dressed in all black and white, wears hoodie to school and wears the hood to cover his face as he sleeps during lunch break. sits at the back corner of the class, speaks to few and is a mystery to many. known to always rank within the top 3 in his class, isn't visibly active in class, yet always does well with his assignments and aces his exams. his name isn't as well known around school, unless his sister's name is attached to his name. he doesn't stand out in any social groups at school, does he even belong to one? he doesn't even fit to any tropes of high school groups, he's just there... he's the type of student to go to school and do what he's supposed to do, study.

노루noryun's pet name ever since he was a kid, of course as a child he and his twin sister had a hard time trying to pronounce their own names. hence why they would blabber each other's name. noryun's one being noru and his sister nahyun is naho. it is used only by their family member and noryun's really close friends, but mostly nahyun because they still call each other with their own respective nicknames. however, with the baby project he kind of refers himself as noru when talking to the baby, the reason being that the baby doesn't know how to pronounce his name.
도련님literally translates to young master, but ironically used. doryeon-nim is meant to be used as a play on his name noryun as it sounds alike. it is used appropriately by their household staffs, used by his family members (mostly nahyun) when he is acting up, used by chanhyun when he is being awfully clingy and used by his classmates as a code name when talking about him secretly. kind of a multi-purpose nickname.

noryun on the surface:
words such as intimidating, quiet and serious are words that will appear frequent when asked to describe noryun. his lack of social involvement makes it seem like he's a cold type of person who does not like to socialize with others, making him seeming like an intimidating person. others from his class would find him as a very quiet person, he spoke as needed and medium volume when public speaking. he's vocal when it comes to discussion, but not with small talks. not many knows about his personal life aside from him having a twin sister at a neighboring class. not many words about him circulate around school, mostly because not that many people cared about him, but also because his sister doesn't hesitate to confront anyone who spreads bad words and false information about her brother. people can only draw their own assumptions on what kind of person he is based on what they see and hear from his sister.

for people who are familiar on who noryun is, they would say that he is a rather shy boy who doesn't speak much, but he shows more through his act. he observes his surroundings and look after those who he cares about. he helps others in need and shows that he do care about others through his actions, rather than through words. one would say that he has strong wills to be a better version of himself. he strives to work hard and learn to do things on his own, instead of depending on others like he used to do. a hard-worker in hopes that he can do better in many things, to make up for the lack of capability from his dependent childhood self. one would also say that noryun listens well to others, he takes commands well and does as told. he doesn't like the idea of him disappointing others, which is why he tries to listen and do as people ask him to do. he likes feeling of being needed by others and is always in glee when someone thanks him for lending them a hand.

for those who knows him through out, they will know more than what others have seen. he is a reserved kid, as many also seen. he keeps his distance with the people who he is unfamiliar with and people that alerts him. he's a hard shell to crack and he refuses to crack until he feels secure and safe. he tends to withdraw himself from a lot of social situation, he can't keep up with small talks and is afraid to be seen as ignoring the other party. small number of people had knocked his shell bits by bits, small cracks starts to form but he doesn't know if he truly want to let it crack and have them know more about him. people close to him understands his fear of being hurt again, but it also frustrates them that he himself seems to not be able to let himself break free of his comfort zone. he's too stiff and awkward when thrown into situations and social surroundings that he isn't familiar with, it makes it seems like he himself is the one who refuses to be around new people. in addition he has a tendency to become a rather bossy and demanding individual. he has standards and plans of his own and when things doesn't go as he wants or as he plans, he would get very upset and also panics a lot. this in fact is one of the reasons why his classmates get the wrong idea on what kind of person he is, because he's very hard to work with in group assignments and he will really show how panicked he is when things don't go as he plans it.

he's just a person who wants to open up to others but really can't find his way into trusting others. no matter how often he interact or try to get to know others, he just can't find himself to open up to them. he doesn't like it either, it makes him feel kind of lonely at times that the people he can truly rely on is his parents, sister and chanhyun and he tends to feel like he has become a burden to them. the people that he can call "kinda" friends are mostly people he met from chanhyun's group of friends and nahyun's group of friends, and even with those people he can't have a casual conversation with ease without the presence of the other two. he's trying his best to change, he's really trying.

(01) background
hwang noryun was born to a proud family of "three generation doctors" and owners of the biggest hospital at byeonggwak, hwangguk hospital. the whole "three generation doctors" ordeal came from his mother's side, where his mother's grand father, his mother's father and her mother being the oldest of their respective family and all became doctors.
noryun was in fact, born 3 minutes behind his twin sister, making nahyun, his twin, the oldest between the two. it was nahyun who was pressured more as a child that she should be the "fourth generation" to become a doctor, instead of noryun, because he is the youngest.
their father was also a doctor, but the only doctor within the family. his family had only built the hospital and managed it through generations, however none of them were doctors until their father. though, he would love for both of the twins to become doctors as well, he really didn't push his agenda that much because it's enough to see one child being stressed over their studies.
growing up, noryun was very babied by his grand parents. he was fed with everything he wanted in his wish list. he probably loved them more because they gave him more attention towards him rather than their parents who (seems) to focus more on his sister. he was a very spoiled and dependent kid who couldn't stand up for himself or do anything on his own because everything was handed to him.
his parents did oppose his grand parents' treatment towards him, but they couldn't do much about it because noryun ended up being very attached to them. he would stay over at his grand parents' house very often and would play around with the kids from that neighborhood. there he actually met a kind kid who wanted to be friends with him, chanhyun, who ended up being his friend that he is very attached to.
during his earlier school days, with him being a soft, weak and spoiled little boy, he was one of his peers' favorite person to pick up on. he didn't have that many friends, so no one stood up for him aside from his twin and his one friend. as it became a constant thing in his daily life, he grew fear of social involment. he tries to act tough so that one would bother him, but he is always caught off guard and thus is always left feeling hurt over and over again.
as he grows older, he chose to be more secluded towards his surroundings. there is always a gut that tells him he wants to be friends with so and so, but he wary the people around him a lot, that it's hard for him to open up to others. he know he had changed a lot, slowly, from how he used to act as a child, but he fears that maybe the habits he still possess was the one that made him got bullied as a child? or maybe that people really don't like him that much as a person?
he just worries that he might get hurt like he did in the past, or maybe even worst hurt others. he just wants to be friends and be honest with people, but it's hard for him to do so with his past keeps reminding him how painful it was to be himself to others.
(02) life style
lives in a lavish house with his parents and sister, along with multiple household staffs. on his daily weekdays school days, he wakes up as one of the earliest person to be awake at their household at 5 a.m. and waters his plants or tend them. he then studies a bit for assignments, homeworks or just have a little read if he'd like to. everything else is the same as any other students of his age: have breakfast, takes a brief shower, and heads off to school. he prefers to go by foot to school, because he kinda needs the exercise and he can stop by to convenient store to buy snacks to store in his room for later on.
his time at school is also spent in a mediocre way, he pays attention in class, goes to lunch (and sometimes work on homesworks during lunch if he needs to), then attend class again and then goes to cram school after school on certain days. he isn't active in any organizations or clubs or anything in school, so he doesn't really stay after school that much. aside from the time when chanhyun was still in school and he would tag along with him to his taekwondo practices.
going home, he would also walk on foot or take the bus, either way he doesn't go with the driver his family has. even after arriving home all he does is shower, have dinner, studies or do other assignments, before falling asleep at 10-ish or as late as 11-ish.

his weekends are mostly filled with him, tending his mini garden or planting new flowers. however, on few occasions he would go out to places with chanhyun and nahyun (because as nahyun puts it in words they are a "gang") and just hangs out a lot with them.

he barely ever saves anyone's number, not even for assignments. he doesn't really see the point in saving people's number, especially when they use kkt and he can clearly see who is messaging him. the only numbers he save is his family's (mostly his core family members like his parents and his sister and a few closer relatives), chanhyun's, and some few important household staffs' number.

he doesn't talk about it that much, but he is a huge huge marvel nerd. he loves to read the comics and the movie franchise as well. he likes to collect merch related to the franchise, be it official or fan made. action figures especially, he even has a display for his figure collections in his room that he doesn't allow anyone else but him to touch them.

only has one instagram account, personal one and isn't very active in it. most of his posts just revolves around his family and mostly chanhyun, sometimes posts about himself too if he feels like. his followers are around 300-ish people, in which a large portion of that followers came from other's instagram account. mostly gaining more followers after appearing on chanhyun's ig and nahyun's ig.

he likes to plant flowers, yes. it started off when he was 11 and wanted to give his mom a meaningful mother's day gift, so he asked their household's gardener to help teach him how to plant a flower. turns out he actually liked it and became a hobby of his. he has his own section at their house garden for his own flowers, in which he tries to take care himself (though, when he's very busy with school he'd have their gardener tend his flowers). annually, he gives the flowers as birthday gifts to his relatives, anniversary gifts for his parents and other married relatives, mother's day gift for his mother and of course for his beloved chanhyun hyung as well. daisy is his favorite flower, but he tries to have a variety of flowers in his mini garden.

not a fan of k-pop or idols that much, but since nahyun and chanhyun are both avid k-pop stans and they made him listen (stream) their fave's songs, he got to admit some of them are actually his style. he's probably most into exo, because that's all nahyun ever blasts around the house.

has a silver bracelet that he always wears because it was given by chanhyun. kinda a couple bracelet, but chanhyun won't put it that way because noryun refuses to wear couple stuffs (because it draws a lot of attention, not because he hates it, he actually really wants to but kinda don't,,, it's confusing) and that is probably the only couple stuff they have.

yes, he is the type of student to go on youtube and search up a 10 hours lo-fi hip hop song compilation loop videos when he is studying or doing his assignments, he kinda prefers having some bgm while he does his assignment rather than hearing his clock ticks for hours.

nahyun and noryun are actually the only grand children from both maternal and paternal grand parents that are at a teen age, their cousins from their father's side are either in their late twenties or early thirties and their cousins from their mother's side are either pre-teens or toddlers. so most of the times, they would be asked to "look after" their younger cousins and their older cousins' babies, may it be during family events or during summer breaks. so noryun would say that he has some experience in baby sitting.

the type to press flowers in books and then laminate them to make decorations out of them. usually used as holiday cards and birthday cards for his relatives. also, he uses a clear phone case and keeps one of his laminated pressed flowers on the case (along with a polaroid of him with both chanhyun and nahyun).

kinds of use twitter also, but is used mostly for news updates about the latest movies or other related news. he kinds of use it also to find people to discuss the latest marvel movies with, but he doesn't stay on the bird app that often. also used as an alternative messaging app by nahyun instead of kkt, because she's on that bird app 24/7 and couldn't be bothered to switch app to text him, so she just dms him through twitter.

chanhyun is a vibrant and loud personality, who is eager to be friends with many, a social butterfly and is active in a lot of social groups. he is an alumnus at geumbaekwon private and was the hwang twins' childhood friend, who is now currently noryun's boyfriend.
noryun is very very attached to chanhyun as he was the only person, aside from nahyun, that actually helped him and stood up for him when he was younger. they eventually grew a strong friendship and as they grow older noryun realizes that his feelings towards the older boy may have been more than just his appreciation for helping him all this time, but perhaps also admiration... and not only a platonic admiration.
they started dating during the semester break between his first year and second year. noryun's kind of a shy boy that confessed with a whisper and one of his flowers, chanhyun found him very adorable. they had known each other for a long time, which kind of made their whole dating thing sound like a title, because they still hangs out like they used to do.
chanhyun knows noryun really well to know that the younger boy doesn't like pda, but knows that he likes hugs because that makes him feel secure and he likes having his hand held out of the blues because it makes him feel like he is remembered. which is why they tend to hang out in private (with nahyun as well, because she's part of the "gang" as she likes to describe) rather than going out in public.
noryun is very clingy towards chanhyun, may it be physical or just tags along him all the time. he tags on to chanhyun a lot when he was still in school, he would follow him a lot during lunch break, though he knows boundaries and won't bother him if he says he has things he needs to do. noryun also did tag along during taekwondo practices, well he just sits and watch, but still he waited for him so they can walk home together. however, now with chanhyun already starting his first year in college, it's kind of hard for him to see him that often, but he would pop by his place because he needs mental support with this whole baby assignment thing.
chanhyun could be described as noryun's emotional support boy. he'd sent daily positive messgaes to him to start off his day because he knows that that always cheers him up. he'd call noryun asap once he receives infos that he was feeling down that day, or if he's not busy he would come over and cheer him up in person.
he would say he'd fight anyone who dares hurt noryun, but he knows that that's nahyun's job not his. showing love and affection that noryun deserves is his part (´∩｡• ᵕ •｡∩`) ♡

hwang nahyun is an out spoken and bold individual, who is very active in organizations within school, making her name well known within geum baek won priv. people would say that noryun and nahyun are nothing alike, but they do know that they have a good relationship.
nahyun was born 3 minutes ahead of him, making her the older sibling. and she simply does act like the older sibling between the two of them. of course, they used to fight a lot when they were younger and now they tend to fight less, because they are two mature soon-to-be young adults. they simply have this kind of love-hate "feud" teasing each other type of brother sister relation going on, but they know that it's nothing serious and there's no need to feel offended.
nahyun really looks ofter him, especially when it comes to his social life. during their earlier school days, she would be the one who constantly shoves him to people she thinks could be his potential friends. though after the incident she restrain herself from doing so and instead she chose to let him choose his own friends as she keeps an eye on the people she doesn't trust around him.
she doesn't really meddle with his love life that much because well, she knows chanhyun and really trust him. if anything, nahyun wants to be their third wheel just to see noryun being flustered around chanhyun. oh she would love that so much, but alas she is never invited to any of their dates, but she is always welcomed to stay when they're just hanging out tho.
also she's ready to fight anyone who dares to hurt his brother (again), she'd call up chanhyun to fight for noryun with her. people who dares hurt her brother will have to be ready to square up (งಠ_ಠ)ง

eunsong is his friend, in a "sort of" kind of way. he got to know him through chanhyun. he was a part of the taekwondo team during his time at geumbaekwon along with eunsong. as noryun is a very clingy kid towards chanhyun, he tags along him very often and even during the taekwondo team's practice.
noryun kinda already has a gist on what kind of person eunsong is, he sees him around school and he has heard whispers about him. of course, he didn't leave a good impression to him (as if he himself ever gives a good impression to others). so he was pleasantly surprised to see the different attitude eunsong exhibits when he's with the taekwondo kids. he's not as bad as he heard.
though they don't interact that much outside of the taekwondo circle, or even without chanhyun around (especially now when he has already graduated). he still "greets" him with a nod when he sees him around school, without uttering a word at all. though, he still sees him often when chanhyun decides to meet up with his former taekwondo buddies and noryun being himself, will tag along as well.

noryun doesn't have any teachers that he despise or a teacher that he likes, he tries to be neutral with his opinion towards them because well, they're just doing their job here, nothing to take too personal.
he has always been neutral towards miss jung, especially that she's the youngest teacher. yeah, she's fun and cool and all because she's the youngest, but he's kinda okay with her.
he doesn't really talk to teachers after class that much, so she probably doesn't remember him that much as well.
however, he's the type to always turn in his assignment on time and does well on his project, so if she were to have an impression on him, it would more likely be a positive one.
project plans!!
noryun really like kids and babies, he really does. he had helped his relatives baby sit their toddlers or kids of pre-teen age. however, he is not confident in doing the baby project.
first, he doesn't like it when he is forced to baby sit. especially when he has to look after kids that he doesn't know of.
second, he doesn't like group assignment, it's a hassle and he does not want his grades to be split with someone else.
third, he has a chance to work with a complete stranger. he has a hard time trying to do assignments with his classmates, moreover now with a chance of working with someone outside of his class that he has never talked to before.
however, on to the actual babies, he would literally love to take care of them. he wants to take lots of pictures of the cute being and just gives them the attention they deserve. he can change diapers, he kinda knows how to wash a baby, and he likes playing with babies. he knows he can do it... alone... but if it's a paired assignment, he's not so sure about that.
