Soyul is the epitome of a mature lady. Even as a kid she acted mature beyond her years. Everyone always knew her as being the good kid amongst her peers. She used to be a real people pleaser until she got a little older and chose to be more vested in her own interests. But she is still a reponsible kid who tolerates only a little bit of dumbness before she is grabbing someone by the ear to scold them. Soyul really holds herself as a lady: she is polite and minds her manners.She's really good at greeting others and making them feel included as it is rude to let them feel otherwise. She isn't prone to mkaing harsh judgements or losing her temper. She views things and thinks about them carefully before acting as that means whatever she does is probably the most correct response.Trust and know that if you give a task to Soyul she will make sure it's done to the best of her ability. She is an excellent person to go to and ask for advice since she genuinely listens and tries to advise the best she can.

She sometimes minds her manners a little too much though. She thinks about things so clearly thst she can be a little bit rigid in her decisions. She's right, you're wrong, shut up. Soyul can be really bossy and assertive when she wants to make her point known. Once she thinks she'd right it's really hard to make her concede otherwise. It's one of the reasons why she comes off as bossy. She's stil la kid at times and just a little bit obstinate. If she's not allowed to be a mature adult, she will be a determined brat sometimes.

Soyul is also more reserved in her reactions and expressions. Which is odd because secretly she is quite creative and little bit of a romantic. She's in love with the idea of romantic love. Not for herself even. She would like to see it unfold in front of her. She can be quite the daydreamer and can be caught just staring off into space to think about things that could be. She won;t admit she has dreams of romantic destinations or being loved by people for her artwork and comics. She loves to draw and illustrate the thingds around her, adding artistic flairs to it. She doesn't brag about what she does either, so it's easy to overlook how dreamy sh can be. And if you do catch her or manage to embarass her or prove her wrong. Soyul is really bad at hiding her embarassment.

background Soyul's parents never approved of their daughter's artistic pursuits. Ever since she was a child, Soyul loved to draw. She still loves to draw. But her parents only wanted her to study. She needed to be a doctor or a lawyer. Ever the diligent daughter, she did her her best. She did very well in academics. She's always done what she can to make her parents happy and proud. Even if it meant not choosing to do all the art classes or clubs and doing academic clubs instead.

Her family was always poorer than most, so they pushed her so she could have a good life. They also expected her to find a nice man to marry and take care of her if she couldn't make money herself. But Soyul never wanted that. She wants to pursue her own path as an artist. She doesn't need or want what others thinks she should have. Can't she be happy existing without worrying about being the highest earning potential? 

Her parents didn't think so. When she graduated high school, she told them she wanted to try and be an artist for manhwa's or online comics. Or go to an arts university. But they were not happy. They argued a lot over the next month, her parents throwing university applications to places she didn't want all the time. Against her nature, Soyul decided she didn't want it anymore. Pushing away being a good daugfhter she moved out on her own. Her parens refused to help her get into an art school. She moves in with her friend Dohee, and Dohee's parents are very nice and let her work at their cafe part time to stay on her feet.

She honestly likes working for them, but feels bad about them helping her. So she goes out to find a new place to work and that's how she wanders into MP! Gaming Cafe. She has no idea what kind of cafe they are, but if they need a barista or person to just cashier, she's happy to be there.

Dohee really wants her parents to understand her and that she doesn't want or need the life they want for her. She'd be happy making latte art and working on an online webtoon if she could. Really. MP! just feels a little less conventional to her. And Soyul loves that about the place. If she has to learn some gaming to stay there, she'll do it. Dohee has spent her life trying to please her parents, so now she wants to please herself even if that goes against her dutiful nature. She'll prove to them that she is capable of doing this.

✩ Soyul knows nothing about gaming. She can sometimes do well on puzzle games but she's clueless about most others.

✩ She is one of the most technilogically bad people you will ever meet unless it's dealing with barista tools.

She can trust Soyul to run the place carefully and responsibly without extra supervision even if she's only a teenager. Jikyung can actually get a good reaction out of Soyul by teasing her and making her flustered. Soyul has a girl crush on Jikyung.

✩ Despite being younger than him Soyul does boss around Minjin once she's more comfortable in the cafe. Jikyung approves. And no, she totally doesn't have a puppy crush on Minjin. That's a lie. She does.

✩ Soyul is prone to having lots of crushes on all sorts of people she thinks are cute. She'll sometimes daydream about them like a silly girl before smacking herself and getting back to work. 

✩ She has two drafts of a manhwa she's been working on about robots and love. They're very cheesy and she loves them.

✩ Her normal routine if she's not working is to find a location to drink a coffee and sketch on her drawing pad. She just comes to MP! just to sit and draw even when she's off. If she has time, she's reading other manhwa and catching up on online comics and Webtoons. She even likes western comics and reads a lot of Marvel.

Absolutely Soyul's best friend. They have this big plan to run her cat cafe one day and display all of Soyul's artwork. But right now, Soyul works/trains at a local high end cafe owned by her parents where she is learning to cook and run a business. She is also Soyul's roommate after she left home. While Soyul is modest, Dohee is impossibly confident. On her days off, if she's not going out on a date with a very handsome man, she is spending time at  MP! Gaming Cafe and enjoying being waited on by her friend.  She eventually gets part time weekend work with MP! in the back and flirts with anyone she finds remotely attractive, fellow employees included. Their shared ability to appreciate cute people is one of the reasons they're friends.

Parents - Kim Taehyung and Park Eunhye - They work as office clerks. They only want Soyul to not suffer and have a comfortable life. They feel really bad that she left home, but are too prideful to go ask her to come home. They want to make amends but can't understand why she doesn't want a life of security like they want for her. They are really good people actually and are kind and just as polite as Soyul. Later, once they figure out where Soyul has been working, they sort of stalk the cafe. Eventually they come in and actually start learning some of the games. It's one of the first steps to them and Soyul coming to terms and forgiving each other.

last words She doesn't have to have a love interest since I think she needs to worry about herself first but if it would be cute then pair her with another character or maybe a NPC? I also see her as being like an everyman watching some of the more energetic or loud employees?
