Failed challenge and entry pfs

I'm betting my head was probably in slump as i decided to challenge horror genre orz
horror style really make me wanna scream in frustrated. all of the style were goddam simple and the only style i'm having fun was evil dead. but hey, didn't most of the horror designs have their font look simple? Since it make reading the title easier? lool i'm making excuses for my lack of creativeness in this genre orz
anyway, i'm using movies title and the style is not even related with the title bcs i'm lack of ideas as usual ._. and omg the only color i'm using for this style is either red or grey-ish. white make the font look odd so in my opinion grey is a good alternative although in now it look blue-ish bcs of the coloring orz

firstly, i was planning to enter emillieee contest as i started design this poster but i get drifted away from the cheatsheet and turning it into different genre. this design was supposed to be my submission but i guess i will just buried it in my portfolio.
idk how i get carried away from the prompt, i was just adding green on his eyes for fun and make his eyes visbile since his eyes was so black. and somehow before i knew it, i started to outline the black textures scatter on his face bcs it look so weird and i just want to know if there's another way to make it blend with chen's face. Slowly i get carried away adding white outline along the black texture and it kinda ended up looking like a claw mark around his eyes.
the vibe turned into something else when i'm done with the white outline and rechecking the cheatsheet orz. i'm probably won't get to participate in the contest since i tend to drifted away lool poor chen ; w ;
