it is the mothertongue of the wong household. he only speaks cantonese in a family occassion. it gets rusty overtime.

he also grew with it alongside cantonese, and uses it among his chinese or those who can speak mandarin peers.

he is very fluent in malay, which tend to confuse the malays if he is a real chinese or not. though it may be a surprise to the public, its not a big deal within his circle.

english
he learns the malaysia standard english in school. he understands the speech pretty well, but often has trouble making a perfect sentence, proning him to mix other languages while attempting to speak english.

korean
when the company decides to toss him in a korean survival show, well, mike...doesn't really have a choice. before he got in the show, he has been taught with only the basic korean phrases. he is currently learning.

lean and tall. you can say he has an appearance of a model. he somewhat shamelessly adds another centimeter of insoles to make himself look taller. he maybe does not have the standard korean visual, but his face definitely strikes something that draws his surroundings. needless to say, he is attractive and y.

mike usually has his black hair slicked to the back. he also has his ear-pierced and has his back of his left side tattooed an infinite symbol.

mike dones his style classy and elegant in any occassion. he is quite a stylish fashionista, but he does not admit he is one. he makes sure he is comfortable and keeps his fashion simple. he is often seen wearing varieties of glasses and in casual, loves to wear sleeveless shirt or the standard ts following with ripped jeans.

he may seem to look matured outside, but he is merely a lost puppy. he seeks for guidance and purpose in his life, wanting to serve whats best for him and his future. he is bold when he is given a challenge, and thinks it as a cowardice if he backed up. living with great people around him, he is extremely loyal to them and refuses to crush their hope towards him.

while he is trusted by many, he could not open himself fully. out of habit, he avoids emotional feeling and tends to be sarcastic about it. he may look like a meanie to others, but to those who could understand him, he tries very hard to control himself.

BACKGROUND

throughout his childhood, mike has gone through quite a lot. being the only child and hope, his parents have already pressured him in learning and disciplining at a young age. piano class, math class, martial arts, mannerism. it exhaused the kid physically and mentally, causing him to detach his emotion and keeps it to himself.

different in his house, school made him feel less lonely. his only joy was his friends that didn't see him differently. he had always enjoyed participating in school performance, especially when a boy encouraged him to do so. his best friend amir, inspired him to challenge himself to prove that he can succeed without doing what he was forced to do. he was then introduced to dancing. mike enjoyed it and joined the crew later on, lead by amir.

his parents happened to find out about his passion, causing a heated argument in between. in the end, his parents still disagree, but knowing that mike is happy about his decision, they support him nevertheless. this goes on when he was scouted alongside amir in youtube by a local agency, promising them a future.

amir is mike's closest friend since childhood. unlike mike, amir knows a lot about kpop and korea. they were the only two who were chosen as trainees under a local company after being scouted. amir was reluctant that their company did not sign him up in pd101 instead, but he is still happy about mike. they still keep in contact, with amir educating him about korea. he is the one who is responsible for naming mike "mikhail".

ismail izzani

he is a well-known local artist in malaysia, and also mike's labelmate. they both got along very well as they are at the same age, and mike working as his back-up dancer. when ismail found out about his current situation, he cheers for him, giving every support that he needs.

naim daniel

he is also one of mike's labelmate, a local singer. alongside ismail, he also cheers for him to do his best. mike greatly respects naim, looking up to him as a brother figure. naim often worries about the latter's well-being in korea.

world peace (wp) entertainment scouted mike while he and his crew were covering some of the local songs in youtube. only he and amir got accepted, having them as back-up dancers for their artists while training.

it was then the situation changed when the company founded out about produce 101, and without mike's acknowledgement, they signed him in. they figured he would be much suited to be a kpop idol rather than a regular local artist, believing that he can carved his own name in the music industry, thus making their nation proud.

after mike was informed, he was unable to have a second thought about it, rather he takes it as a new challenge ahead.
