prsoNlity.  For the most part, Daejun has a very chill and unique personality. He tends to be very observant. Therefore, he is quiet but always watching....always listening...always taking in. He goes through mood swings so when he's happy he likes to goof around with the members, often showing them memes or pranking them. He gets really sad at night and tends to stay up all night on his computer. This is why he usually craves attention and cuddles. Because he's a night owl he is sleepy during the day and is very quiet (and exhibits short-temper). He hates seeing anyone getting bullied or being put down (it reminds him of his younger siblings) therefore, he will step up and with wild eyes scare the bully and defend the victim. He is not one to back down. He tends to hide in his room or a closet when he is encountering a panic attack (triggered by memories, bullies, criticism).

bckground.

Home life: Daejun was born in Seoul, Korea. He came from a middle class family. He has twin younger siblings and currently lives with his grandmother and siblings in a tiny apartment in Seoul. Daejun doesn't have a close relationship with his parents due to a traumatic and abusive past he had with them. They constantly emotionally abused him and physically hit him because he "ruined their life". His parents weren't able to pursue their dreams due to having to take care of him. They also said he wasn't "good enough" because he wasn't that good of a student. He would often protect his younger siblings and in one incident, he was hurt badly on his neck by the hands of his mother leading to a bad scar on his neck. This lead to him having slight manic episodes and deals with issues with not being "the best" so he continually tries to strive for improvement. He doesn't like to talk about his past and will frequently avoid talking about his childhood (most of his bad memories are repressed).

The scar: He hid the scar as best as he could with scarves, makeup, chokers, or t-shirt collars while growing up until he could finally get a tattoo. He decided to go with a neck tattoo of roses and thorns. However, he still feels as if people can see the scar (they can't) and he still continues to try and hide his neck (although if his tattoo peaks a little bit he doesn't mind. He still suffers with panic attacks and manic episodes to this day, but tries to hide it from the members (they know, but don't tell him they know). It isn't harmful to anyone (including himself).

Discovering his talents: He has very poor memory due to having bad focus and attention. He realized however that he could focus on poetry. His teacher showed him how he could put emotions and feelings into poetry and showed him how rap was very similar to poetry. He was very thankful to his teacher and wrote many rap lines. He also was inspired to learn dancing after watching a program "Remembering Michael Jackson." He was good in rapping, vocalizing, and dancing but he could never become "main" or the "best" because he has bad focus and attention. It is better to scatter his talents then put it all in one.

solo rap-artist: Because of his past, he decided he wasn't going to let anyone stop him from achieving his dreams. He knew he was good in rap so he went for audition after audition. He auditioned for SMTM but didn't make it because they thought he looked too much like an idol "pretty" and not a "rough" artist who they were looking for. He was sad and as he was leaving he was picked up by a YG representative stating that YG was looking for pretty and talented boys for an upcoming boy group. He trained under YG with Minho and Bobby, but instead of going on the show YG had, he debuted as a solo artist. However, the timing was off and he didn't receive much attention. He left YG because of lack of attention and he had no ability for creative expression (He felt very controlled and he hates being controlled). He got in trouble for uploading his mixtape on soundcloud which targetted Jay park (and everyone else who dissed k-idol rappers).

Big hit: He overheard his classmates discussing they got into Bighit entertainment and he decided to send in his songs to them. They went through with an audition and he got in. Goal: Thank his grandmother for raising him well and never giving up on him. He wants to be a role model for his siblings.
