Just needed a place to rant

I just passed the Physician Licensure exam last September 2019 and started residency in the OB gyne department this March 2020. Sadly, the COVID 19 pandemic also launched itself in our country at around the same time. As a junior doctor, I was amongst the frontliners in our hospital, assessing patients under investigation and patients under monitoring as a triage officer. A week ago, I was exposed to a patient who later on turned out to be positive. That is when my problem all started. I always thought that discrimination only happened outside hospital walls. I never thought that my seniors, whom I held in the highest esteem, would talk behind my back and wish that I stayed away from them and from our shared quarters. I never thought that they would be the first ones to cast me judging looks whenever I so much as touch my face or let out the slightest cough. So here I am, in my room, alone and waiting for my swab results to turn out negative. Here I am praying that I didnt infect my seniors you don't give a flying fckk about me. Here I am hoping that time heals all the sickness away so that we can go back to our normal lives.
