an orphan maybe? like bennett and shenhe where he was abandoned + growing up in a place like inazuma wasn't the best because the vision hunt decree would have so he moved to mondstadt and trained to become a knight
in inazuma he was a worker to an abusive household (unnamed) until he was around 12, gained his vision as a way to escape and the pure will to leave the abuse, and trapped the family in a poison field to die slowly (one of them probably isn't dead yet and is currently looking for tsubaki)
boarded a ship to mondstadt as an adventurer to run away and trained to become a knight while he befriended jean. he became known as one of the most ruthless knights as the years went by and is currently still living in mondstadt

ten thousand flower camellia time stop-ish (petrify?); idk if time stop or petrify is the word but he essentially creates a poison field that stops the enemies' movements for a brief amount of time (like a vine cage); the longer (based on 3 seconds) he holds(creates) it, the longer it lasts. poison dealt based on max elemental mastery, poison lasts a total of around 5-8 seconds, cd 12 seconds L10+5
waiting for an eternal sleep keqing's burst-ish + wb raiden's time stop but with extra power ranger spice; creates a void where time stops and traps the enemy in a "dream" (kind of like mona's burst wherein it looks like space, but for tsubaki it looks like a meadow) that casts a nightmare (basically a fancy name for poison) dealing dmg based on max elemental mastery. lasts 7 seconds, cd 16 seconds L10+2
bloom in the night selfish dps + dendro so maybe a small heal like kaeya's based on his hp on every other 3rd attack

role dendro sounds like a support element but i feel like tsubaki would just be a hard or selfish dps depending on his element at the time (physical or dendro).

playstyle hard but without touching anything; does that make sense? like he's so powerful to the point where he doesn't have to do anything but lift a finger type
constellation horologium, "clock; pendulum": as tsubaki is able to mildly control time, i wanted to incorporate that into his constellation. in japan, the camellia flower is a symbol of bad luck for warriors as it represents a death (though not in vain), i imagine it to look something like this combined with the horologium constellation

about lumine traveler, i think these flowers would look beautiful on you.
generally views them as a younger sibling or someone he takes care of. first met in mondstadt much like how traveler met amber and kaeya (as part of the knights), but in a diluc or eula way where tsubaki saved traveler and paimon from a raid. i think their relationship wouldn't be the best in terms of having light conversation or friendly banters and would be more like it's tsubaki's duty to protect them as a knight and to watch over them; however as time goes by (especially when they go to inazuma), i think tsubaki would slowly start to open up about his past and what he went through as an orphan who ran away from "home" (he has no place to call home currently)

about jean master jean, master jean, MASTER JEAN.
respects jean as the (acting) grand master and his superior. he had shown time and time again that he would follow her. they had been childhood peers and grown up together, but jean is and will forever be tsubaki's master (er, mistress?). he forgets that jean is his friend most times and that it was her family who had welcomed him to mondstadt, so they have a fairly business-like friendship, though tsubaki tries to stray away from his knight status to let her be close with him again

about kaeya i think...you need to lay off the wine, captain.
met as peers during their training of becoming a knight. back then i feel like their friendship would be fragile and a very slow burn because of both of their pasts (kaeya being from a destroyed nation and tsubaki being a slave on the run), and only then would they start to open up about themselves
diluc
about diluc what an . (did the term a-hole exist then? i guess if boba exists then yeah)
because tsubaki is close with kaeya, he had wanted to be close to diluc as well, but after diluc shut out everyone, tsubaki gave up because he learned from experience that once he's shut out, the other party would want nothing to do with him. in the end, they aren't enemies though neither are they friends; i want them to be sort of rivals but they don't fight in a petty way
cain
about cain you are just as bad as diluc—how dare you seek my captain?
cain is an enigma. at first he seems like diluc with his dead eyes, other times he's just like kaeya with his reassuring smile, and tsubaki has a hard time trying to decipher which is the real him. they def did not have a meet cute because cain's rbf competing with his own is too much tension. dk, tsubaki will probably soften up to him after he learns that cain is a good man who serves for his people, but as of the early story he's more careful on cain's intentions/background
