As a disclaimer, I will not be listing any roleplays that condone this behaviour and I will simply do not encourage anyone else to exploit these roleplays. If you want to do that, go do it in your own post not in my comment section, please. This is also a brand new account just for roleplay applications because I don't want these roleplays to go after me for spilling the truth but anyways.

Who in the right mind think it's okay to look at a controversial celebrity who has committed crimes and say, "Oh I think I'll roleplay as them."

Here's the story:

I joined this certain roleplay just for fun and see what it's like. You know, I'm a curious little creature who wants to explore. Right. Well, I joined as an underrated female ig user and so I didn't bother looking at the upper masterlist because... why? I only wanted to see if my girl was free. So I applied and joined the roleplay and within 3 seconds of announcing my arrival, a Lee Jonghyun roleplayer added me. Here I'm thinking it's some late April fools joke but no. It's a legit character in this roleplay and I immediately felt so sick. I actually left almost 10 minutes later because I am sincerely disgusted. It's my fault for not looking through the masterlist to see if anyone is there, but that never comes to mind? I'm joining roleplays for myself I don't care who else is there.

Not only is someone insane enough to roleplay a disgusting person who has disrespected women and comitted crimes, but for admins to allow this to happen and let them join the roleplay. Oh my god.

I've discussed this with some of my friends and they all think it's messed up as well. One of them mentioned a different roleplay that has controversial faceclaims said (not an accurate quote), "IC and OOC are different." That's dumb. That's so dumb. That's literally the same as someone roleplaying as someone who has passed away. It's so disrespectful and so wrong in so many ways.

Please don't be that roleplay that accepts anyone just because you're open and accepting. No. If you're losing members of your roleplay, accepting a controversial faceclaim will make you lose more members. I'm not here to talk about bad admins, I'm talking about people who think it's okay to roleplay as someone like that and admins who allow that to happen.

I'm so surprised that roleplay did that! That's disgusting and terrible. The rp I'm in banned the idols who were involved with the scandal as soon as it came out. Same with any idols who specifically asked not to be roleplayed or those who have passed away. I feel like this should be common sense????

tea -- i mean it's been a while since i last roleplayed (i think it was 2017 when i last did), so, i didn't know how the whole roleplaying shabang is right now since the roleplaying scene evolves a LOT. but i really do think that it's messed up for someone to do that! i mean -- i'm uncomfortable with people roleplaying married faceclaims if they're pursuing for love interests in the roleplay since it's disrespectful towards the original faceclaim since well, you're supposed to be in character when you're roleplaying but imagine roleplaying someone who disrespects a woman??? like so you're gonna roleplay as a ert criminal?

uhhh... something doesn't make SENSE.
