PersonalityAt least three positive and three negative traits!

TRAITSINFP, Hufflepuff, Lawful Good, 1w9, Melancholy-Phlegmatic
determined, considerate, polite, shy, independent, perfectionist, workaholic, insecure, timid, calculating, pessimistic

Dalisay is an ENFP turned INFP. Before she was an outgoing and determined girl that didn't let anything get in her way. She wasn't shy to dance around and burst out into song or be weird. She loved to say cheesy jokes and enthuse about conspiracy theories. She was just herself and didn't care about what other people thought. But after training at SM she completely flipped 180.

Now she's more cautious when it comes to meeting new people and making friends because so many of the friends she had turned out to be fake. She prefers to be alone and do things on her own than with other people just so she won't get close to them. Before when learning a dance, she'd learn with everyone else then perfect her part on her own instead of asking the others to join her.

Since she was looked down on she has that mentality that everyone does which causes her not to be able to relax around people fully. Her posture is alwasy right and she's always polite, just to prevent from having something negative to be said about her. She thinks a lot more about what she does before she does it now. She makes sure to try extra hard and dance extra hard because she knows she's at a disadvantage. It can make her seem like a workaholic but she just does what she has to do to succeed. That determined side never left her, just isntead of being so assertive she works hard quietly.

One thing that did change was her confidence, before she was the kind of person to volunteer to try things first and not be afraid to fail. But now she's scared of failure and afraid to mess up at all. Kpop is all about being the perfect idol and Dalisay definitely feels that pressure as a foreigner. Afraid that any little mistake would lead to racist comments that ruin her self esteem. Her family would tell her how beautiful she was before and she never denied it, but now she gets flustered by any little compliment. Just showing how much the training system really broke her down.

The show might be a hard time for her because she'll think back about every little thing she did before the episode airs and overthink about how the public might react. She'll automatically go to the worst case scenario and expect hate comments over all of her interactions, even find the flaws in situations that don't have flaws. This became the norm for her after training for so long, she just always expected the worst and she didn't have anyone to turn to so keeping her feelings and experiences to herself was normalized.

But one thing that never changed is that she follows her heart. She can't help but help someone that needs it, she refuses to turn a blind eye to someone struggling no matter if they appreciate it or not. She might be hesitant and afraid of what'll happen, though deep down she knows what she truly wants and that's for her voice to be heard and to make her family proud.

BackgroundWhat was their childhood like? what happened to make them who they are today?

Dalisay is from Manila Philippines. She has an older sister, three years older than her and a mom that was 19 when she had her. She doesn't know her dad because he was on a business trip when her mom met him and promised to come back after finding out she was pregnant but never did. Her dad was originally from Argentina though he worked and lived in San Francisco, and that's all she knows about him. Also that she apparently looks a lot like him because she looks nothing like her mother.

She came from a poor family, since her mom was only 19 with two kids they still lived with her grandparents and a few cousins in a house that was too small for the amount of people. It was like Dalisay grew up with many siblings despite having only one sister because of how big her family was. She really loved it too, it was chaotic and they faught sometimes but all family does. At the end of the day they came together and supported each other.

Dalisay's grandparents ran their own restaurant and karaoke bar. They would have live music often and her uncle's band performed there a lot so she grew up around music. She learned to play the guitar and a bit of the drums from her uncle and his band. They let her perform with them from as young as five because she loved singing and performing. All of Dalisay's family can say that she annoyed them with her loud singing growing up and when she discovered Kpop, it got so much worse.

Her sister was a fan of kdramas for a long time, when Dalisay was younger she remembers watching Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss with her sister and cousins. It was her sister who discovered Ring Ding Dong by SHINee and Dalisay became obsessed. She can still remember her grandma screaming at her to turn it off because would just play Ring Ding Dong on loop all the time. Her sister became a huge SM stan so so did Dalisay, she loved to dance and sing around the house with her sisters. Her uncle even learned the accompaniment for The Boys by Girls Generation so she could sing at the restaurant.

She was never shy on stage and her family knew that one day she'd be a big star so they started supporting her dream. They put money together for Dalisay to enter dancing and singing lessons because she was so naturally talented. She sent in online audition tapes to the big three companies for years and never heard anything back. It became an annual thing for her and each time she only got better. She also participated in local competitions and won a few bringing in some cash prizes for her family. In 2015 when she was 13 she tried out for the TV talent program Starstuck Season 6. She was the First Princess, aka the runner up and got a lot of offers after the show to join big agencies in the Philippines like Star Magic. She was in the process of signing with them but then she got an email from her dream company, SM Entertainment saying she was accepted. Instead of signing with Star Magic she flew to Korea and signed a trainee contract with SM. That would be the last time she saw her parents in 6 years.

MOM / TALA MALAYA GARCIA BAUTISTA / 39 / MANAGER AT GRANDPARENTS RESTAURANT Dalisay doesn't talk to her mom as much as she used to, after coming back from Korea her mom noticed the change in her daughter immediately. She says shes fine but she's yet to open up to her about her experience in Korea. She doesn't know what happened but she's against Dalisay going back to Korea and competing. She'll tell her to come back over any inconvenience.

OLDER HALF SISTER / DIWATA LORNA BAUTISTA AQUINO / 23 / STUDENT Diwata is really proud of Dalisay for becoming a trainee, she brags about her all the time to her friends. During training Dalisay told her stories like she met Minho and he bought her coffee or she was friends with Karina for a while but none of it was true. She just wanted to hide the terrible things that were happening and keep her sisters good impression because her temper is a lot shorter than Dalisay's and there were many times that she threatened to go to Korea if anything bad happened. When Dalisay goes on the show she will watch every episode of it with her family and tell all her friends to vote for Dalisay.

UNCLE / RAMIL TAN GARCIA BAUTISTA / 42 / USED CAR SALESMAN AND MUSICIAN Dalisay looks up to her uncle as the best musician she knows. Connection to the kpop industryIf they were a trainee this is where you put their trainee life. It's also a place to describe any history or connection your character has to the kpop world!

TRAINEE YEARS6 years at SM Entertainment

TRAINEE LIFEDalisay became a trainee at SM Entertainment in 2015. She was excited to start training at her favorite Kpop company but being in a foreign country without being able to say more than 3 words in their language, it was hard. Dalisay was the only filipino at SM and one of a handful of Southeast Asian trainees. In her 6 years of training she went through a lot and developed depression. She was a family oriented person so being away from her family was hard in itself, especially since they limited her cellphone use. It was also hard for her to make friends because of the language barrier, while she did speak english there wasn't many trainees who could do that either.

Even trainees who could speak english started staying away from Dalisay because she was bullied. The korean trainees thought they were superior to the foreign trainees so bullying was common during training. Especially the ones who lived in a dorm, it was like they were in boarding school so they had their own drama. The wealthier trainees got better treatment, and the Korean trainees got better treatment so at SM Dalisay was at the lowest status. She went in optimistic trying to befriend everyone, she told her sister about the mean girls but didn't take it as seriously because all they did was talk behind her back.

It started to get worse in 2017 when Dalisay started secretly dating a male trainee. Around her he was nice and even tried to learn filipino to make her more comfortable but around his friends he acted totally different like they didn't know each other. He was good looking so she thought she'd have her Kdrama moment where she comes out on top and gets the good looking guy. Little did she know that he was also dating one of her bullies and from her bully's point of view, Dalisay had a crush on her boyfriend so she put extra effort to make her time at SM a living hell.

It was then that Dalisay's friends started turning their backs to her and she was all alone. She started to hear what people said behind her back and learned just how cruel the things they were saying were. She remembers a specific time that she reserved the dance room and the girls before her were supposed to clean up after themselves but instead they left the mess behind and said "You're from the Philippines right? You should be used to cleaning floors then, have fun." and shoved the broom at her.

Needless to say she broke up with the male trainee a few months later but that didn't stop the bullying. It wasn't him that caused her to get bullied, instead being involved with him made it come to the forefront. Outside of training she was getting discriminated against too, some restaurants wouldn't let her in because she was a foreigner. The trainers would call her pretty for a Filipino and said that she looks good because she's pale. Sometimes the bullying was physical like when she did well at a monthly evaluation and her chance to debut looked promising, she was would get pushed to the floor at the dorms at yelled at to do worse next time or else. Her evaluations fluctuated because of those times, even trainers didn't udnerstand when she suddenly did bad because she was doing so well the day before.

In 2020 Dalisay was a strong candidate to debut in Aespa. After 4 years of training she was hopeful that she would finally debut but in the end she didn't get chosen. She stayed in SM a few months after Aespa debuted but left in mid 2021. She went back to the Philippines skinny and depressed, completely different from the optimistic girl she was when they last saw her. Her dreams were shattered and she constantly wondered how her fate would be different if she signed to Star Magic instead. She thought of leaving the entertainment industry as a whole, though after finding out about Produce Angel she wanted to give it one last chance to represent the Philippines and shed light on the racism faced by many foreign trainees in Korea. But will she really be able to change anything or will she just face racism all over again?

InterviewPLEASE ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS FROM YOUR CHARACTER'S PERSPECTIVE, IF THEY'RE LYING OR DELUSIONAL PLEASE PUT THE REALITY IN BRACKETS.

IF YOU WERE A MEMBER OF A K-POP GROUP, WHAT WOULD YOUR POSITION BE?"Honestly I'd be satisfied with any singing and dancing position, just debuting would make me happiest."

OUT OF 10 HOW TALENTED WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF?"I'd consider myself a 7 out of 10. Hmm yeah.."

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A KPOP IDOL?"Because I love performing. I've loved it since I was little so my ideal career is doing what I love for a living. But it's not just performing that makes me want to be an idol. Kpop as a genre is amazing and creative and versatile and I want to be apart of that. It's so popular in the Philippines so there shouldn't be anything wrong with a Filipino idol right?"

DO YOU HAVE GOOD STAGE PRESENCE AND CHARISMA? WHAT ABOUT STAR QUALITY? "I haven't been on stage since I was 14 but I've been training so hard for the last 6 years so I hope I have enough star quality to debut."

WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A TEAM PLAYER?"Yes I do. I like to practice alone but we have to do well as a team in order to succeed."

cOMMENTS

The fastest app I never finished wow. Just wanted to add here that I can see a misinterpretation happening, like when she confesses that she was supposed to debut in Aespa people assume its an Aespa member she's talking about that bullied and their fans bash her etc. I could just see that turning into a whole mess. I can aslo see her getting close to some Korean trainees on the show that she can show her fun side with after a while and realizing that they're not all bad. Idk. Or just make her get eliminated before she can make friends and leaves the entertainment industry all together. Just some ideas. She is in your hands now.

Appearance  Describe any differences between them and their face claim.

Dalisay cares a lot about her appearance, being pretty is an important part of anyones career and being a trainee really made her start taking care of herself a lot. Her Argentinian side gives her more western features than most Filipinos. She has a tall and slim figure at 168cm and 48kg. She tends to follow the korean beauty trends like aegyo sal instead of standing out and would never leave her house without putting on some makeup and straightening her hair. One thing she could say about Korea is that living there has definitely made her care about her looks a lot more.

fASHIONDalisay's fashion is like her appearance, she goes along with the fashion trends. She prefers to dress modestly but she still makes sure to dress to impress.
