What Do Readers Usually Look For on Asianfanfics?

I obviously assume a lot of those who read fanfictions here look for stories involving their favorite kpop idols, but does that mean majority of the readers here only read stories with popular idols?

I haven't been in touch with a lot of the newer idols, so I only write stories of idols that I know from 2009-2017.

If anyone out there can suggest idols that would garner attention in stories, let me know. If you all suggest just writing of idols that I know and admire, I can do that too.

And yes, I am asking because I do want readers and views for my stories. But isn't that the point of releasing content? Yes, the storylines will always be for me. But characters in stories do not have to be - those, I do not mind being for the readers.

Look at the pairings on the featured stories in the homepage. Right now seulrene (red velvet Seulgi and Irene) is super popular.

After years in this site I've deducted that quite lots of featured/popular fics are from a very strong fandom. So it does depends on the reputation of the group you're writing. But of course this don't always true. Sometimes even less/mid popular group fics get famous too but it depends lots on how the writer writes, the writers popularity/friends here, advertisement, proper mass promotion & the list goes on.
Writing about idols you love is good too in fact I strongly recommend this cos it fuels your passion. Why write thing you don't admire/less passionate about right? Just my humble opinion. I wish you luck on writing your story :)

Hi! I like this blog entry it's definitely something to think about. I would say just write about idols you admire and love - I wrote for groups Suju, TVXQ and SHINee because I loved them, but I also liked BTS in their early era of No More Dream but I barely started writing about them in 2018 I think? Yeah, I write and read for only idols I know about like for example although I like TXT, I don't read or write any fics involving them because I don't admire them enough unlike other people might.
I think people just make their stories more alive based on the idols they love because they know more about them, I guess? I don't know. This is a good blog post ❤️❤️❤️
