the time. She should have known it would really. Throughout her trainee time, she always heard, "are you as *insert some detail about BTS* as your brother?" ort maybe "Do you think you can get me Jungkook's autograph?" or even "Are the guys single? Really are they single? Can you introduce me?" 

Jihu wanted to capitalize on her relation a bit, but she never fully understood the implications of it in the long run. It was short sighted of her really. So her entuire trainee period, all she hears from other trainees is about her relationship to BTS Suga. At first, she rode the wave of it. If it meant furthering her own aspirations, then lets go! 

But she ended up, after all of it, having a decent voice and there was defnite potential for her to be debuted. She's pretty, can sing a bit, idol rap when needed, and plus has some star power behind her should they choose to leverage it. She delays going to university to be ready to jump into debut if it happens.

Honestly though? She kind of likes this idol business. She didn't expect she would, but its something her personality and extroversion has lent itself to.

FUTURE ACTIVITIES » Activites outside of music would suit her really well. As odd as it sounds, any MC or variety, she will excel in. She miiiiight dabble in song writing at the urging of the company or others, maybe tap into Yoongi or Hyeonsu for help in that regard, but really any activity that helps get herself, as a brand in of itself, is perfect. Jihu is wel aware the idol nonsense can't go on forever. She has to secure her next phase of life after it's done.

SUB GROUPS » GIVE HER ALL THE GROUPS. Listen, Jihu isn't here to be picky. The simplest answer will be: she wants to be in the most popular of the three subgroups. That's it. The one she doesn't want to be in? The one fans aren't receiving as well.

personality » Hyeonsu is a dweeb in the words of Jihu. He was always the kid other kids picked on or took advantage of because he never really put up much of a fight. That's not to say he is weak willed or anything. Hyeonu just dislikes conflict and would rather keep the peace than cause a fight on most days. He wouldn't call himself a leader or follower: he's just a guy who likes to go with the flow as long as that flow isn't hurting anyone.

He has his passions too though. He is an aspiring artist himself, but rather be behind the scenes composing or writng or producing. Hyeonsu just kinda dislikes too much attention on him. All eyes OFF him if you please. As such, the few times you will see a strong reaction from him is when it has to do with his work. He often finds himself at odds with himself: he both wants and loves to have his work praised, but his dislike of being center of attention makes him shy away from totally grabbing what is his. It's a problem he has been trying to figure out a solution for. He's brilliant, but just quiet and shy on top of it.

Some have called Hyeonsu odd or a little eccentric. He just thinks he's a nerd with way too much trivia and random knowledge in his head that he likes to share with others. Ask him something and he will extrapolate every little detail of the subject. He gets very excited when someone shows interest and will talk your ear off if you let him. He also tends to have the oddest ideas for fun. Rather than going to club? "Let's go to a haunted house and try to talk to a dead person." Or just the random thought he spouts out at times. "Did you know butterflies will drink your tears and blood if given the chance?" - said during a meeting with one of the recording artists after they'd just crooned out a heartbreaking love song.

In general, Hyeonsu is just a quiet, odd little man. 

love story » Hyeonsu has known Jihu and her family for quite some time. His earliest memory of the Min family was this little girl literally shoving him off the swing because he was taking too long and she wanted a turn. Her parent forced her to apologize and then she just kept following him around, asking him to buy her juice and candy. That's how Hyeonsu met Jihu for the first time. This has coloured most of their relationship really. Despite being older than her, she has always been the boss and schemer. Hyeonsu has forever been her +1 to anything from being a minion in a plan to just helping her with heavy furniture. He doesn't mind. Despite what some might consider her being a bully to him, in actuality Hyeonsu and Jihu just really like each other and get along super well. As often as Jihu seems to bully Hyoensu into something, he just as often reigns her in. While it might seem like Jihu bullies him, Hyeonsu realyl just lets it happen because he likes being around her on her terms. Plus, Jihu never does anything harmful to him or his sensibilities. If you knew them, you'd not question their relationship.

But! Being her senior, Hyeonsu ended up completing school and went off to the military for his mandatory service. That's how they eventually lost track of each other for a couple of years. From there, he went to Uni and pushed hard to graduate early so he could jump into his career of choice: production. He is something of a prodigy when it comes to this and has been extremely fortunate to land himself an internship and future job with none other than HYBE itself. He idolizes Suga. Having grown up around him and his family, seeing him achieve something amazing? It has coloured Hyeonsu's aspirations to also one day succeed - maybe not as an idol, he's not nearly THAT confident, but maybe in a similar field.  This was literally a dream come true.

He literally said, "What the ...!" when he ran into Jihu later at HYBE. 

In essense, they like each other a whole lot. Had both decided on less adventurous lives, they'd probnably be back in Daegu discussing future plans already. She'd be going to university, he'd be finishing his maybe. They might have even been planning what and where they'd be in another few years. Maybe even marriage. But instead they're here together trying to make their way in the entertainment industry. And this is where they start to disagree on their paths in life. While Hyeonsu suports her decision, he really worries she might not be doing this idol thing for the right reasons and that it might destroy her. She doesn't appreciate him doubting her or her intentions, but is he really all that wrong? He's concerned. But Jihu doesn't need concern, she wants to make her way the way she wants. She needs support, not concern.

So while in the past they were partners, these days when they encounter each other it's more akin to squabbling and chastising each other for things. He doesn't think she's thought this through. She thinks he doesn't believe in her. It's all a mess. That being said, they never leave the other on 'read' when messages are exchanged and will always answer if the other calls for any reason if they can. Plus, Jihu might, MIGHT, be jealous of the new friendships, particularly with women, Hyeonsu has made since parting ways with her years ago. If only she's be foolish enough to just be honest and tell him. He is literally one of the few people, particularly when she gets more spotlight, who knows the way she acts is genuinely who she is, not just a show for cameras.

tl;dr: Jihu is the kid sitting behind Hyeonsu and pulling his hair once in a while to annoy him because she likes him and he doesn't realize that's why she bothers him.
