appearance. Chilhyun is standing at 180cm and weighs 60kg. He has natural black hair and considerably fair skin. He doesn't really have any unique looking facial features nor a memorable looking face. He just looks a any other Korean man.

style.  He usually dresses casually and doesn't put in much effort to dress himself up. He's just not the 'dress to impress' kind of person and he prefers comfort over aesthetics. On a normal day he can be spotted wearing sweatpants with a random t-shirt along with a random pair of slides or if he's heading for training, sneakers. He desperately needs a stylist because he had completely no sense of fashion or colour matching.

personality.  You can hear him before you see him. Chilhyun is kind and genuine towards everyone he meets and never has hidden motives. He always sees the cup half full and rarely ever and probably never says anything discouraging or appear to feel discouraged. He loves to meddle in others' business and while some say that is really annoying, Chilhyun purely is a caring person and loves to help in all ways possible. He loves making others smile and has an infectious laughter and naturally funny personality. Thus he unknowingly attracts a ton of attention and love and he enjoys the attention. He is a breave soul and is also loyal to stand up for his bestfriends and even fight for them.

He often makes big statements and has big dreams. Though having big dreams may be a good thing, Chilhyun sometimes makes unrealistic goals and gets dejected after. Chilhyun has ADHD, so he is highly distracted and disorganised. He also often jump from thing to thing and then forgets when he was doing. He also loses things easily, and some people dub him 'magic hands' because whatever he holds runs a possibility of going missing. People hardly take him seriously because of his wild personality, but when he's serious, he does take pride in the things he do. He just doesn't like to seem serious so he actually loves the way people underestimate his abilities. He sometimes takes too long in the bathroom because he loves looking in the mirror.

background.  Chilhyun was born when his mom was 16, and his dad refused to accept the responsibility. Things were rough for Chilhyun and his mom because his grandparents didn't have a sustainable income to raise a teenager and a child. His mom had to quickly find a job and halt her studies. Though he came from a less well to do family, his grandparents loved him very much and he grew up being a bubbly and adorable child. 
He knew since he was a kid that he had to study a little harder than other kids, which was what made him do well in school. Though as much as he studied, he played an equal amount. Chilhyun caused alot of trouble for a naturally smart kid on the honour roll. He skipped school for underground hip hop gigs, and physically fought with people who bullied his close friends. He also would get physical with anyone who is rude to his mom. Thankfully as he grew, he matured to learn that fighting doesn't solve problems. Still, his love for rap music didn't end there.

– Mother :: Ahn Jihyun (37) / Korean BBQ shop owner / brave, optimistic, energetic, touchy / 10 / "My son is going to be a star." She said proudly as she plants a huge kiss on Chilhyun's right cheek... People often mistake Jihyun as Chilhyun's elder sister or sometimes his girlfriend. Which to that, Chilhyun cringes everytime when he hears. However, he does love his mom and is very protective of her. Jihyun loved H.O.T as a teenager and coincidentally, her last name was 'Ahn', and conveniently, so was her bias' name. Thus the name, Ahn Chilhyun.
 

  
– Bestfriend :: Cha Eunwoo (21) / idol / smart, loyal, confident  / 8 / "Lee Dongmin, my visuals are fine, but when you stand beside me, I instantly become trash." The two studied in Hanlim Multi Arts School together and were classmates. Though both of them excelled academically, Chilhyun was a little bit more of a troublemaker. Though the differences exist, they were they best buddies and spent lots of time playing basketball and studying together. When Eunwoo became a trainee, Chilhyun was happy for him at first, and eventually was inspired by him to chase after his own dreams. Though they hangout lesser as they both get busier, they are still in contact with each other and often updates one another on their lives.

Anything that's not too high, since I have a rather deep voice, if you can't already tell. I absolutely love singing and dancing so I will skip that to challenge myself. trainee life. Chilhyun was performing for a gig and received some name cards from a few entertainment companies and on of the few was Yuehua. Having watched Produce 101, Chilhyun recognised Yuehua, and only Yuehua amongst the few company, so he went for the audition and was accepted. Then began his trainee life.

Being the opportunist, he has made many friends within the company and is close to the trainees Lee Euiwoong and Ahn Hyeongseop.

Things weren't the easiest for Chilhyun because he's weak in singing and dancing. Though his rapping skills were not too shabby, it had lots of room for improvement. Even though his skills weren't there many triners and trainees remembered him for being that funny guy. So without second thoughts, the company felt that he was the best person they could send to attend Produce100, and in fact believe that he stands a chance to reach the final round.
