if there was one word used to describe jung jihee, it would be 'sociable'. the girl's always talking, and always making new friends wherever she goes, with a contact list almost as long as the great wall of china. there's just something about jihee that makes her likable and able to put a smile on everyone's face. despite that, she's a little judgemental, and as much as she's a naturally friendly person, if she doesn't like the sight of you there's a high chance she'll simply completely ignore your presence - you don't exist in her books. she's an impatient person and doesn't like waiting, so if you're planning on being friends with her, get used to her whining and complaining about how things are slow or how service is bad. among the bloomfields' members, she's one of the laziest, always having to have to take a break after every hour or so despite the other members tiding her along. she's more of a kid than anyone else is, still immature despite already being twenty one, getting mad easily and blowing her top for the smallest of reasons - added with the fact that she's really competitive, hating losing and even throwing fits sometimes when she does ("to think she calls herself mature!" - everyone around her) makes for her to be a tough person to work with, as many people have fast discovered. however, no matter how 'high and mighty' and haughty jihee may seem to be, she's really not all that bad all the time. she's still a relatively thoughtful and sincere person, and if she sees you down, she'll never hesitate to go up to you and comfort you. she's a persuasive person, jihee, and usually's able to change one's mind about things, making for her to be a great peace-maker (when she wants to be one). she's able to adapt herself to make herself seem more approachable in whatever situation it is (it's a scary trait sometimes, but very helpful), especially considering her intense dislike for direct confrontation. she's someone who'd rather carry a grudge to her grave, burying herself in that victim mentality everyone can't stand than actually clear the air with someone. constantly doubtful and indecisive about things, jihee can't seem to ever make a big decision of her own, panicking when such things are left to her. heck, deciding what to order for dinner is already a big hurdle for the girl. additionally, although she may seem like someone extremely narcissistic, jihee's actually always comparing herself to others, going green with envy when she finds someone she finds better than she is in the few aspects she can actually be confident in (ie her looks). she knows she's not the brightest block on the street, and works hard to cover these up, which means she absolutely detests it when her flaws are pointed out - including when her playing gets criticized by yuna during practice. and even though she knows the weak points about herself, she never admits it to others. she likes to think of herself as a strong person, which is why she never likes confiding or needing others' help so she's grown to store all feelings in herself. (she really isn't though, she cries so much fml) tl;dr, jihee's a person full of contradictions, especially when she complains about others getting mad for no reason (hello? you're constantly blowing your top for the most minor of issues), not putting their 100% in practice (because she's not exactly the most hardworking one) or when people are late (because she's late 75% of the time too). the number one fear of jihee’s is for her weak self to be exposed, for everyone to see her for who she really is, a girl terrified of failure, which is why she tends to cover herself up and be outspoken and confident.

there's really not all that much to know about jihee's past besides the fact that she was born into a wealthy family, raised in seoul's wealthiest district, gangnam. her parents doted on her a ton and she was able to get any material wants she desired with the snap of a finger, which is what led to her personality being how it is today. she has one older brother who she's always squabbling with, but other than that, jihee's life up till today has been one of relative shelter and comfort, never really having gone through much trouble. socially, she's always been in the centre of attention wherever she's gone, thanks to her having lucked out in genetic lottery, and although there've definitely always been people who've disliked her bratty attitude, she doesn't pay much heed to them. while she's not the best academically either, it doesn't bother her all that much like it used to now that she's safely in university. how she ended up in bloomfields though? word was spreading around that yuna was forming a new band, and although that had reached jihee in passing, it hadn't really piqued her interest all that much although she'd always found yuna as a person rather intriguing. it was only when she found out that he was going to be in bloomfields when jihee found herself unknowingly approaching them to ask if they had any vacancies open in the band. she'd learnt how to play the keyboard when she was younger thanks to the numerous lessons her parents had sent her for (taekwondo, ballet, abacus, among other things) but she'd never thought it would come into use until that day. she was admittedly, very rusty when she'd auditioned and tried out but she got in nevertheless partly due to the fact that she wasn't all that bad, and partly because the band knew that with her as part of the band they'd get much more attention. ever since, jihee's liked the sound of 'i'm in a band!' on her tongue when she introduces herself to others (she thinks it adds a new layer to herself instead of being just the typical peppy chick she is). the band's good company and the fact that she gets to spend much more time when she's there with him makes it all the more better.

˗ˏˋ chemistry major + most people find it rather surprising when they find out jihee's a chemistry major, catching her scurrying around campus in her lab coat and goggles turning up late for another practical. honestly speaking, it's not that she particularly loves science or anything, but that chemistry just happened to be one of the few rare subjects she turned out to be well... okay, in. naturally, her affinity for the subject meant that her parents were fully supportive of her following this path though she doesn't really know what she's going to do after she graduates.

˗ˏˋ queen of spice + jihee loves anything to do with spice, and she finds anything without a spicy kick added to it, well, boring. she's won multiple competitions among big groups trying to outspice each other and the grandma selling ddeokbokki near campus knows her order by heart. (one bowl, extra spice!)

˗ˏˋ yoga, pilates, gym buff + being someone that cares a lot about her appearance, jihee dedicates time every week just to exercise, even when there's tons of assignments due and exams are coming up, nothing's going to stop her from getting that time down in the gym. she enjoys running and her ideal second date would be going hiking up a hill or mountain.

˗ˏˋ nail biter + jihee's worst habit (in her books) would be how she always chews on her nails when she's nervous. it's disgusting and her manicure never lasts for more than a few days because of this, but she just can't seem to kick the habit.

˗ˏˋ instagram famous + it's no surprise that jihee's a mini sensation on instagram, with over three thousand followers and tons of likes on every selca and perfectly tailored post she uploads every week. when someone brings it up she brushes it off like it's nothing, but she puts in more effort than you'd think to maintaining her insta.

˗ˏˋ bathroom singer + when people find out jihee's in a band, their first thought would be to think that she's the lead singer, but she's definitely not fit for the role at all, although she definitely sings all the time in the comfort of her bathroom. her brother always complains about her terrible singing, and people are always startled when they go to the noraebang with her and are faced with the reality of her singing skills.

one. how is your current relationship with your bandmates? what about with the other band?

˗ˏˋ she lets out a bright laugh, and runs a hand through her hair. oh, it's great! they're all very nice and we're super close to each other! the bloomfields members are definitely among my closer friends in snu, yeap! joining was definitely a great idea.

˗ˏˋ as for the other band.... autotelic? uh, i don't know them all that well, to be honest, especially cause of the rivalry thing the other members are always going on about. i've definitely met them in passing... she shrugs nonchalently, before her eyes light up and she whips out her phone. oh, and i think i follow one of the members of autotelic on instagram because he followed me first!

two. what do you think of the whole rivalry?

˗ˏˋ to be honest, i don't really care much about it? she leans in and whispers to the interviewer. don't tell yuna or the rest about it though, she might kill me. i don't know, maybe it's 'cause i never was part of autotelic? i don't get what's the big deal. it's not like there's any big contest or something that we're actually competing in, right? if there were then maybe i'd get more fired up but right now we're just... i don't know, fighting over nothing? but whatever, everyone knows we're better anyway.

three. what is the meaning of the band to you?

˗ˏˋ wow, this is such a deep question! she chuckles nervously. uh, bloomfields is just... a nice outlet to discover the hidden music potential i never knew i had? i mean, i chucked my piano skills away back when i was ten, and i never thought i'd make a comeback, but here i am. it's nice to meet new people and do something i never thought i'd take part in.
