chaeri gets easily impatient when she have to wait or just when things doesn't go her way. she also tends to be moody, jumping to a mood in another one in minutes. she will probably be all sweet and all then suddenly get mad at something silly sometimes without even having a reason.

BACKGROUND

lee chaeri was born on june 26th, 1992 in seoul. she is the first daughter and the second child of a rather wealthy family. she mostly grow up with her grandfather, an old traditional singer and her brother, two year older. despite her parents absence, her childhood was really happy because she was still loved.

convinced by her grandfather how used to talk about who amazing her voice was, chaeri began to take an interest in music at a young age. at ten, she learned to play the piano and went on to singing competitions. she won many times but sadly she stopped after her grandfather death when she was thirteen.

she tried to stop singing by getting more into school but her mother noticed how much she was under pressure and start convincing her to do what she really wanted to do. unsurprisingly and after much thinking, she decided to make it big to honor her grandfather. she worked hard on her singing abilities and even took dance classes to get ready for auditions but she didn't have to do that because she got scouted while doing shopping with her mother in 2006 when she was fourteen.her father wasn't sure and didn't really trust MAXIMUM at first but after some crying on haeri part he gave up and let her join as a trainee.

IDOL LIFE

her life as an idol was not as glamorous as she thought it will be. because heaven's had a stable popularity it wasn't as hard as many other groups who didn't sadly last long. but because she wanted to be perfect, chaeri was often pressuring herself. she spent days working on her attitude, her expressions but sometimes she felt like it was in vain. she always made sure to be grateful to fans by responding as much as possible to letters she received. she worked hard on her expression for fan-meetings events, even skipping sleep at times. other than that she didn't made many friend in the industry because of her cold image but she meet few people thanks to her members who were always making sure that she was meeting new people. she used to spent almost all of her time with heaven's members or visiting her family when she could. she wasn't much of the type to go out and partying every days but she enjoyed meeting her friends over dinner sometimes.

LIFE POST-ACCIDENT

physically after the accident she had to have her jaw operated immediately and spent almost two months on crutches.
mentally this period was definitely the worst of her life. she felt guilty for surviving, guilty to still being alive and was really depressed. after the funerals she spent all of her time at home under her mother's supervision because her family were truely concerned for her well being and mental health. she was unable to sleep for a long time, isolated herself to avoid people who were only interested in gossip and didn't talk to anyone.

hoping to make the guilty feelings disappears she started drinking more and more to the point where most days she happened to be already drunk in the morning.because she knew full well that it was the end of her group, she asked to be released of her contract but the label asked her to make one last song before leaving which she end up doing with the other members.

a few months later after having had a long conversation with her brother who is her best friend, she decided to take charge. She quit drinking and decided to live a decent life instead of ruining her own life. she tried to keep in touch with the other girls, but it was way too difficult.

CURRENT LIFESTYLE

currently chaeri is a solo singer under MAXIMUM who were more than happy to keep on working with her after heaven's disbanded. she didn't easily rose to popularity with her first single "never ever" release in november 2016 but got her break out months later with her second song "I". her career is very stable and she established herself as one of the best female solo after all her songs releases.

on the side she's working as one of the new vocal coach with maximum trainees. she's there all the week from nine to four expect when she's having promotion of course.

she actually lives in yongin in the seoul region in a rather nice apartment with her two dogs.

Q: WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING IN HEAVEN?

definitely the fact that i was not alone. we all were on the same boat and while i wasn't the youngest i think that when you are only seventeen debuting with other girls helps a lot.

Q: SINCE HEAVEN, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO?

i'm still in the industry. i love singing so i really couldn't see myself doing something else. being an solo artist is not the same as being with a group but i still enjoy it a lot. i also started giving vocal coaching to the trainees of my label so let's say i'm almost always busy.

Q: HAVE YOU KEPT IN TOUCH WITH THE OTHER MEMBERS?

i tried but not enough i guess. i just feel bad about the fact that i chose to isolating myself after the accident so i don't blame anyone for the lack of communication between us but i think we were just so young and all too lost.

Q: IF YOU COULD PICK A SOUNDTRACK FOR YOUR LIFE, WHAT SONGS WOULD BE ON IT?

after much thinking i will go with lee sora the wind blows. it's a sad song but it also kinda about moving on because the world keep on going even if you feel your own life is falling apart. what i mean is that you can be sad, have a broken heart because when you take the risk to love either romantically or not you have to accepte the hardship that comes too but at the end of the journey you have to move on if you have to because time is always running.

Q: OF COURSE WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THE ACCIDENT. ASIDE FROM THE DISBANDMENT, HOW HAS IT AFFECT YOU? HOW HAVE YOU COPED?

at first i didn't feel like it was true. i didn't understand why i was still alive while my two of my members were not. it was hard because i didn't anyeone to see me as weak as i was back them. I tried to bury the guilt by using means that were not healthy for my health. i was lucky to have my family by my side from start to finish and of course my best friend. they all helped me out and then my unconditional love for music helped me too.

every experience is different, but the best thing to do is to surround yourself with people who loves you and who you love too. don't feel weak just because you have feelings. if you wants to cry do it but don't waste your life away with regrets.

PERSONALITY

to the outside world, jaemin is a lovely boy. he is intelligent, nice and hard working. he is very extrovert and like meeting people a lot. talktive he's the type of person who will always have something to say. very helpful, he is very ready to help his neighbor without thinking twice. sadly he also tends to be very naive, trusting too easily and forgiven as easily. despite the fact that he is a smart kid, he can be quite clueless about things and be very slow at understanding a situation or someting like that. he rarely thinks before making a decision, always letting his feelings and his instincts guide him which makes him very impulsive. although he may appear confident, jaemin is always afraid of not making a good impression and often finds himself anxious.like everyone else he gets angry at times and always lets his pride get the better of it in the end. after an argument he can come back many time if he truely cares about you, but once he is fed up he will eventually stop and will not put himself down anymore.

BACKGROUND

kim jaemin is from a simple family. his father is a cook, owner of his own little restaurant and his mother was a kindergarten teacher. he grow up in a nice environment with his older sister and baby brother with whom he have a good relation. when he was fourteen, his mother sadly passed away so his sister took care of their family and he tried to help as much he could. he used to work hard at school and also had part-time jobs even if his father's restaurant has always done well. after high school he did his military service and after two year he came back to study in college. he's actually a medical student.

FIRST MEETING

they meet in 2014 when he came back from his military service. jiyeon had invited chaeri to his release party his release party thrown by his friends and his family. she was pleasantly surprised to find that despite what her friend had told her about him being annoying, her brother was actually very mature. when his friends asked her to sing heaven's songs he was the one who asked them to leave her alone noticing how uncomfortable she was.

LOVE STORY

jaemin and chaeri have always had a good relationship. two year after the accident when chaeri was ready to get her driver license he is the one who helped her. so for her he was kinda like family, like another brother. however, things changed after the break up with kyunhyun.

after a bad argument with her ex boyfriend she didn't know how to get her things back. she didn't want to call her brother knowing he will get angry and not wanting things to go away too far she called jaemin who showed up the same night to help. they were able to calmly collect chaeri's things and while jaemin drove the young woman home he started telling her how much she deserved better than all the men she was used to date. she jokingly asked something like "would you treat me better if we dated?" and he simply answered yes if she gave him the chance. she still tried to not take him seriously for the sake of her friendship with jiyeon.

yet two day after they ended up sleeping together and had this type of relation until the summer 2021. because she doesn't want to be a burden to him and to keep her friendship with Jiyeon she chose to stop everything before it all got complicated. when they talked about their relationship she just told him that she wanted to get married as soon as possible to please her mother but not with him. obviously he got really hurt by that but is still sure that she is in love him (it's true) so he respect her wish while being really attentive towards her even in front of people not wanting to hide his feelings anymore.
