APPEARANCE Seolhwa is 168cm and 48kg. Her hair is currently brown that flows down just below her s, and her natural hair color is black. She is one of those people who can eat really well but still looks skinny. Her skin color is on the paler side, but will occasionally get tanned when she's in the sun for a long period of time. She has no visible scars or birthmarks, though had a couple of moles scattered throughout her body. She has a couple of stretch marks on her inner thighs, and doesn't care if anybody comments about it. She also have the two traditional earlobes piercings, along with a cartilage piercing on her left ear. Other than that, she looks exactly like her faceclaim.
STYLE Seolhwa doesn't like to do anything extravagant to her outfits, she likes to keep it simple. She likes to wear colors such as blue, purple, black, and white. » Growing up, Seolhwa has been a brilliant girl. She is very book-smart, and uses difficult words that most people don't know, she's almost like a walking dictionary. She always has a book in her hand, and would read it whenever she finds time to. As continued in the negative side, she likes other people to know how smart she is without being aware of it. She is also very imaginative, always coming up with ideas for thing, and isn't afraid to express them. She uses her imagination to express her feeling and get close to people, even though she is shy and reserved. Seolhwa is also passionate, when she has something set in her mind like a goal, she will not give up until she achieve that certain goal. She always strives to be the best that she can be. She is also very caring, always caring and looking out for other people, especially the younger ones. She listens to others carefully, and can tell when someone is upset, almost like telling people's auras, and can also empathize with them easily.
» Seolhwa being bad-tempered is obviously a problem, as she doesn't know how to take criticism as that well, but she's also working how to not be too sensitive of how other people view her. BACKGROUND Nam Seolhwa, born Shin Seungseol, was born on May 23rd, 2000 in Gunsan, North Jeolla, South Korea to her parents Shin Dongjin and Nam Eunsook. She has one older sister, Shin Seungji who is 6 years older than her.
Seolhwa's parents eventually got a divorce when she was in the sixth grade, where her and her sibling lived with their mother, while her father still having joint custody. Seolhwa was in martial arts and modern dance ever since she was in the second grade. There at modern dance, she had grown to love dance and music. But unfortunately, her father were not really into the whole entertainment industry, he wanted his kids to grow up well educated and cultured.
Seolhwa had always loved two things: history and music. With history, Seolhwa always is seen reading books about history, whether its non-fiction or fiction, she always wondered how the world came to be. She was really interested in ancient civilizations like Atlantis and Pompeii. And with music, she would often listen to it while reading books. Her favorite musicians was mainly classical musicians and Korean musicians, like Beethoven, Wolfgang, Boa, and Hyuna. But unfortunately, her parents were not really into the whole entertainment industry, they wanted to kids to grow up well educated and cultured.
Seolhwa always knew she wanted to a singing career. She uploaded singing covers on her YouTube channel since she was around 11. One day in 2013, a company by the name of SBS contacted her and asked her to audition for their show, K-Pop Star 4. It had turned out the her long term friend, Ryu Aehyun, submitted Seolhwa's video to the company without her knowing.
Anyways, Seolhwa passed the preliminary audition. With her mother, the two had temporarily moved to Seoul for the show. Seolhwa auditioned for the main audition, becoming an official contestant for K-Pop Star 4 in 2014. She finished in the top 6, getting eliminated in the third round. But, she sill signed onto JYP in mid-late 2014.
Seolhwa was then a contestant on Sixteen but once again got eliminated early in the season. She decided to leave JYP in mid 2018 and became an independent trainee for a short period of time until a man by the name of Lee Taejun contacts her, promising her to join a company called Sunbank Media, in which she will debut shortly. Seolhwa ultimately agreed to this proposition and joined this project.

NAM EUNSOOK They haven't talked much since Seolhwa out of the house to live in the dorm, but once in a while, she would check-up on her. She and Seolhwa is closer than Seolhwa's relationship with her father.
SHIN DONGJIN Seolhwa and her father do not interact as well as those father-daughter relationships. Her father kind of disowned her when she had wanted to become an idol, and wouldn't talk to her for months, but now, they are getting better at being there for each other.
SHIN SEUNGJI Seolhwa's older sister is really overprotective over her. Ever since Seolhwa was born, Seungji had been wanting to protect her form everything bad in the world, it's a sisterly instinct. By this, the two siblings are really close and can depend on each other.
RYU AEHYUN Aehyun is Seolhwa's best friend, whom helped her get to where is is today. Although they are BBF since diapers, they are really close. As for interactions, they act like any other friends do. Though, they are polar opposites, as Seolhwa is and extrovert while Aehyun is an introvert. Seolhwa would often try to break Aehyun shell despite being friends for the past 18 years.
JEON SOMI Ever since Sixteen, the two had become good friends. They were on of the main OTP of the show. When the show ended, they had still managed to find time for each other despite not training together very much.
TWICE Seolhwa had met Twice while on the show. She is closest to Mina, Jihyo, and Dahyun. But since Twice is busy, they haven't hung out as much as they did on the show, but they will get together once in a while whenever they have the time to.
LUNE Generally, Seolhwa gets along with all the members of Lune pretty well. Having knowing them for many years, Seolhwa loves them all, but of course there are some members that don’t get along with her, but overall she has a good relationship with all of the members of Lune, but is more close with Lune Blue.
STAGE NAME Sira, 시라. / Seolhwa chose Sira as a stage name because she didn’t feel like her legal name was good enough. It was also one of her nicknames by her mother, so she just stuck to it.

TRAINEE LIFE After being eliminated from K-Pop Star 4 in 2014, Seolhwa auditioned and was accepted into JYP. Similar to Mina, Seolhwa did not train long when she was one of the contestants for Sixteen. During the time on the show, her skills had really improve than before. After the show, Seolhwa became fairly known in the company, in which she was much more confident than before. Seolhwa was very insecure because she was a new trainee and it was her first trainee experience. Seolhwa wasn't sure if she would be a trainee if that wasn't really getting anywhere in terms of an income, and had thoughts of quitting almost every single day. Seolhwa was overshadowed by all the other trainees in JYP, which she didn't mind at all.
In terms of her skills, she was first a singer, but JYP made her switch to rap shortly after Sixteen and has been a rap trainee ever since. Seolhwa mainly focused on rapping before anything else, thus having weaknesses in singing. She envious of other rap trainees, creating their own songs and performing them. This resulted Seolhwa being insecure of her skills and almost quitting altogether. But because of her strong desire of not giving up, she continued being a trainee and continued working on her skills.
After training at JYP for 4 years, Seolhwa decided to leave the company as she felt as though she wasn’t going to debut under the company. Seolhwa then went onto training independently for a few months while going to Hanlim Multi Art School also.
At the same time, a representative at CJ E&M by the name of Lee Taejun started to scout out trainees for an upcoming project. While scouting for potential trainees, he came across the contestants of Sixteen who didn’t make it into Twice, and found a perfect candidate for the project; Nam Seolhwa.
Taejun became in contact with Seolhwa and promised her a contract with Sunbank Media and a fast debut. After being tired of JYP not promising her a debut, Seolhwa agreed to sign this contract with Taejun as she wanted to debut quickly.

There wasn’t that much public information as to Seolhwa's whereabouts, the fans just knew she left JYP. They were excited to learn that she would be finally debuting again, gaining some attraction for Lune's debut.
