WARDROBE on the island although there are plenty of high society familes and class it wasn't the island's thing to be really dolled and dressed up. if you were to take someone from the mainland and the island you will cleary see that there is a differences in style. on the island they tend to go for more earthtones, less embroidery and design compare to the mainland. soojin likes to dress simple and sometimes dresses in trousers so it be more comfy for her to do her day to day task. most days shes out by the ocean so the islanders are quite use to seeing their lady in her swimwear.

BACKGROUND born to the house of ko, her father a duke who governs jeju-do island genertation after generations. born as the middle child with two older sisters who has been wed off the the mainland and a younger sister who is 18 and a baby brother who is 14. her mother was the duke's second wife as his first wife of his first two daughter passed away from sickness. unfortionately at the age of 8 her mother also passed away from sickness. her childhood was robbed from her so quicky when both her two older sister wed off and she was left to tend her heartbroken father and two younger siblings. of course they had maids and butler to help but she always felt she had such a big responsibility to take care of her family. her serious nature and determination to be the best of the best stem from this event. she started enjoying sitting by her father side as he attends his political gatherings. soojin was just so curious about everything and her father who did not want to deprive her of anythig let her learn what ever she wanted whether it was horse riding, sword, cooking, martial arts, politics, and even diving into the hard water of their land to source for clams and abalone with their local diving women.

— when her father heard of the highly regarded daughter of Min he knew he had to introduce his daughter to her in hopes that lady suji could help influence soojin. lady suji was invited to the island and soojin welcome her and took care of her stay. the two were awkward at first but lady suji was so kind that soojin immediately took a liking to her. they are by far polar opposites but they did have some common interest and when they found those interest they talked for hours. BACKGROUND born of a baron's son, house of kwon. he was always just as fun and lively when young, heaert broken a lot though because of his lower status but that never stop him from flirting with wealther families' daughters. at his first season he made head turns with his looks but his status only got him dances and when he sent flowers most maidens politely accepted but never a visit. their parents warn them off and show displeasure to have him engaging with their daughters. when he decided to join the military that was when he became more infamous. he fought along the prince and duke of lee so well that he was taken in as knight under the duke of lee. from there on out his lifestyle changed. he became obsess with this new attention he was recieving, it made him happy because it felt ike a slap to those people who looked down on him.

THEIR STORY they are no longer stranger to one another yet they have not held any conversation longer then 10 minutes. being friends with the duke of lee and lady suji they two have cross path and heard plenty of each other. while hyunbin is quite curious, soojin wants nothing to do with the man. over the course of 6 years seeing him season after season and how he is rumor engaged to a maiden then is dropped suddenly has caused her to look at him in a bad light. she seen those maiden cry and she's even seen first hand of him playing with a maiden's dress in the garden once. all she wanted was some air from the ball and she stumble upon the promiscuous action. when they first met he dare ask her allow him walk her around the garden and when he pulled her fan to her lips. "sir hyunbin i am giving you to the count of three to remove your hands before i sock you in the throat."he was quite shock but admire her for being so brazen.
she dreaded seeing him and dancing with him the most, but if she was to refuse him meant she was refusing to dance the rest of the night and she did not want to leave any bad impression on the queen. they've once dance for nearly 30 minutes. she could only hold her smile while he whole heartedly enjoy seeing her suffer.
with his two good friends settling down hyunbin has made soojin a conquest he must win,. settling down still seems like a far away goal but perhaps wnning soojin would be enough for the moment. she has been the best chase in his life since she disliked him so much yet in front of the queen and season she had to act proper and polite towards him. with the duke and suji though the two know how hyunbin's and soojin's relationship is actually like. lord yul often tells hyunbin to treat her nicely because she's been through a lot and lady suji has assure soojin that although hyunbin comes off strong he is actually a sweet heart who cares and protects those around him very much.
