as members of her friends' band, minji is fond of the active members of super junior. although there are a few that she isn't close with (sungmin, yesung, and siwon, of the active ones), she absorbs everything she can learn from them and considers them friends.
she isn't close to sungmin due to his sudden departure from the group because of his marriage. they had hung out a couple times previously, in all the years that they had officially knew each other, but they were just never that close.
Yesung has a personality that Minji has yet learned to figure out how to crack. most of the time, she lets him be, figuring that their age difference was too much to bridge.
although he is actually very sweet and kind, minji never felt too comfortable around siwon, to no fault of his own. she just never figured out how to engage him in conversation and most of their interactions fell flat.
she feels particularly fond of leeteuk, who always shown her kindness, and shindong, who always knew how to make her laugh.
- zhoumi (33) —
not a stranger to aversity and hardship, zhoumi is the image of strength, in minji's eyes. having had watched his experience in the industry and knowing the man in real life, minji finds comfort in him. she considers him a great, dear friend and would do anything for him. Likewise, zhoumi loves her like a little sister and often jokes that he has adopted her as his sibling, in everything but papers. despite their ten years age differance, these two get along swimmingly. they enjoy speaking silly "foreigner"-korean to each other, not having to be worried about being correct. they love visiting all the tourist sites, even though they have been living in seoul/korea for at least a decade (or at least two decades, in zhoumi's case). they like to shop together and are each other's bad influence.
- HENRY LAU (29) —
HENRY AND MINJI FIRST MET IN A KOREAN CLASS AT THE COMPANY. HENRY'S KOREAN WAS FAR BETTER THAN MINJI'S AT THE TIME, BUT HE WAS PATIENT WITH HER AND LET HER STUMBLE IN KOREAN SO SHE COULD PRACTICE EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD A COMMON LANGUAGE THAT SHE WAS SOMEWHAT BETTER AT.
BECAUSE THEIR RELATIONSHIP GOES FAR BACK, EVEN IF THEY DON'T HAVE TOO MUCH IN COMMON (WHICH THEY DON'T, REALLY) THEY GOT ALONG WELL. SO, WHEN IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT HENRY WAS TO LEAVE SM FOR OPPORTUNITIES ELSEWHERE, MINJI WAS HEARTBROKEN. SHE WAS HAPPY HE WAS DOING WHAT IS BEST FOR HIMSELF AND HIS OWN INTERESTS, SHE MISSES HER FRIEND.

amber and minji first met in language classes at the company. they studied and practiced their korean together and quickly developed a friendship. for a short while, they had been bandmates as minji was in the original lineup for f(x). now, with amber's absence from the company, minji feels a little lonely without her friend. but they keep in touch, sending each other their greetings over text.

BEFORE HE LEFT THE COMPANY FOR GREENER PASTURES IN CHINA, TAO AND MINJI WERE PRETTY GOOD FRIENDS. they bonded over their unfamiliarity over the culture they found themselves in and spent their free time exploring seoul together when they could. suddenly, their friendship suffered when rumors began to spread that they were dating. both tao and the company denied it, tao going so far as to say they were no longer seeing each other. he apologized to her for the bluntness of his comment but explained that he felt that anything less wouldn't have been taken seriously by fans. despite understanding the reasoning, minji felt hurt by the comments. she tried to get over it and continue their friendship in the shadows like he wanted, but found it difficult. in the end, their friendship wilted. now, their contact is few and very far between.

what made you want to become an idol?
WHAT LITTLE GIRL DOESN'T WANT TO SPEND HER LIFE SINGING ON STAGE AND PLAYING DRESS UP? ITS BEEN MY DREAM TO STAND ON A STAGE AND SING FOR PEOPLE WHO CAME TO HEAR ME. who is your biggest inspiration?
MY FRIENDS IN BLUEMOON, OF COURSE! THEY HAVE ALL WORKED SO HARD AND SOME OF THEM ARE SO YOUNG, I AM SO PROUD OF THEM AND THEY INSPIRE ME TO DO MY BEST EVERY DAY TOO, EVEN IF I FEEL DEAD ON MY FEET.
THERE IS ALSO MY FRIENDS IN THE COMPANY, OTHER TRAINEES AND IDOLS. WE HAVE GONE THROUGH SO MUCH TOGETHER AND THEIR PERSEVERANCE IN THE FACE OF HARDSHIP REMINDS ME THAT I CAN KEEP GOING TOO.
