INTRODUCTION

he was his high school's golden boy, excelling in almost every subject. he was the kind of boy you'd probably fall for. he has the looks, the scores, the body, i mean what else could you probably ask? his parents, his teachers, his friends, everybody, was proud of him. his life was perfect, until an incident that took his friend's life happened. he blamed himself for what happened and ended up throwing away everything he had . he threw away his education by not coming to school and started living like a mad man. he started to smoke, drink, and he would sometimes not come home for 3 days straight only to come home with bruises all over his face and a bleeding lip. because of his past achievements though, his school (thankfully) allowed him to graduate. his parents sent him to korea after his graduation because they wanted him to live in a new environment, an environment where they hope could revert him back to how he used to be, an environment which can help him forgive himself.

NICKNAMES

Xiao Hua ( meaning ; little flower ) - only his late friend, Wuxian, calls him this. Wuxian used to call him this to piss him off but he began to grow fond of it, secretly liking it whenever his best friend calls him that. Now he goes angry when someone else calls him that because he thinks that no one else other than Wuxian deserves to call him that.

 

The Notorious Huang - he earned this nickname for being the school's bad boy.

STYLE - he's quite fashionable actually...before the incident happened, his clothes were usually colorful, sometimes he'd even wear a beret to complete his look but now he's more into well... the kind of fashion that isn't so colorful and bright.

PERSONALITY 

In the past, Kaihua was a very diligent boy who works hard each and everyday to obtain the highest score possible. He was also very kind, offering help to those who needed assistance and was also very caring towards his friends. He would treat them to a meal sometimes and would stand up for them if they were mistreated. He was also a very respectful son towards his parents, never disobeying them, helping them whenever needed and constantly making them proud. 

 

After that incident though, his personality flipped 180 degrees. The old Kaihua was gone and was replaced by a new one. This Kaihua gets involved in fist fights, disobeys the rules, disappoints his parents, and gives absolutely no sh!t about his grades. Studying? seriously, that. Whenever someone pisses him off he would send them flying towards the other side of the road. The old Kaihua wouldn't even dream of smoking but here he is, a blunt on his right hand, a soju bottle on his left, damaging himself to the core. He'd say it if someone had told him off.

 

The only thing that was left of the old Kaihua was his care towards his friends. If he considers you as a precious person then he'd do almost anything for you. He'd stand up for you, fight for you and won't let anybody lay a finger on you. He won't ever leave you (He's kind of like a puppy tbh.) He's also very clever and creative, he'd always find his way out of any situation.

BACKGROUND 

He was his high school's golden boy, loved by everyone until that incident happened.

Now, what incident actually?

 

He loved bets and he loved winning them even more. However, a certain bet took Jin Wuxian's life. Jin Wuxian was his dearest friend, Wuxian was always there for him and vice versa. He earned the nickname Xiaohua from Wuxian. He pretends to hate it when he actually loves it when he gets called by that name. He made a bet with him on who would be the fastest to run home. It was supposed to be a playful bet until Wuxian crashed into the wrong guys and pissed them off. When Kaihua looked back to check on Wuxian, he was nowhere to be seen. He searched and searched until he arrived at a certain alley, only to see Wuxian's cold body lying on the ground with blood pooling under him.

 

"Wuxian please wake up...you can call me Xiaohua...come on...I won't get mad at you this time so please just open your eyes..."

 

He changed his behavior since then, the guilt eating him up. He got himself a tattoo of a rue flower that symbolizes his regret for making such a bet in the first place.

DAILY LIFE

- WHAT TIME DOES HE USUALLY WAKE UP?

If he feels like going to his classes then he wakes up at 7 AM but if he doesn't then he just sleeps in and wakes up at God-knows-when. Honestly it all depends on his mood.

 

- HOW TO FIND KAIHUA?

Well you can see him at school but if you can't then he's probably at home or picking a fight with someone or maybe getting drunk at broad daylight! But that's very rare because you see, despite all the fights he gets into, he never misses work at the cafe near the station. Since the cafe's popular, the pay is very nice so he can't risk losing the job.

 

- WHAT DOES HE DO AT HOME?

He'd play games and order take-out when he's hungry. The only thing he has ever cooked was eggs and please don't ever let him go near kitchen supplies. PLEASE. He never really studies anymore but he still has nice scores (when he actually tries to answer the questions instead of sLEEPing while the test is going on.) 

 

- WHAT DOES HE DO ON THE WEEKENDS?

Well his weekends are usually spent by fighting people or participating in street races but most of the time he'd just be in a bar, drinking his night away.

- He used to have a lovely relationship with his parents before his personality changed. They aren't very close now but his parents still care for him deeply. Even when he lashed out on them his mom would step forward and hug him while patting his back. His parents sent him to Korea so he could start fresh in a new environment, they also sometimes try to facetime him which would end up...declined. But on VERY VERY rare occasions, it would end up accepted and they talk for hours.

- They were inseparable. Having playful banters against each other and making friendly bets as well. His death affected Kaihua majorly, being the main cause of the change in his personality.

- they dated for 3 months and broke up right after Wuxian's death. although they broke-up, Kaihua still cares about her and vice versa. they still talk online, occasionally facetiming at night (yes he declines his parents call to facetime with her and also because he fights alot he couldn't be bothered to cover his bruises and he doesn't want his parents to start nagging him about it.)

"I'm not a local, I came from China and well as for why i chose this place... it was my parents who told me to enroll here because they think this place will suit me."

HOW ABOUT YOUR HIGH SCHOOL RECORDS, ANYTHING WORTH MENTIONING TO BE CONSIDERED?

"I've won alot of gold medals in the past i  guess..."

"I wasn't really in--" (coughs) "It was because i wanted to give a shot in the business world, to see how much i could help my parents by running my own business."
