by fans, jieyan's personality is commonly and officially defined as "flirtatious". she has a lively, outgoing manner, is the best when it comes to say sweet words to fans or giving fans fanservice. when it comes to boys, she also sometimes behaving as if she's interested but not in a serious way. however, living as an heiress of such powerful family, jieyan was brought into her family's business very early and faced a harsh world of business filled with betrayal. as a result, jieyan found it hard to trust people and doubted that 'love' existed.

background: yes, she love singing ever since she was a child. but her singing ability isnt' the thing that make her landed in snh 48. first joined the group in 2015, she passed the trainee phase and went straight as team hii's member due to her father's connection. well, you can say her family is actually super rich and kind of having some influence in china, including entertainment industry. she tried her best to prove herself that she deserve the position isn't just because her father's power. but still, though at the last senbatsu she managed to sit at the fourth position, there are people and even her own members said it's all again because her father. it's frustating, yes, but she try to get off of those negative feelings. focus on her skill development so more people will notice her talent.

- an otaku who likes every genre of anime, no wonder she's fluent in speaking japanese because she watch anime a lot

"to be honest, i only watch the latest season. the one called summer madness. i think it's... hot and intriguing?" she laughs. "like... i know it is only a variety show but hey, whatta great heart you have if you don't fall in love with those hot bods when the crews themself ask you to date. not to mention they are indeed creating the perfect romantic atmosphere."

"i never date before so... lemme say that i'm totally clueless when it comes to ideal type and other romantic thingy." she paused a bit, looks like contemplating on what she should say. "i don't need a perfect man. but it'd be great if he's a good looking one and has at least one specific skills that he's great at. that way i can brag about him to my girls." another laugh comes out off her lips. "also someone i have a lot to learn from."

she shrugs and simply saying, "i just want to confirm if love exists? well at least in me. because i never in love before."

"i hope this season will be waaay more interesting than ever since the cast come from different countries bring many kind of culture. hope it'll be an unforgettable experience for me either hahaha..."
it's awkward but i love it
first meeting: their meeting might isn't as awkward as the other. though jun never ask, jieyan would confidently telling a lot about herself, including where she spend most of her childhood, shenzhen. as a surprise, they went to the same primary school before, pudong south road elementary school. of course they weren't known each other back then. but at least starting from this, they have a lot of things to tell like their favorite teacher, the most killer teacher, what was the school building like now (because jun hasn't visit the school for a long time due to his activity as seventeen's member). they also share their favorite place to hangout. while jun often went to baishizhou, A narrow lane some 50 meters north of Jiangnan Supermarket, and enjoy spiced flatbread sold there. xieyan likes huaqiangbai better because it is located in between malls. simple things like that surely would bond over the two quickly.

when you first see him, you'll think jun is a quiet, the eccentric, cryptid friend. he is private and reserved. his need for personal space can contribute to this. but when you get to know him better, you'll see another layer of him. he likes joking around and is more playful to those who can speak mandarin. he likes to make little comments all the time, burst into songs, and jokes around. for example once jun and minghao did a mandarin livestream where they filled in a 'brain map' for themselves and jun filled in every box with something like 'can't tell you!' or 'it's a secret!'
