PERSONALITY like mother, like daughter. She wants everything go according to her will, and when she wants it... she needs it. She will do anything to get whatever the hell she wants, including sabotaging her own friends hence the nonexistent amount of friends she has in the camp. She is also an over-achiever and perfectionist. She wants to be the best or nothing and suffers heavily because of her own expectations. If anything go south, she will either beat herself or blame someone and create more major problems. Mostly the latter.

The jealousy her father had planted on her make it even more worse. She can't see someone succeed if she doesn't. This will put her in a foul mood and (sighs, again) blame anyone she could think of. She couldn't seem to take accountability of her actions because it is easier to do so. This makes her come off as childish, but thank the goddess she has the mouth of a fox. She seems to effortlessly turn any arguments about her into your own fault. "it's not my fault that you're like in love with me or something". is also extremely ready to send hard, cold facts about people whether it is offensive or not.

Her ability to manipulate people lead her into a walking femme fatale. She can be very persuasive and tricking any guy to badly desire her as she pleases. This makes her very confident and unapologetic to herself. She knows she's pretty, and y, and ing amazing. However, despite the strong facade, she is actually really smart and cunning. She is an amazing logical thinker in battles and able to win by paving her own way to the goal. Being the daughter of the goddess of family also makes her quite over-protective over things that she loves deemed agreeable (e.g. Lukas). Her perseverence make her the deadliest suit. You do not want to mess with her by dragging other people into the battleground.

Now, she can be a lot more insecure than what she shows. Because of the books-long family drama and betrayals, she has trust and abandonment issue. She believes that she is unable to have someone genuinely likes her without something in return. If anyone ever give her the desire to connect with her genuinely, sooner or later, she will dump them first by being too suspicious over their intention. She likes to broke connections first before they could hurt her - that's been the less painful way to cope. Due to this situation, she usually works alone and doesn't mind being alone as it is easier for her to hurt them first. She is aware of this, but hard to let go the habit. She always feels sorry about hurting them, but she can't please everyone. She sometimes feels lonely and try to mingle, only to come off as superficial and untrustworthy.

Her biggest goal is to be able to connect with someone comfortably and let herself go of any expectations of herself.

All in all, she struggles a lot with her inner feelings. She is in the middle of learning how to process her grief upon losses. She definitely tries to act all tough, but she holds back a lot more strong opinions than what she expressed.

 

BACKGROUND Raya knew that she was born for something great. Her father thought so, too. She told her stories of the greek gods and mainly rotates around Nike. He believes that she will bring him luck with Raya's nature of victory and competitive which turns out favorable in beauty peagants. Her father used Raya's beauty and competitiveness to win money on beauty peagants and tracks competition (due to her nature of being unnaturally fast than other kids at school). The constant competition and her father's pushover traits made her more ambitious to be greater than anybody else and went out of her way to achieve victory. She was only nine when she accidentally broke her strongest competitor in national track competition.

She was only ten when Raya realized her father doesn't love her as much as when she won him money. When she stopped winning 1st place in beauty peageant for a whole season, her dad didn't bring cook her any food and left her scratching lottery tickets for the rest of the season. She had to eat cereals for one whole week because she was too little to cook. Her dad didn't call her 'my perfect little girl' until she won 1st place in track competition next month.

When she reached twelve, Nike reached to her and broke the news that she was her biological mother. Being a giddy, little girl, she was eager to make her way into Olympus and become the regarded resident there - only to find out that demigods belong in summer camp and ... nothing more. When she thought the summer camp would be the perfect chance to have more friends, she found herself competing against the whole camp. At one point during her early days in summer camp, she felt like she was worthless for the first time. With that many demigods and their various powers, Raya could only resort in manipulating her way out of victory. She found herself unable to have any friendships with anyone as her victories were deemed unacceptable by most of them and by now, it was too superficial to have any connection with Raya.

Raya agreed to occasional visits from Nike in the mortal realm and the values of victory she received from Nike shaped her over-achiever and perfectionist traits. To be honest, none of these parents could count to be Raya's parent figures as they never treat her as something more than a victory gainer. The lack of genuine love around her make her grow up to be sceptical of genuine connection.

Since twelve years old, she focuses more on track competition and able to book her place in the national team. She is competing to be the next lineup for Olympics next year. She tried her best to keep every cents she made on those competitions, but her father would threw a fit and threatened her if she didn't give him no less than 85% of the income. Since eighteen, she has provided herself with a sugar daddy which explains her expensive things.

GENERAL IMPRESSION At first, she is genuinely happy and eager to be a child of Goddess Nike. However, after learning that demigods are not quite acceptable in Olympus, she grew a resentment towards the goddesses and gods by making such absurd rules about demigods. The lack of motherly traits from Nike also didn't help Raya to be at peace with her demigod status. The fact that she was also deemed to be an offspring of a smaller goddess worsened her own judgements. She loathed that there are demigods children of more bigger gods and goddess and made them naturally into her long list of enemies to kill.

 

SKILLS she is naturally faster than any demigods in the camp and able to jump farther than any other people. She is also a natural-born fighter and athlete. She manages to excel on gymnastics, high-jump, long-jump, running, and archery. She is also agile in combat fighting. She is able to be very persuasive and uses her appeal to make men bend to their knees for pleasure. When she wills it, men couldn't resist for her.

Her mother gives her the power to manipulate wind in a smaller scale. She could hear the wind whispers her news and able to tell the wind to lead her the way by scent, whispers, or rustles.

However, she is struggling to reach in the top two (booked for alani and lukas) of the summer camp as it heavily rotates around brute force and fairness. It makes her feel like failure. 

RELATIONSHIPS 

mortal dad \ chris rogers \ alive \ boston \ 50 ; Raya has been distant with him for more than five years. The memory of him basically starving a little kid still scarred her and she couldn't allow her to forgive and forget that. They live in one roof but only talk when they need to split Raya's money prize from competitions. He left her to do all the house chores and cook for her. When she was gone, Chris piled up pizza boxes and only called her when he needed more pocket money. He is jobless but when Raya confronted him about it, he snapped and said the investment he put on his friend haven't roll out any money and tell her to be more considerate.

Raya pays her ten dollars for each feet pics while Raya benefit up to a hundred dollar for a few feet pics. Lottie stays neutral stance to Raya's reputation in the summer camp because Lottie feels like she was paid a good amount for little magic work.

enemy \ alani kekoa \ 19 \ she's her strongest competitor in the summer camp. Raya gets on a y mood when near alani due to her jealousy and just casually making y remarks about her as if she is casually picking fights with alani. There were several moments that the camp almost went into chaos after Raya told Alani something offensive. Because of that, both tried to get as far away as they could from each other and they are literally opposites magnet that couldn't work together. Raya's best strategy to win over Alani is her agility and speed and she prides over it. All in all, Raya would always throw sarcastic, annoying remarks towards her - even offensive just because she hates her for being the prized fighter. Raya thinks she deserves to be prized as well.
