nothing too crazy, doesn't have that much friends but isn't an antisocial either, a lot feel intimidated by her skills and looks, but it's a competition anyway. introduced as an sm rookie sometime around 2014. felt pressured to live up to the trainers's expectation of her, and was almost given the centre position. but didn't, since haneul's progress and charm are more attractive than hers. didn't feel bad at all, relieved even. she's good at following a choreography, but not at making one. hard times were there, but never really consider quitting just because she's tired.

HER STORY
sohee became a inkigayo mc on february 2018, alongside svt' mingyu and song kang. since mingyu and sohee already knew each other from the group chat, there were less to none awkward moment, knowing that mingyu is a social butterfly afterall. so the ship was built by their fans from the start they started talking to each other publicly.
the group went out to hang out, and from 15 members, there were only 7 that could come, eunwoo, mingyu, bambam, yugyeom, yuju, jihyo, and sohee. the others were either outside the country, preparing a comeback, or just plain lazy.
while hanging out together, they played rock paper scissor to decided who'd get the snacks, and the losers were sohee, mingyu, and yuju. yuju went to the bathroom near the store, so they waited out for her. at one point sohee was telling mingyu that she had to leave inkigayo because she'll get busier after her next comeback, and the company decided that she has to quit. mingyu for it, because he knew it sadden her so he tried to lighten up the mood. and those moments were the perfect moments for dispatch to put into frame.
but the tabloid didn't post the pictures right away, they were waiting for the right moment. they just made a blind item about mingyu and sohee, so the fans would guess that it's them. so after the announcement of sohee stepping down from inkigayo, they planned on publishing the story and to come up with a story that she had to leave because sm knew about them and decided that sohee had to quit.
after the story was published, all hell broke loose. sm realized that at least half of the story was fake, since they stated that the reason she left inkigayo was because of sm knowing them dating. but sm's skeptic about it, since there were no manipulation on the photos taken. the fans were splitted, quarter of them said they saw it coming since sohee and mingyu were so close during inkigayo, the other quarter hated her from ruining mingyu's career with a scandal, and half of them cursed her for ruining statice' comeback, and statice altogether. jaehyun's not happy either, seeing his girlfriend being involved in a dating scandal that wasn't with him, and with proof too.
the scandal strained a lot of relationship, sohee and jaehyun, sohee and sm, sohee and mingyu, mingyu and jaehyun, and even sohee with the 97liners. even after sm and pledis gave their statements of denying the rumor, the public was not convinced. the others that went to hang out that day couldn't post the photos they took together, because their company doesn't want them to get involved. sohee ultimately got sick with a really high fever due to very low immune count and got hospitalized for a week, so she couldn't do the first two weeks promotion of statice's comeback.
but after a month, people just let it go and accepted what they wanted to believe. there were some supporting fans that constantly cheering her up during the scandal. and her first comeback stage a lot of people gave her the loudest cheer to sohee wouldn't hear anything but their supporting cheers.

geum sohee was born to two whole loving parents, geum sungrok and cho younhee, an older brother by six years, geum sihoo, and older sister by four years, geum jinsoo. her father is a ceo of cymechs inc, and her mother owns a clothing line and won second runner up of miss korea 1988, so you could say that they're really comfortable (and attractive too). but they're not pushy at all, let their kids decide what they wanted to do with their own lives. that's why she did taekwondo since she was in elementary school, but still love to sing anyway. she grew up in a very warm family, even when her father's not always around to celebrate her birthday or any holiday due to his busy and workaholic nature. but she led a very normal life, although somewhat rich, sohee never really misuse her money to do anything dumb, or be arrogant just because she has money. she's also known as the beauty of itaewon, and many felt intimidated by her beauty, and her taekwondo skill. she also found a lot of her 'friends' turned out to just using her for her money and fame, not really friends with her because they wanted to. one of the reasons why she did taekwondo is to make sure people's perception of her is not just 'the pretty one', but actually acknowledge for her skill, since she's not really great with academics.

her singing talent came from her mother, so she found it early on, when she was nine years old. by twelve, sohee did several singing competitions from her school, or performed in front of her whole school during festivals. she knew that music might be the path, but not sure what it would led her to in the future. she knew how to play guitar and piano. she learnt guitar by herself, and her mother is the one who taught her to play the piano. sohee also writes a lot, poems, what she's feeling, or even quotes, in case she wants to make music on her own. after performing for her school festival, she was scouted by sm so she did an audition with her singing love by keyshia cole and showing some of her taekwondo moves, and she got in.

"it was february when i first met you, and february became my favorite month"
it was her first day of training. she's still clueless and even felt awkward standing outside the practice room alone. she saw jaehyun practicing his dance moves alongside taeyong and johnny, and was starstruck with his dedication. she didn't noticed that jaehyun had turned his back, and their eyes met. they bowed their heads a little in unison and sohee went to the toilet in embarrassment.
jaehyun noticed sohee walking away in fast-paced steps, and tried his best to hide his smile before johnny and taeyong noticed. but it was too late, johnny did noticed, and with no intention to stop.
at the end of the day, jaehyun pluck up his courage to actually introduced himself to sohee, and only god and jaehyun knew how red her face looked when he asked her for her contact. "to invite you to the 97liners group," he said, but both of them knew it wasn't just that.
"but november arrived, you quietly intertwine our fingers as the dawn arrive. guess that november's better."
sohee and jaehyun interacted with each other quite a lot, by texts or when they were practicing in the same studio. they were too obvious, not only to the trainees but the trainers too, which they implied on a lot of times of how they should be thinking about trainings and set their goal to debut, not playing around mindlessly.
they were close as friends with intentions of being more. the occasional flirting and protectiveness towards each other, and how defensive they get when people said that they're too obvious, "am not!! we're just friends!!", or when johnny teasingly flirted with her to make jaehyun jealous, "hey sohee, do you want to grab some coffee with me?" in which jaehyun would reply, "i'll go with you too."
and on november 2015, after their practice, the trainees were going out to a chinese restaurant near the building. after it ended, jaehyun asked sohee to stayed back and walk with him for awhile. after chatting and walking ceaselessly, they ended up arriving to the dorms. jaehyun bravely asked her to be his girlfriend, and sohee couldn't and wouldn't say no. they had their first kiss right in front of the dorm's building, although not that romantic, they were both glad. they are glad.

until the scandal happened. jaehyun always knew sohee and mingyu were close, and he was also sure that the scandal isn't true, but it still left him restless. he's restless because what if sohee felt more comfortable with mingyu since she spent a lot of time with him during shows? and what if the relationship isn't working anymore? and mostly, he's restless on how sohee would have to face this by herself. so jaehyun tried to push his bad thoughts away and focus on her, since he has a week off after his schedule in japan. he was heartbroken when sohee's hospitalized, since he couldn't be there for long because the fans were outside the hospital. after she got out, sohee went to her home to be with her family, and jaehyun couldn't see her for almost two weeks.
it was sohee's intention, she couldn't help but to cry and feel guilty when she saw jaehyun's face, so she went to her home instead to be with her family instead of alone in her apartment or the dorm. sohee's phone was held by her mom so that she can't see the news about the scandal, which means she also couldn't contact jaehyun. she contacted him after going back to the dorm and start the promotion of statice's comeback. they met on her apartment to talk privately, with him starting the conversation, "these past few days without you had me thinking a lot," sohee's face fell and she was sure that this is the end of their relationship. "thinking of how i don't want to lose you again, not anymore, not ever." sohee couldn't help but to cry, a mix of sadness that this had to happen and gladness that he's not going anywhere. so she replied with a grateful sigh she had been holding, "i don't want to lose you too. not anymore, not ever."
