Fanfiction Recommendation #5

I have been debating on whether I should compile all my recommendations into one fic. Let me know if anyone would be interested. I cannot promise regular updates but I will add a story that I have enjoyed when I finish reading.

Multi-Fandom, no particular ships and both FxM and MxM will be blogged.

All ratings and warnings will be mentioned in the blog.

Comment any recommendations, I am always open to a good read.

Synopsis:

Jeno knows Na Jaemin, of course he does.

Well, he knows of him anyway. There’s not a single person in this godforsaken high school who doesn’t. Jaemin is everywhere, up in everyone’s business. He hangs out with all the other cool kids and even the teachers greet him in the hallways.

So yes, Jeno knows of him, too, he doesn’t live under a rock, and they've talked, once or twice. But he doesn’t know him and that's fine because they frequent different crowds. Jeno keeps to himself.

Jaemin doesn’t. Jaemin keeps to everyone but to himself.

Everyone knows that, too.

(aka Jaemin is popular and Jeno didn't think he'd care until suddenly he does.)

Personal Comments:

A beautifully written story of friendship, love and self discovery. The novel is written in a way that emphasizes the complexity of humanity. Although, at some points you cannot help but be frustrated with the characters, the plot is exquisitely fleshed out. The idea that a small problem can and often does become large due to the feelings involved is well carried out.

The story delves into prevailent topics such as the power of misconceptions and self-love. The characters are relatable and you can identify with nearly every one of them at one point or another in the novel.

Score: 9/10
