background
Nari was born out of wedlock to a teen mom in Incheon, South Korea. Her mother wasn't a part of her life until she was much older, and she was raised by her maternal grandparents, who were fishermen and ran a fish shop,Β until she was nine. When her mother did come back into her life, it was a very weird and awkward exchange, and it caused her to recede into herself a bit. She's a bit touchy when talking about her family, so she actively avoids talking about them - though she will very rarely talk to her grandmother (she still calls her Eomma despite knowing she's her grandmother) on the phone.

Because she had a rocky home life, Nari lost herself in the world of PC rooms after school instead of clubs. She was never very outgoing and getting lost in a fantasy world in a dark, dimly lit PC room really fit who she was inside.

Despite spending a large majority of her time in PC rooms, she did well in school - even managing to pass her CSATs with such high numbers several schools in South Korea and even a few international colleges asked for her to join them, but she turned them all down for her passion - gaming. Of course, her mother didn't approve of the choice at all - and what little familial support she had vanished almost overnight.

But Nari wasn't about to let things like family and obligation hold her back. She decided to pack her few belongings and move to Beijing, China. China was known for having a few female professional gamers - and if she wanted in, which she did, it was the best place to make a name for herself. She spent six months basically living at a small PC room getting her rank on the leagues so high they couldn't ignore her anymore.Β Her first boyfriend, a man named Wu Xizi, was also a fequenter of the PC room and helped her get her first offer to join a professional team. Of course, it was his team, Reality Gaming.

As things go, Nari didn't really see the relationship going anywhere and broke things off after a year of dating, just as he was thinking it might be time to propose. He didn't take it well and when she moved teams, he immediately began to slander her. Unfortuntately for him, she turned all theΒ  media attention around on him and used to help build her career. She became the poster girl for gaming - pretty and quiet. Most fans of hers are misfits like herself, who need someone they relate to. A lot of girl gamers look up to her, though she has never seen herself as much of a rolemodel. She always tells her fans to support Jung Hwayoung, the real rolemodel for girls who want to game.

The iConquer league isn't huge and she got wind of Hwayoung's retirement and ultimate goal - and she immediately contacted her to show her interest. She had enough money to break her contract - it was just a matter of whether or not she was chosen for the team.Β
aim higher
A true INT-J, Nari is the epitome of a perfectionist. She's constantly thinking about strategy and how she can manipulate her life to get what she wants in life. She prefers her own company over that of others, and she's not known for being overly friendly. In fact, a lot of people say that while she has a very cute face, she's a bit off putting upon first meeting. This is because Nari is a firm believer in first impressions, and if she isn't impressed by yours, she will easily write you off as not good enough to be in her equation to sucess. However, that's not to say she can't see the facts in a situation and will include those around her when needed.

She works decent in a team atmosphere, despite being a little grating in personality. This is because while she is very self confident, she understands the power of a well oiled team that meshes well together. While she might not like someone or something from the start, she will begrudingling accept that as part of her life if the facts show that it is needed for her to gain her life goals.

She can be a bit hard to manage when she gets to talking about stategy and planning. Her sight level is always second to none and she knows exactly what she's talking about. Confidence oozes from her when she's talking stategy and analytics. She's great at memorizing patterns and thought processes. She can focus on a process, see the end, and see a way to mitigate it in half the time it takes others in the same field.Β Her mother often jokes if she hadn't gone into gaming, she could have easily gotten into Harvard or Seoul National based on her testing scores. She's actuallyΒ a genius (IQ 174), but she'll never tell anyone that. She thinks people will take her knowledge for granted if they think she's just naturally smart - and won't actually see how much effort she does put into the work she does.

As a perfectonist, Nari spends a lot of time training, whether its playing on the ranked leagues or in training sessions. She treats every game as if it's for a championship, and she can get a bit heated when she loses. She takes criticism well enough, but she hates losing. The only thing she hates worse than losing is talking about her feelings. She's a serial bottler until she eventually explodes and storms out in a flurry of angry words, hand gestures and sounds until she can be alone long enough to cool down. Because of this, she can seem insensitive and callous towards other people's feelings because she doesn't even know how to handle her own, let alone anyone else's.Β
what position do you play?
"I currently specialize in Mid-Lane and Jungler, but I'm well trained in Support and Bottom Lane, as well. I can play whatever position you request of me with determination and hard practice."
Have you had any scandals?
"My first year in E-sports was a quiet one, until my ex made it known he had been dating a 'top player' and I came under a lot of backlash- even though his fans weren't 100% sure it was me. They thought I had used him to get into the Chinese circuit. Still, I was into the spotlight at the start of my second year in circuit, where my team actually ended up going to the finals. I guess I actually have him to thank, really. He brought the media, I just woo'd them and made them love me instead. He and I do not talk anymore. He said I made him look like a fool, but I think he did a pretty good job of that in his own."

Name: Lee Junyoung
Age: 25
Profession: Professional Gamer
Team/Company: GHJ Gaming

How they met: Junyoung and Nari went to primary and secondary school together. He was one of the few people who would frequent the same PC rooms as Nari and they formed an almost unlikely friendship that lasted until they graduated.

Current Relationship: Basically strangers. Very rarely they will see one another at interational competitions, but they act like they don't know one another anymore. This is mostly Nari's doing, and Junyoung feels a bit hurt that she treats him so coldly when he was one of the few people who supported her dream to play professionally. He knows she's been playing for a team in China, but he doesn't know she's coming back to Korea - yet.

Future Relationship: To be seen in the story.

Personality: Junyoung is about as opposite of Nari as they come. He's very outgoing, expressive and thoughtful. He's one of those people that just naturally attracts attention and fame. He's good looking and confident, but not in a cocky way. He's personable and always has a smile for everyone. He treats his fans like they're his personal friends and he always makes time to do a daily livestream for them. He doesn't always know when to take a hint and can be a bit thick headed when it comes to the very few (i.e Nari) who don't want him around. Despite his natural ability to be outgoing, he can focus when he needs to and he's one of Korea's top Bottom Lane players in iConquer. He is the oldest player on his team - by 2 months - and is the team captain, mainly because he's good at resolving conflicts and issues without causing too much strife on everyone.
