✧ HOW SHE BECAME: CHEON SAYA ✧ 

cheon saya was born just a few minutes after her fraternal twin brother, cheon harang, but it's as if that she mattered less than him. saya lived in a conservative, patriarchal family in tongyeong, a small city located on the southern part of the peninsula, with her small minded father. her mother is not as ist as her father, but she couldn't say anything back to him regarding the mistreatment as he is the head of the family. but this doesn't make young saya weak, she knew that the mistreatment isn't right and isn't afraid to challenge her father's mindset. any activities harang did, saya did too. "it's a waste of time and money, it's better to have only harang to do it," her father would say, but being the stubborn girl she is, saya didn't stop asking until her father finally complied. all she wanted was her father's recognition, that she's important and capable too, not only harang.

when her brother started doing taekwondo when they were nine, saya started doing it too. saya is not born with the talent, and she tried really hard to beat harang in taekwondo skills, until now she reached 3-dan black belt while harang stopped doing taekwondo mid-way. this made her physique enviable to other girls; tall height, above average looks, slim body.   

one thing that differs harang and saya are their specialty; saya is greatly talented in art, while harang is a more science guy. as she learnt this fact, she self-learnt to paint and draw, and even won a couple of drawing competitions since she was eleven years old. but even with a lot of gold medals from her taekwondo matches and drawing competitions doesn't change her father perspective, and even thought of all of these are a waste of time, since "she'll only end up in the kitchen, serving her husband."

✧ HOW SHE BECAME: ANGEL ✧ 

saya's adamant that her father' words won't happen, and will focus to make her dream come true no matter how long it will take. at first, all saya wanted to do was to become a designer, or anything related to art. she never once thought of her being an idol, since all she could do then was just mixing up dance with taekwondo moves. she could hold out some tunes but she thought nothing special about it.

home was toxic, she wasn't able to endure her father's nagging and discrimination anymore, especially after harang got into kaist, while she didn't get into any university after graduation. 

and as the announcement for the upcoming project of sm reached her ears, saya's impulses spiked and she decided to try to audition via her youtube channel, gaining a million viewers by the end of the audition period. after the final announcement, saya was thrilled and excited to do this new journey of becoming a kpop idol. when she told her parents regarding this, she said, "i auditioned for this kpop project and will start training to debut as an idol under sm entertainment. this is merely an announcement for you, not me asking for your permission." 

as expected, they were furious, especially her father, and cut all contact and support altogether since then. saya left tongyeong and went to seoul with the money she had collected since the start of high school, from doing multiple part time jobs.

saya's glad that harang is in seoul, and at least she won't be alone in the city.
