history ezekiel eunwoo kwon was born to two korean immigrants travelling from the state of new york to the uk. when they managed to settle down in birmingham, they had a pretty baby boy the summer of 2000. kiel's father was in a previous marriage years prior to his birth, leading him to having a half-sister around 7 years older than him. this sister of his stayed in korea, under her mother's custody and hadn't met kiel until years after. his parents were office-bound people, with kiel's father being a general manager and his mother a market analyst, meaning kiel had plenty of time outside his home independently, taking extra-curriculars here and there. up until elementary school, kiel wanted to become a pilot, though once middle school kids said he'd need godly vision and math, he'd given up on that aspiration since. kiel took up ballet in 6th grade onwards, with minor specialization in hip-hop and jazz afterwards due to his involvement in musicals and local theatre. this had been kiel's image throughout school; a band boy; a theatre kid. this became the root of his musical curiosity altogether. despite focusing on dance during his early life, kiel took a foreign route as he stepped into 8th grade, one year shy from his high school journey. he began joining musical composition, learning instruments and producing tracks in his free time, even going as far as joining the school's choir as the guitarist after learning. he wasn't much of a soprano in choir, but he had his lines. other than this, he also took avid interest in english literature. not much of an academically excelling student in fields such as mathematics and physics, but he definitely had a hidden love for chemistry. him and his family would travel to korea once every two years for vacation, which is how he is familiar with some practices in sk. however, in 2012, his father moved back to korea to spend time with his daughter, kwon mina. kiel and his mother would spend holidays back home for kiel to get close to his sister and father. he'd taken advantage of this time to audition for other agencies before he returned to birmingham. two years later, november 2014, kiel's father passed away due to cancer. it took a while for kiel to process his own feelings, even speeding away to pledis late 2015 to "distract" himself from the situation, but eventually accepted the reality of things months later.

· kiel was honestly so scared to even approach youngho,, but he ended up getting much closer to him after coming out two years after joining the company. he looks up to youngho a lot, annoys him with affection and often asks his hyung to eat out with him
