vivien was born as the next guide to the volcanic lake for those who seek their future. as a child her father had said to her that if one were to pray in the middle of the lake to the volcano, their future will be told. if the volcano stayed dormant their future would sail smooth, however if it were to erupt then doom would face them. he had told her to never go in herself, to not stray from just being a guide

 

when she came of age her father had passed during an adventure and she became the next guide. she was and became loved by the people of her village; villagers and adventures alike came to her for guidance despite their future. when she herself became curious of her future she apologized to her father and prayed

 

the volcano erupted; it was rage and anger and despair for the villagers as it was the most devastating eruption she had seen, and she could do nothing to stop it. the people of her village ran while some got caught in the sea of fire, and in one final cry to save her home she was granted a vision that would freeze it over

 

yet depsite everything she did to save it, the village burned and people despised her. she couldnt leave her home no matter what but she had to and so she created a spirit of herself to take her place for the frozen lake wouldnt last long; fire was fire after all. she left for sumeru and makes a small living as a potioneer
