bright, orange hair and striking, green eyes with a more petite frame growing generous curves in conjunction with her height, aina hanae is a cute girl who is slowly becoming a head-turner even amongst the less-than-mature boys of the academy. she's still more on the short and thin side, but uses it to her advantage to let guards down.

from top to bottom, hair pulled into a braid with tiny spikes woven in (to prevent grabbing). sleeveless, high neck, halter top of muted green to match both her eyes and the foliage. black, fingerless gloves to her upper arm as protection against her own blades. looser, dark grey jacket to blend in with shadows and protect against cold. headband (when she earns it) around her left arm, cloth the same green as her top. standard pants closer to brown and tighter on her legs to prevent grabs. large weapons pouch on her waist across her back (like sakura). bandages wrapped on her right leg for fast and dirty first aid along with the usual holster. standard shoes in black.

 

clothes of fine cloth and shoes of expensive leathers. jewelry tasteful but not overbearing. colors of whites, browns, and tans for her hair or whites, greens, and pastels for her eyes. skirts and dresses to increase underestimation and highlight her femininity. hair up in intricate braids for business meetings and shows of power but left down when relaxing.

history: used to be hunter-gatherer ninjas during warring states period who turned into roaming merchants. big oral tradition to pass down knowledge. prominently earth and water releases (as primary vs secondary) equal = plant release (not common, but occurred often enough that they do have their own arsenal of jutsu).

clan values, land, etc: taught from very young to always respect / love the land because it gave them everything to survive (from when they were travelers) and continues to do so. big on self-survival. over half of the clan land is forest and they're taught how to do a bunch of stuff. members of clan all share same green eyes that change shades (most commonly to yellow or gold) in different lights. sees the plant release as a blessing from the land. some of the clan are merchants, some ninja, some both. generally ninjutsu specialists - protected own while traveling (historically). merchants known for medicine??? (herbs and stuff because the village???) ooo. maybe furniture. work with the hashirama tree wood to carve stuff. (water jutsu to prevent wood from drying / over moisturizing???) ooo. no. pottery. earth and water jutsu combined to make own clay and kilns and stuff. yes. pottery sounds good.

plant releases: jutsus = mostly for tracking (marking people / places or seeing disturbances in local foliage, for example) and for camouflage) but also a little healing (but super flashy and taxing so not good for outside konoha - like a last resort because powerful?). plant release child = automatically next clan head + renamed + given different title as daughter / son of nature vs everyone else's child of the land. as a result, anyone with plant release is very revered and, often, forced to stay on clan land to protect it after becoming chuunin / jounin. (so train, but not be a village ninja - just a clan ninja.)

stereotypes: reliable, observant, blunt, no-nonsense (think inuzukas as merchants - don't haggle, don't go around, just a take it or leave it offer)

aina specifically: wants to "beat" boruto's class because wants to prove she can take care of herself??? uncertain. must develop more. personal goal was to be an anbu though that specialized in hunting down bounties / runaway nin - hunter-nin!!! - and eventual anbu captain who masqueraded as an ok nakano ninja (chuunin probably)

0: birth. 3. death of parents (who were hunter-nin anbu)? potentially adopted by clan head? (so close to maybe-takumi?) 7. to academy! 10. discover plant release so taken out of academy for a year? two? to go over duties and stuff. maybe wait for her cousin? to be her "guard" in school. 11 / 12. returned to academy. 13. graduation!
