to everyone on the outside looking in, joowoo is a rather friendly and likable person. he doesn't try hard too make friends or be the center of attention as he naturally attracts attention with his openness and approachable aura. he's hardworking, never complaining if the workload is too large and follows structure. headstrong, but will allow himself to be swayed if it doesn't make him too uncomfortable.

joonwoo hadn't even planned on staying very long, just until his friend debuted. and when he did, he left. most were shocked to see him go; as joonwoo was insanely talented. on the outside, everyone had thought sm screwed him over for a trainee whose visuals were better but truthfully, he had been in the lineup but he declined. a few months after he left he really started to miss it. he went to train at sunrise ent after being scouted. his trainee experience at sunrise was definitely different from sm. joonwoo can honestly say it was enjoyable as the environment wasn't as competitive or heavy like like sm.

there wasn't a single time throughout joonwoo's 7 years that he wasn't in the spotlight. as a talented singer he never lacked lines. and as a fan favorite he was constantly on variety shows and even commercials. sadly, because joonwoo was pushed to the front so much with the variety appearances and acting gigs he was always out doing something with a short break in between.
joonwoo thought he could handle it, and he did in the beginning, but the constant gigs and rarity of seeing his closest friends and family really took a tole on him. he thought he could refuse but his manager made things rather difficult for him to say no. guilt tripping him into doing it was their favorite tactic.
the seasangs didn't make it any better. it seemed with every appearance he makes the seasangs grew.
you'd think his label would give him a break after having seasangs stalk him for months and letters threatening suicide. but no, it wasn't until his constant anxiety turned into a full blown attack after having a seasang threaten to pull the plug on his grandmother (who was in the hospital due to her heavy decline in health). he passed out after hyperventilating during his attack.
