First Impression - Review #4: LEDApple Time Is Up Single Album

Even though LedApple have debuted before this Single Album, I did not know about them until recently. And when I saw their music video for “Time Is Up” I fell in love with the song and bang immediately.

“Time is Up” is their third single album, and I’m glad I found them. They are a rock-electronic band, except different from FTIsland in that I haven’t heard slow songs from them yet. *cough* FTIsland review coming up^^ *cough* So I think they fit more into the electronic side of a “rock” category.

1. Intro

The intro contains no vocals, but a very catchy tune throughout it. Of course, using the band instruments. There isn’t much to say since there are no vocals, but at least it’s catchy :)

2. Time is Up

The song starts out with a soft clock ticking sound and then immediately kicks into vocals and the instruments after a second or so. (The beginning of the song is very catchy to me). There is a very distinctive repeating tune in the background of the song, at the beginning and other intervals, that occurs approximately every eight beats. Like “Hoooo~” When I first heard it I didn’t think it reminded me of anything...but then at the second tune I realized that it reminded me of G-Dragon’s A Boy (Which I enjoy as well). Just that little repeating tune throughout sections of the song reminds me of some parts of A Boy.

After the first chorus, the melody is easy to get and to sing along to. Especially the “Youu~” at the end of a line in the Chorus.

The english...is pretty good, because there is not much of it other than “Time’s Up” But there is this one point in the song where someone says “I wanna have time’s up” ....*sighs* Could we get through a song without an English flop? *shm* Apparently not.

The raps throughout the song fit well, no awkward-ness.

I have to admit this song is more interesting to listen to while watching the music video though, because the animations for that were really unique. *cough* review for that too *cough*

3. Time Is Up Instrumental

Do I need to say anything about this?

Anyways, in conclusion, I’m looking forward to seeing them live with this song, because I haven’t seen any of their lives before. And I am looking forward to new music from them. They seem to be very individual from the other rock idol bands out there now.

I should also probably get to know the member’s names...
