you'd rarely see jing mad or annoyed. she's incredibly calm even in moments of stress or darkness (except for maybe when she's fangirling over something). one factor that is somewhat related to this is her positiveness. she's optimistic that every problem has a solution sometimes it's just takes longer than others. she's also an open-minded person. she tends or at least tries to understand the people around her. jing also tends to find comfort in art, as she is quite a creative person. she enjoys thinking of ideas and creating something with it.
it is also caused by the fact that she's extremely private. she's not one to talk about her life, especially when in a group. it's most probable that she'll open up if you ask her privately. though she's full of ideas, jing has this problem of being indecisive. she wants to do a lot of things but it is unclear want she wants to do. she's often to lazy to do things and when she does it, she does it inconsistently.
on the the 20th of february in the year 2000, jing was born in a hospital to a upper middle class family in taiwan. her father is a professor in a university while her mother is a banker. she is the second child out of four kids - her siblings are 23, 18 and 17 respectively.
ever since they were young, her parents have always know either one of their kids would have powers as her grandfather did too. he had super strength. by the age of six, it was quite obvious that jing had powers. in the most random places, jing would be seen holding a flower that has bloomed. back then, it wouldn't come as much as she still couldn't control her powers but it'd still pop out from time to time. plants would just bloom when she's elated, or thorns would appear when she's not feeling well.
you see, at the age of fourteen, she discovered the world of kpop and kdramas and she completely fell in love with it. so in love in fact, she decided to learn korean and by the time she went back to school, jing decided that she wanted to go to university in korea. her parents were very skeptical of the whole thing, but they didn't want to tie up jing just because she has powers. they wanted her to be as normal as possible, so they let her go in the condition that she has to go back every holiday with no exceptions.

zheng is the ever so kind president of her university's internation student society. she's very reliable and welcoming that jing felt like she has known zheng for a long time when in fact, she has just known her recently. due to the fact that they speak in the both language, jing feels like zheng is more of an older sister than a friend.
rintaro is the right hand man of zheng, serving as the society's vice president and her not so secret boyfriend. jing thought she's a chill person, but rintaro is so much calmer than she is. rarely talks which is why jing relates so much to him. they became close because of this.

it is perhaps one of the first weeks of winter and autumn has just gone by. the lis were in a field enjoying the peaceful and serene atmosphere of the landscape. but it was six-year old jing who was most excited. she ran around the field, feeling like she was free, but the most astonishing part was, whenever she touched the fading flowers, it would bloom again. she was unfazed, thinking it was normal thing to do. since she wasn't the first in her family to have powers, her parents were not surprised but was still stunned after seeing her use her powers for the first time. fortunately for jing, she had understanding parents who thought her to love herself and her powers so she had no difficulty accepting that she was different from other kids.

joshua is that type of person you'd go to when you need support. he is a charitable and altruistic guy, often putting the needs of others than his own. he's very patient and is able to endure difficulties with no complaints whatsoever. he is understanding of the people around him, or at least tries his best to. a trustworthy person, you can always expect joshua to have your back when people are against you.
at first joshua seems very shy and quiet, but he could actually get very flirty, though it's not really a bad thing. when he really like someone, he won't hesitate to pursue the girl and will tell her directly without wasting a second.
however, though it could be a good thing, he could be a little too selfless. he'd forget about himself just so he could help out others in their concerns. he doesn't admit it, but joshua gets envious easily actually. he wouldn't show it blatantly, but his sensitive would just give you the silent treatment.
t h e f i r s t - m e e t i n g .
joshua first saw jing at the church near the university that they went to. he was late for mass and sat at the last row of benches when he noticed someone unfamilliar in front of him. you see, the church was quite small so every churchgoers more or less know each other so he knew instantly that the lady in front of her was new.
he does tend to get a little cheesy sometimes, but he swears it was love at first sight when she turned around.
it'd be creepy if he had tried to talk to her, so he waited until the next week to sit on the same bench as her. after mass, he asks her if she was new around the area, but the mysterious jing mutters a simple 'yes' before walking away. dumbfounded but intrigued, joshua knew he liked her. and as if fate was in his side, he spots the new girl in the university's library, silently reading something.
in attempt to get closer to her, he approaches the table to ask her if he could share the table with her, reasoning that the library is full and there's no table left. in his defense, it is quite true so she had no choice but to share with him. despite being in the quiet library, joshua manages to flirt with her. or at least he tries to. he passes her notes that she just reads until she flat out tells him she doesn't understand korean, despite saying it in perfect korean.
this makes joshua chuckle, but he leaves her alone. he makes a mental note to study her native language, and mandarin is his wild guess.
joshua wanted to impress the girl, so he tells himself that he won't talk to her until he perfects mandarin. however, it turns out that jing had decided to join the university's internation student society
t h e d e v e l o p m e n t .
joshua was assigned to show the freshman li jing around, after all he has been in the society for four years now. you see, despite being ethnically korean, he was born in the states so he identifies more as an american. he had wanted to know more of his paren hence why he decided to study in the country. he had felt homesick at first, but this society had helped him a lot when he was a freshman.
to welcome her, joshua sets his feeling aside and makes sure jing (he finally manages to catch her name) feels welcome in the society just like how he feels like its his second home. the group consisted of friendly and understanding individuals who all felt the need to belong in the foreign country they were currently in so it didn't take long for jing to feel comfortable with her new friends, much to joshua's delight.
t h e i n t e r a c t i o n s .
with the help of the society, the quiet jing manages to enjoy her student life in the campus. much like the girls of the villa, she feels very comfortable being with them despite being quite distant at first. she feels most especially close to joshua who really helped her a lot to feel like she's a part of the group.
now that she considers him her friend, jing finally doesn't pretend like she doesn't speak korean to ignore him, they actually finally hang out. he sits on her table at the library, they go to church together, they even have lunch sometimes after mass. joshua enjoys her company so much he'd even accompany her to shinee or taemin's concerts or even watch any korean drama with despite not being a fan of any of those. but jing was also quite naive. she had thought that joshua was just really friendly. she didn't think much about it, so he finally told her.
despite knowing that she speaks perfect korean, probably even better than him, joshua confesses to her when he walked her home, in his broken mandarin.
t h e e n d i n g .
after the confession, the girls in the villa knew about joshua's urge to court jing to be his girlfriend as he would always sends flowers to the girl knowing she loves them. this not only sends jing's heart racing but the girls as well due to the korean-american's sweet gestures. despite all this, jing feels nervous about the future of her relationship with joshua, probably the first time she felt that way.
you see, she never really told anyone in the society that she had powers, especially not to joshua. despite being all optimistic all the time, she knew that it wouldn't end up well due to past experiences. you see, though very quiet and intimidating, jing still had some comfessions from boys in her school. it would never end up into a relationship as they end up knowing about her powers and they freak out. thankfully she manages to control it now that she's older, hence nobody but the girls know about.
but joshua's different... she hopes he is. (please decide the ending for them!)
