Personality. 

🌺 Sabrina in a nutshell would be described as adaptable. Being able to mold herself into new surroundings and become part of the community is something she took pride in. Becoming someone who seems like they've been living in an area for years rather than a few weeks came to be because she was able to use her wit. Being clever was something she always took pride in. Catching on to anything and being a fast learner made it easy for her to understand essentially anything thrown her way.n Theories and formulas were easy, and so was understanding other people's emotions. This is what helped her be so cooperative. She had always liked to work with people so understanding their emotions helped a lot. It also helped that she hated disagreements and fights so she would much rather get along with other people. It was one of the things that made her much more efficient in her work when she needed to consult other people. Sabrina likes to be fast and good with her work so she gets things done efficiently often. She does better when she works alone, but that's not much of a surprise to her. Anything she's given will always be done in a timely manner. It's one of the few things that makes her practical as well. She tends to jump into things before she thinks herself out of it and it mostly works out. She needs to jump into tasks rather than just think about it, because if she just thinks about it it'll never get done. Lastly, Sabrina is the definition of sociable. Being out in the crowd and making friends is something people see often. Big crowds bring up her mood and she loves being around people. She likes talking to people and getting to know everyone. Including people into conversations is one of her specialties so no one gets left out. Being chatty and being in a chatty atmosphere puts her at ease. It makes her feel good.
🌺 Being adventurous is one of the points that are both good and bad. Sabrina is naturally curious and so she loves doing new things, and she naturally seeks out new things to do. However, often times she will roam around by herself because she forgot to tell someone she was heading out. She just disappears from the group and is found later when they call her to find out where she went. Bold is another one of Sarbina's defining traits. She's always been the one that speaks out when other's are too afraid to speak up about situations or things they want changed. Speaking her mind is something both loved and hated about her, because you know exactly what she thinks about a person, but she also does not hold back in her criticism either. There is no filter from her brain to so whatever she thinks, she says. No hesitations at all. One of her odder traits is how easygoing she is. This lax and cheery atmosphere usually follows her around. She hardly ever seems to be stressed and she is seen mostly relaxed no matter what. 'If it is fixable, stress isn't necessary' is her motto and she lives by that rule. This is terrible in serious situations though. It's hard for her to really gauge how serious a matter is if not properly explained. Though Sabrina would hate to admit, she needs attention. It doesn't have to be the whole room listening to her, but she needs at least one person paying attention to her most days. Her happiness lies in attention, and so she is, by definition, exigent. If attention isn't granted, she gets kind of moody and pouty until she gets it. Because of how exigent and chatty she tends to be, no one really notices how observant she really is. Speaking and watching is what Sabrina does best. As she talks she notices the little habits you do, how you cover your mouth when you laugh, the way your eyes look when you lie, everything. She picks up on all the habits and little defining things of a person and remembers them.  This also helps her pick up moods and emotions. Because she is so sensitive to not only her own emotions, but others, she can pick up someone's dropped mood and understand the feelings behind it. She will press a person on their feelings only if it's not too bad or self destructive. Talking out negative emotions is much more healthy than bottling it up, in her opinion. However, she does not take criticism well and her feelings can get hurt easily depending on the tone of voice used by the person. It just depends on how they're feeling and the way their joke or comment comes off. 
🌺 It is a bit unexpected since she hides it well, but Sabrina is anxious very often. Behind her easygoing attitude lies a whole layer of worry for a multitude of things that ranges in importance. Since she jumps into things instead of thinking it through, worrying about the outcome of her project is normal. Worrying about the feelings between people after an argument is also a norm for her. She typically masks her more bigger anxious feeling by being dramatic. You could often find her exaggerating stories and acting like problems are bigger impacts in her life than they are. It stems from both feeling the need to cover her anxious feelings and her need for attention. She does, however, get pouty when she's called out for it. Her impulsive nature is often seen as negative. She does whatever she wants, whenever she wants at the drop of a hat. If she wants to walk around, she will. If she wants to cook food, she's in the kitchen by the time her thoughts finish processing. Jogs during the night, going to the convenience store at 3AM, heading to the company in the dead of night, all things she did, and does regularly. It doesn't help that she's rather indecisive either. Being impulsive comes from her being indecisive. How? Because if she thinks about doing something, she thinks herself into a bind and ends up between 'Yes, I should!' and 'This is terrible.' all the time. Her decision making skills is absolutely terrible and so she just has her members make mundane decisions for her, like what to eat and what color pen to get from a stationary store. She just malfunctions when she's asked to think deeply about what she wants to eat or do. She just malfunctions if she thinks. Now, she would not typically describe herself in the typical sense of materialistic, but she is. Having a lot of things make her happy, but nothing like designer bags or clothes. No, she likes stickers and plushies, pens and notebooks. Simple things make her much more happy than anything designer ever will. There's a drawer that's full of stickers she bought and was gifted that she never uses and no one else is allowed to use either. Her pen collection is another drawer, all still working because she couldn't bare to use up an entire pen. To wrap it all up, Sabrina has the attention span of a fly. If it's not interesting or stimulating, she drops it. There's a file with a bunch of unfinished projects she started and just wont finish because it's boring and she can't focus. Once she loses interest, it's as good as done. She gets distracted by essentially everything, and that's why she isn't pursuing university education, because she wouldn't be able to focus on the work.  

Background.

🌺 Sabrina was born on August 17th in the evening in Irvine California as Sabrina Yoo. She was the only child of her mom and thus she was very spoiled. Her mom and dad loved her very much and did everything they could for her. Her dad worked as a regional manager for a bigger company and her mom was a stay at home mom at the time. Her mom took care of her most of the time but her dad bought her most of what she needed. 
🌺 From the beginning, Sabrina lived in a predominantly Japanese neighborhood and learned Japanese alongside Korean when she was old enough. She grew up thinking she was at least some Japanese. She was always close to her dad's cousins and she never really heard anything about her mom's side, but she didn't really think about it growing up. It wasn't important to her. All she knew is that she was happy where she was. 
🌺 She was about 5 when she moved to Lansing, Michigan. She started school there and very quickly realized that she was one of the very few Asian students in school, but she didn't quite mind that. She got used to Lansing very quickly and got to know most of her neighbors and people in general that lived around her. She made a ton of friends and got used to everything very rapidly, including the winters, which was harder for her mom than her. Sabrina always did well in school, always ranking high up in academics. Her mom had decided to work as a waitress while she they were in Michigan for extra income, so Sabrina tended to go to her neighbor's house for a few hours to do homework and play. 
🌺 Then she moved again when she was 8, back to California. Except she moved to Santa Barbara. There she met more of her cousins. She, once again, was in a Japanese predominant neighborhood and her mom decided she was going to be working again. That was fine, it's not like Sabrina couldn't hang out with her cousins. She was also relatively close to the beach so her family would go often. She would be lathered in sunscreen and off to the ocean she went. It was also there that she picked up dance. She saw street performers when she was going out with her mom and she gained an interest in it. It was just so cool and looked so fun. So she asked her parents and she was quickly enrolled in dance classes. It kept her busy afterschool so why not?
🌺 It was when she was 10 when she was found out that her dad, was not in fact her dad, but a step dad. It turns out that Sabrina was full Korean, and that she actually has two step brothers, an older one and a younger one. That confused her a bit, because she lived as an only child for 10 years, so why was she told this now? Well, that was because her biological dad was going to be in California for vacation and wanted to visit her. Her mom and biological father had kept good relations with each other despite the fact that Sabrina was entirely an accident. Her mom had apparently been updating her biological father on her well-being and since her biological father only had sons, he did intend on meeting Sabrina at least once. When they did meet up later that year, his family was very oddly friendly towards her. Her older half brother didn't seem to care much about her existence, but her younger brother seemed to be over the moon to meet her. He was clingy and sweet, basically attached to her hip when he was visiting. Sabrina found it adorable and let it be, and he had become attached, earning her the dreaded nickname "Susu". 
🌺 From then on every year the two families would visit each other for a week or so. Sabrina learned a lot about her other family from visits and vice versa. She had become more interested in Korean culture and learned more about her heritage. She had fallen in love with kpop too. The music was incredibly addictive and very fun to listen to. She learned that Junhwan, her younger brother, was figure skating and it was amazing. Sabrina had never tried to figure skate before then, but when Junhwan suggested they try once, she did it and fell. She then decided that maybe figure skating was not the path for her and avoided being on the ice at all costs. 
🌺 At age 14, she had figured out that she had basically been an accident of a drunken affair. From what she heard, both her mom and biological father were friends and when they went out with their other friends, one of their mutual friends got them both drunk and bought a hotel room for them to stay in, hoping it would split her biological father and his wife up. At the time, her biological father was married with a child and her mom was dating her dad. While the situation did not cause a split, it did cause some problems in both relationships. From what Sabrina was told by her step mom, her biological dad had begged her to stay and pampered her for months after. It took both her mom and her biological dad sitting their partners down and sincerely apologizing and offering to sever ties for them to be forgiven. They obviously didn't and when Sabrina's mom found out she was pregnant, the whole group ended up overjoyed. It was around that time she also found out about the trouble between her mom and her maternal family. Her maternal grandparents disowned her mom and that's why she didn't know any of her maternal family, not that she really minded anyway. She had just decided that maybe Korea was not the best place to stay.  
🌺 Later that year, both of her parents ended up being badly injured in a car accident while on a trip for her dad's work. Sabrina was staying with her cousins when she was informed and she rushed to the hospital to stay with them. She stayed in the hospital for a few days to spend their last moments together as the doctor said it was basically impossible for them to survive. Her aunts and uncles were already planning their funeral. They passed on the 4th night in the hospital while Sabrina slept and since then she had hated being in any hospital. The difficult matter is, who Sabrina would be staying with. In her dad's will it clearly stated that all of his assets would go to Sabrina, but she was not 18. Her closest aunt had gotten control of the assets until then, but who would be keeping Sabrina until then? All of her dad's family had offered, but being in Santa Barbara was painful. Her biological father had offered to take her in, and she had accepted that. It caused a small rift in the relations, but after she explained why she chose her biological dad, they were more understanding. As long as she gave them updated about how she was doing, they were okay with it. Her biological father had asked her if she wanted to change her name before she moved, but she was undecided. She went to Korea as Sabrina Yoo, and gained her citizenship, only to later changer her name legally to Sabrina Cha. 
🌺 She only spent a couple of months in Korea before she was asked if she wanted to move. Junhwan was going to Toronto, Canada to further his figure skating career so her step-mother and Junhwan would be moving while her biological father and older brother would be staying in Korea. She opted to move and in early 2015 she headed to Canada. Canada reminded her of Michigan and so she really liked it. She had fond memories of the cold winters of Michigan and was glad to see snow again. Canada was a place that was good for her. She entered school and got along well with the students there. She was even able to join a kpop dance club in her school. She missed dancing, since she stopped for a bit after her parents were hospitalized. She also went with Junhwan to skating practice. She tended to act as a translator since Junhwan's English was not the best. She had ended up meeting a lot of relatively known figure skaters while she was there and becoming friends with most of them.
🌺 Then 2016 rolled around and Sabrina was still active in the dance club. The others in the club joked about her joining a kpop company and debuting and so they all made a bet. They all auditioned to JYP's global auditions in August, and Sabrina happened to have made it in. She talked it over with her step-mother and father and they agreed to let her go, and so she went off to Korea in September of 2016. She became an official trainee in late September and was living in the dorm.

(Living) Parents / Cha JiSung & Lee HaeMi / 45 / Varies / Her relationship with her Biological dad and step-mother is on the better side of things. They do treat her as their own child and she is grateful for them, they just don't talk to each other personally much besides check up texts every so often. They're all pretty busy with their lives after all. 
 

Little Brother / Cha Junhwan / 17 / Figure skater / Sabrina loves Junhwan to the moon and back. It's quite evident in the way she let's him call her that dreaded nickname. Junhwan is so funny and silly that he always makes Sabrina laugh without much effort and she absolutely babies him. She holds him dear to her heart and watches all of his competitions. She's a proud sister.

Close friend / Yuzuru Hanyu / 23 / Figure skater / The two of them met in 2015 when Junhwan first moved to Canada. They share the same coach so Sabrina was translating for Junhwan she caught a glimpse of him. Sabrina had gotten into figure skating because of Junhwan so of course she know who THE Yuzuru Hanyu was. How can she not? Yuzuru was just so nice and friendly, trying his best to speak to her in English even though he isn't the best at it. That's when Sabrina started talking to him in Japanese and startled him. From then on, they've been close friends and talk often. During the Olympics she also gave him a Pooh bear stuffed animal, but in person rather than throwing it onto the ice.

Sunbae-Hoobae / Bang Chan / 21 / Trainee(Stray kids) / To be put in simple terms, Chan noticed Sabrina struggling at JYP because she wasn't trained in the basics of singing or rapping. He approached her and made friends with her and then directed her to Jisung for help. Chan was the one Sabrina ended up going to for everything. If she needed help, she went to Chan, if she needed to complain, she went to Chan. Chan was that safe rock for her when she was a trainee and she appreciates him for it. She loves to talk with Chan and they talk about everything and nothing. She admires his dedication and how focused he is, though, she worries for his health a lot.

Mentor / Han Jisung / 18 / Trainee(Stray kids) / Sabrina struggled a lot with her vocals and rap. She struggled with that so Chan introduced her to Jisung. Jisung had ended up helping her with both rapping and her vocals so they both improved drastically since she arrived at JYP. Sabrina was they type to keep trying something until she got good, and so was Jisung. He helped her out in rapping so she helped him out in dance.With that, they became close and eventually got to joking with each other. Sabrina helps Jisung writes lyrics sometimes. Most of the time is them checking up on each other to see how they improved. They have a good friendly relationship. 

Best friend / Kang Hyesun / 18 / Trainee / Hyesun was previously a trainee at JYP. When Sabrina left, Hyesun stayed, only to leave a year later. She is still currently a trainee but that doesn't mean much to them. They often go out together just to gossip and giggle about how things turned out. They try to meet every other week at the least. Friend / Yeh Shuhua / 18 / Idol / Shuhua was one of Sabrina's first idol friends. They were the same age and debuted around the same time so Sabrina took the incentive to push for a friendship. They have communication errors because the three languages Sabrina can speak, Shuhua can hardly speak but they get through it with body language. Shuhua is one of the people Sabrina talks to regularly, and it's mostly about teaching Korean to learn Cantonese. Shuhua is also really pretty and Sabrina is kind of weak for pretty girls.

Groupmate / Park Seong / 18 / idol / Being the same age and in the same group, it was a given Sabrina would make friends. They're less that two months apart and Seong is the introvert to Sabrina's extrovert. Sabrina tends to ask Seong for rapping tips because, well, Seong is the main rapper. With their dynamic, Sabrina is the one that talks and Seong is the one that listens. Sabrina likes being close to Seong because the other girl is so quiet and Sabrina hopes to bring her out of her shell a little more.

Ladies 2000 line GC / various idols / 18 / The 2000 line groupchat was thought up by Sabrina and a few other girls, but Sabrina was the one that created the groupchat. It consists of multiple ladies added in by various members and it's just a place to talk about everything. Information about what's going on in this company, which idol boys to avoid, somewhere to complain about age, scandals, making meet up plans, and whatever else there is to talk about. The groupchat motto is 'Anything said in the groupchat, stays in the groupchat (Unless stated otherwise!)'. 

Rose / Sabrina is definitely one of the more talkative members is anything. She believes she has a good relationship with all her members and genuinely tries her best to get along with everyone. She knows she's a little much to handle so she's grateful for everyone putting up with her.

Trainee Life.
🌺 Sabrina had gotten into JYP for her dance skills and she was immediately intimidated by all the other dancers there. She was new and she wasn't really good at anything besides dancing. She struggled her first month of training, not because adapting was hard, but simply because she had no clue what her vocal and rap instructors were actually telling her. They talked about using this and not that, using her diaphragm like she knew where that was. It was very difficult. She was just glad she had caught the eye of an older trainee and he had introduced her to another trainee her age who was quick to make friends and help her. Because of him she was able to improve quickly in the remaining months she was there. The only difficult thing was, she didn't like JYP. It just didn't give her the vibes she wanted. Then she encountered Dal entertainment, and tried out for that. She made it in and thats where she stayed. The aura the company had matched what she liked and she was able to train at her own pace. There her vocals steadily improved and same with her rap.

Scandals.

2019 / False / It was a scandal about Sabrina starting a group chat for talking bad about other idols, which was false. Sabrina had spoken up about how the groupchat was created for girl group idols to express their inner thoughts and complain about things without reserve and that if she needed to she would happily leak the groupchat contents to clear things up. Though she didn't have to because other girls who have been part of and were part of the group chat said that everyone was always respectful to each other. Dal media also sued the accuser for defamation after an investigation and won. The scandal was then swept under the rug

Also, Sabrina refers to her mom and step-dad as mom and dad wheres she referes to her biological dad and step-mother as father and mother. "mom and dad" and "father and mother" is the only difference between the two.
*Gahyeon wasn't an official rapper until 2020 which she was given a lead position, but she also hardly raps in most of their songs.
