*Yeah, I saw that video too. Yeah, I feel worse for it as well. The following started as a conversation but devolved into a diatribe. Read at your own risk. heh

I hate that JessiCat is still so ostracized. Tiffany, Seohyun, and Sooyoung— who are not really in Girls Generation anymore, no matter what they or anyone else says— can see, talk about and to, promote, each other all the damned time, but every last one of them STILL pretends like Jessica never existed. 

Jerks. I’ll never forgive them for this. Not really.

I HATE them!
I’ve held back my true feelings on what happened, but in my heart of hearts I want to say something really deep-cutting and harsh to them, like, “Did you know that you guys used to give me courage? ...Or, at least, the idea of you did. Not the reality, obviously. Because now? Not a one of you has show real courage since September 30, 2014. 

“Either you forced Jessica out in the lowest, most backstabbing way possible or you stood by while others forced her out and just allowed it. (The more I learn, though, the less I believe SM was really behind it. Don’t get me wrong, the company can be shady as , but there is no reason they would have promoted Jessica like they did just before the split and set up Tokyo Dome as her farewell only to throw her away a short time later and without bringing all that planning and work to fruition. You don’t go so far out of your way promote a bond that you only wish to sever nor build someone up only to knock them down, not when a big part of your revenue depends on both of those things. They held on to Jessica for a year after the split and actively promote Blanc to this day! ...ANYway...) I do not even care if you bear no direct responsibility in her ouster. Four and a half years after the fact, and you have not spoken out against that injustice once. You have even actively participated in the farce and rubbed it everyone’s faces on multiple occasions. Which means you either supported it or were too cowardly to denounce the evil. All evil needs to prosper is for good people to do nothing. But you gave it way more than that, didn’t you? 

“Oh, I can hear you and your blind supporters now. ‘But the bosses/parents said they couldn’t. It’d violate their contracts and lose them income and opportunities as a result!’ So, why do you think Jessica didn’t dismantle Blanc on unexpected demand? Do you not see that it’s the same thing? Furthermore, okay, whatever you say, Nazis. ‘It wasn’t our fault we tortured and killed Jews. It’s not like we wanted to! It’s just what we were told to do...’

“All in all, I can and do support you, but I will never trust you again.” 

...I can’t believe they dare asked. “Trust us just one more time! (We won’t tell you one thing about what happened, don’t trust you to know the truth and still believe in us, but just trust us, okay?) We were trying to protect SNSD!”

Excuse me? The only way you could think of to save something was to destroy it? And what were you saving it from, by the way? What necessitated what you did? And you know what else? As hard and horrible as it was to hear the story from Jessica, at least she didn’t screw around with it or us. You only play us. 

“Yeah, we mishandled— No, skewered and set aflame— your hopes and faith, but trust us again, okay, baby? We swear we won’t break your heart again. We did this is for us, girl!” 

What. Ever. And those who did trust them, the jerks blindsided yet again with three of them walking out with no warning and of their own volition. But those members got to be lauded and praised, fed into the lie that only fools would believe, that SNSD is still a strong cohesive unit. “Hellfire and damnation on the one who wanted to merely try her own thing while still being a part of us!!! Screw that opportunist! You can’t be of two minds and in SNSD! It’s impossible! (But, also, it’s okay to abandon everyone but still be a ‘part of the group.’ It’s not being of two minds when all you think of is yourself, so that doesn’t count.)” 

Uh, sure.

“But, hey! Don’t forget to keep trusting us, SONE!”

Um, no.

I can’t even find joy or escape with you anymore. All the positivity I’ve felt with or for SNSD since the day you chose to be Girls’ Degeneration has been questionable, tainted by the creeping suspicion that it’s all just hollow manipulation and the anxiety that it’s all genuine but liable to self-destruct at any time. The only way this situation will change is if you make it right, which, let’s be honest here, you’re not going to. You won’t even try. Proven that again and again. 

So screw that. 

And screw you.
