» man was pretty tanned when he first showed up in korea. the australian sun had something to do with that, though with korean skin care products he's gotten significantly lighter. he is still pretty dark but he doesn't care too much. he has a lean, athletic build coming from years of dance, athletics and the gym and his abs are to die for. his hair is generally matted and tastefully messy cuz he thinks its y. he has multiple piercings on both ears and also has a nose stud on the right side. he has a multitude of tattoos, with designs covering both shoulders, a flaming horse on his back, as well as a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm. he is a walking nightmare for his stylist whenever they perform.  

FASHION STYLE 
» he is a total hypebeast. stussy, supreme, bape, you name it, he wears it. he is also a big fan of adidas. in fact, half his wardrobe consists of adidas apparel, and most of his pants are adidas joggers. majority of his clothing is in neutral colours, mostly blacks or whites and greys. he is always entering his name into contests or raffles for the latest pair of yeezy's or off-white vapormaxes. he rocks the ultraboosts, nmd's, or jordans, etc. most of the time, and if he needs to wear boots he goes with the tried and true timberlands or army boots. he normally wears his joggers or skinny jeans when he goes out, but if he is just chilling at home he rocks the sweatpants like theres no tomorrow. also, man doesn't like to wear shirts at home so he is always topless or at most in a tank.  he also wears the hype watches, though most of them have run out of batteries and he wears them only for fashion. in winter he tends to rock the nobis' or parajumpers.

damian's confidence is what got him this far and will carry him further. he knows what he is capable of and he won't lower his own standards for anyone. he is bold, with some may even consider him as cocky. he believes strongly in his skill and experience and has no problem with speaking his mind if it is to the benefit of the group. he is very charismatic and people tend to listen to him when he speaks. he is good at the motivational pep talks before they go on stage or do something important. he is very independent and writes, composes and produces music for empire as well as other people.

he is a laid back individual who doesn't like to be rushed or nagged. life is stressful enough as it is and he just wants people to chill. damian wants to make sure that the group isn't too stressed out and is always open to listening to their problems. he may not know how to fix them, but if they need someone to vent to he is there.

he is very patient with most people, unless they are going full retard. he is slow to anger unless he believes that something is very wrong, such as people harassing s or unjustly criticising them. you do not want to see him when he is angry. he bottles everything up until he can't take it anymore and is very scary. when he was younger he and his crew would often get into fights with other crews and he does have a police warning on his record for fighting. however, he has had to mature a bit since then and fighting is pretty much a story from his past. he has no problem working with people when they mess up their lines or moves, and is often used as the mediator for fights as he will listen to both sides objectively before giving his opinon. he is often times a pillar of support for the members and can be relied upon to comfort and encourage them if they need, and the leaders of the group tend to look to him if they need advice.

so he is pretty chill with the ladies. very nice and super friendly compared to his badboy looks. he'll shoot winks and smirks, and he always has the right words to say. it's unintentional but he kind of leads girls on a lot of the time without knowing.

he doesn't like to talk about his personal problems. he is a sponge and is willing to listen to other people, but doesn't want to burden them with his issues. this also happens when he gets criticised by yg or other authority figures. he silently takes it and bottles up the stress. he takes out his frustrations at the gym on a good old punching bag, or he will lock himself away in his room for a while. he is very good at hiding his pains, and tries to put on a strong image for the members and the fans.

there are two sides to him. one side he likes to stay in the comfort of home, where his computer games and bed is. he don't like the outside world and generally he is very mellow. on the flip side,  when he does go out,he goes hard. he used to be a super hard partier when he was in australia and in aomg, but now that he is in an idol group he needed to chill out, but when his friends show up its time to go.there are definitely many pictures of him online underaged drinking with his home town freinds and many other pics partying it up with aomg. however, there will be moments where damian just goes to clubs as it is a good way for him to destress.

he can be incredibly stubborn over certain things. one of these was him being a kpop star. he got into a fight with his parents when they didn't approve and moved to korea. a bit extreme but everybody has that rebellious streak. he left aomg because he wanted to specifically be a kpop star and not just k-hiphop, even though he was gainig populartiy. at least he's sticks with something when he wants it? also, he will definitely bump heads with yg in terms of music. yg is known to be fickle and a perfectionist, and he is also stubborn. damian will have no problem voicing his opinion about music even if he will keep silent on other things. it'll be like gd 2.0.

damian knew he wanted to be a star, but he never expected to leave home at 20 to a whole new country after fighting with his parents. he puts on a cool, confident look, but on the inside he is still conflicted on whether he made the right choice or not. it's not always there, but its that small nagging feeling in the dark corner of the mind that just keeps coming back. he worries about his relationship with his parents, about the music and choreo, about how the public will see the group and the controversies they have. but he will never say a thing except to certain people.  he hates that he doesn't have the answer to his own problems. he is basically winging this and he has no idea where the journey will end.

BACKGROUND 

damian was born to a upper class family in melbourne, australia to a oncologist father and a pediatrician mother. he had a pretty normal upbringing, like any other rich asian kid. priveliged. he knew his best friends josh and steph since birth, as their mothers were all close with each other. they were inseperable, and throughout their childhood they would get into tonnes of mischief and mayhem together.

damian used to be pretty fat as a kid, and we all know how cruel children can be. he was given the nickname 'twins' becuase he carried the same weight as two human beings and he was often pushed around for it. this continued well into elemnetary school, and eventually josh had enough and decided to punch the next kid who called damian out. this in turn started an all out brawl, after which a bunch of supsensions and groundings, damian decided he would get skinny. it was around this time that his cousin jaebum debuted as the leader of 2pm. damian was close with his cousin, even if they didnt see each other often. jaebum became damian's inspiration to become a rapper and dancer. together with josh and stephanie, they started to go to hip hop and break dancing classes together. damian also decided he wanted to participate on mixtapes and became a soundcloud rapper.

in highschool, damian and his crew were pretty popular yet rowdy. they threw the most lit parties, and unfortunately had several encounters with the popo. but thats ok, live and learn. they also started a dance and hiphop club, where they met future collaborator, friend and youtuber demarcus. steph also brought erika into the crew as the new girl. they decided they would form the underground crew maniacs and compete in competitions together. now, mr and mrs park didn't disapprove of damian's hobbies. in fact, they loved the fact that he had found something to do in his spare time that wasn't drugs or getting random girls pregnant. however, they despised the fact that this was all coming at an expense of his grades. they were a family that was heavily involved in the medical field, and damian was expected to join them. damian had no intention of becoming a doctor and it was a point that was very contentious for both sides. in the midst of all this life drama, damian and erika steadily grew closer and before long they started dating.

sometime after, damian decided that he wanted to become a k-pop star, following in is cousin's foot steps. he shared his plan with his friends, and though it greatly saddened erika, she supported him. he told them about his plans to audition for k-pop star season 1, and also decided before he left for korea that they would compete as one last competition before graduation.

when damian's parents heard the plan, they were furious. becoming a musician was a pipe dream they said, and definitely far from a stable job. sure jay had made it, but that was only after he had been kicked out of 2pm and went through years of hardship to form aomg. besides, what asian parent wants their child (and only son) to deviate from such a sure path as becoming a doctor?  their fights lasted for weeks and left the normally relaxed damian exhausted and angry. after their graduation and final competition, damian left for korea. it was a sad farewell, as he had fought with his parents one last time and left without informing them, his crew brought him to the airport and he and erika broke up amicably as he left the gates.

fast forward a bit, and damian has been crashing at jay's place until the k-pop star. he met and made many friends along the way, but his closest one was matthew kim aka bm from kard. unfortunately, damian messed up his lyrics while performing a rap and was cut during the group stages, though yg did say he had potential and that he should try again in the future. damian was devastated as he dropped everything and came here and he ed it all up. it took jay all night, and countless bottles of soju to cheer him up, but when he finally got through, damian had  new determination. he continued training his dance and rap, and even learned how to produce from jay and gray. eventually, the aomg crew met and decided that damian would be a good addition to their roster after hearing his first self produced song 'lift off'. with aomg he experienced success with his debut song that featured both jay and gray, and he did a lot of production work and song writing for other artists. this was quite lucrative and damian earned a lot of money, but in his heart he still wanted to become a kpop star. he spoke to jay, who advised him that becoming an idol wasnt as glamorous as it seemed, and he would not have the creative freedom he had now, but if that was what he wanted he wouldn't stop him.

there were rumours that yg was taking in trainees for a few new groups that he was planning on forming, so jay pulled a few strings and got damian contacted all the way up to g dragon who spoke to papa yg himself. yg remembered him from his audition, and after careful consideration of his success, pre debut popularity, and also his ability to write songs, accepted him.

him and damian are pretty similiar. they are both super stubborn and their pride gets in the way of them apologizing. though he wants what is best for his son, he is unhappy with the terms that damian left on but he will not admit it (tbf damian did overreact). at the moment they have not spoken for a few years though he gets updates from jay, who is being the responsible one in korea.  after their debut, papa park has accepted that damian can choose his own career path, but becuase the two are still stubborn they just havent said anyhting even though they want to.

damian stared at the cieling while lying down on his bed when his phone started buzzing. he takes a look at the caller id and picks it up. "yo josh, sup?"

"your parents asked about you. how you're doing and everything. you should talk to them."

"you know that's not happening. i don't even know what to say..."

"i mean... you can say hi? its been a few years dude. they miss you." damian frowned. "did my dad say anything?" josh waited a bit before responding, "well... not really. but i know your parents, they practically raised me too. you should call em sometime." damian sighed. "maybe someday."

it tore her apart when damian left, and he still feels guilty. he has no idea what to say to her or how to ask her for forgiveness, and he feels shame for ignoring her but he can't face her. thoguh she was angry, she forgave her son a long time ago and still occasionally calls, though she knows he won't pick up anytime soon.

the phone starts buzzing again. damian just stares at it, refusing to pick it up.he is startled when a voice calls out behind him. "aren't you going to pick that up?" ardene says as she barges into his room, plopping herself onto his bed. "hello to you too, squirt." damian looks down at his phone sadly. "i'm not really in the mood for a call right now." he opens his drawer and tosses his phone in. "try not to mess my bed up too much," he says as he leaves, with ardene's curious eyes trailing after him.

damian enters the club, spotting jay at the booth with the rest of the crew. "dude, how'd you get away from your manager?" jay asks as damian sits down. "wasn't that hard, i've had tonnes of experience back home running form the cops when they shut down a party," he laughs. jay only rolled his eyes. "just needed a short break, that's all," damian replies. "whatever man, just make sure you don't get too ed up and i'll get you back to your dorm before they realize your gone."  damian shoots jay a salute "yes sir!" and pours a round of shots out.

"have i ever gotten caught by manager?" jineul shakes his head again. damian grins. "then relax, i'm telling you i got this." he turns around anad leaves before jinuel can say another word.

"jesus hyung, you look like ." gray merely glares at him before heading inside, where they find loco lying on the couch."you guys went ahrd last night, my god." loco lets out a snort as he rolls over and continues sleeping. gray takes a bite of the pizza and clsoes his eyes in bliss. "thank god for the italians." he says as he chewed.  "alright kid, what do you want, i know this pizza ain't free." damian grinned and pulled out his laptop. "new song." loco suddenly sits up, startling everyone. " lets hear it then."

damian met rose around the same time he met jennie. they clicked well with each other as they were both aussies and from the same city. he likes to a lot due to her overall innocence and gullibility, but he is also very quick to defend and protect her.

"oppa!" rosie bursts into the practice room where damian is currently taking a well deserved nap after doing nothing all day. she huffs in annoyance when damian ignores her and lets out a loud snore. "oppa if you don't wake up i'm telling jennie unnie that you and mino oppa were rating every single girl in yg." that got damian's attention and he sat right up. "you wouldn't! we let you into that conversation in confidence!" he pointed at her accusingly. rosie giggled and began to skip away. "roseanne park get your back here!" rose stuck her head back through the doorway and stuck out her tongue before running away again.

the good girl of the group. steph picked her up when she was the new girl and showed her around the school, and she grew really close with the rest of the group. they lovingly refer to her as their token white girl and 'white girl wasted' when they party cuz she has a low tolerance. she and damian had a really good thing going until he decided to go to korea. she is extremely caring and understanding, though she was incredibly upset with him when he first told her, she eventually told him that she understood and let him go. though they have broken up and she has started to see someone new, they are still close and talk with each other about anything. if fans tried, they could probably find photos of them on social media.

the dial tone goes for a couple of seconds before the person on the other line picked up. "damian? what's up?" a tired voice asks. damian chuckles. "did i wake you up baby girl?" he hears some rustling on the line as erika gets out of bed. "yeah, but i needed to get up anyways, i have a big midterm coming up and i'm only halfway done the first chapter." smiling, damian shakes his head. "always the hard worker aren't you?"  he hears erika laugh. "you know me so well. so anyways, what did you call for?" damian sighs. "nothin' really. just wanted to hear something from home for a bit. i'll let you study though, don't want you to flunk out of dentistry school."  "alright, come back home soon ok? we miss you." damian smiles. "miss you guys too."

TRAINING YEARS 2015-2017 [2 years]

TRAINING BACKGROUND
» his arrival at yg was definitely not well recieved by the other trainees at first. a lot of people felt he had only gotten in because he was semi-famous, and in part that was true. his connections basically bypassed all the standard auditioning process. he definietly struggled with all the restrictions that were placed on him as a trainee after enjoying freedom for his life in aomg, and would constantly be scolded for sneaking out after curfew or smuggling food and drinks into the dorm. on the other hand, he was a star trainee, always nailing evaluations and was highly praised by the instructors.  the other trainees were wary of him at the beginning, but eventually they grew close as they all suffered together in yg's dungeon. while still a trainee, damian wrote and produced many songs and even had credit on one of g-dragon's songs [bull].

PRE-EMPIRE EXPERIENCE
» he appeared on season 1 of k-pop star but was eliminated in the group stages. a few years later, he got signed to aomg as a rapper and producer. learning the trade from gray, he released his debut song "call me" ft. gray and jay park under the name gamble. it instantly shot up the charts due in no small part to his features.

he did a lot of production work after this, and had his name included on many notable aomg works. since his main goal was always to become a k-pop star rather than a k-hiphop artist, he decided to leave aomg in 2015 with jay's blessing and a warning that the industry was still very much cut-throat. jay told him that he would expereince stress like never before. still, damian was determined, so jay called in a favor from zico, who hit up mino, who msgd taeyang, who then spoke to gd, who then insisted that yg take a look at damian. with gd's endorsement, yg remembered damian from his time during kpop star; interested in his growth he decided to take a flyer on him and accepted damian as a trainee.

a few months before his debut,jay called in damian for an i.o.u. to feature in the stage for junoflo, one of the contestants that was on his team in smtm6. the appearance brought damian back into the public's eyes and the realization that he was now a yg trainee would generate some buzz for empire.

PERSONALITY
» jennie is the unoffical leader of blackpink. to outsiders, she is very cold and aloof, and this adds to her general ice princess persona. she also displays her sarcasm and sassiness and some may think she can be a bit y. however, those that spend time with her know that she is incredibly shy and caring about her friends and group members. she tries not to take things personally, but sometimes she lets the hate from netizens get to her. she puts on a strong face for her members, but she secretly worries about their long hiatus and limited discography.

FIRST MEETING
» when damian was first added as a trainee, he was taken on a tour of the yg building by none other than the great seungri. as they toured the practice rooms, they heard music blaring, and seungri insisted that damian meet the female trainees. all the trainees said hi enthusiastically except jennie. she merely muttered a faint anhyeong and turned around to keep practicing. seungri shrugged and took damian to the cafeteria.  damian thought that jennie was pretty cute, but she was pretty cold and seungri told him that jennie was like that to everyone and that you get used to it. little did they know, jennie turned around to keep the boys from seeing the blush on her face  and was teased mercilessly by the other girls for the rest of the week.

DEVELOPMENT
» damian creeps silently through the halls of yg entertainment. he had snuck out of practice earlier by saying he wanted to go take a dump. in reality, he had went to the nearby convenience store and bought a bunch of snacks and drinks for s to share since it was already close to 3am and they were exhausted. as he walked down the dark hall, he heard a sniffling sound coming from one of the other practice rooms.

he peeked inside to see jennie sitting alone in the dark, hugging her knees and crying. "jennie? you alright in there?" startled, jennie looked up and started wiping her eyes. "oh hey damian. yeah i'm fine, don't worry about me." damian stepped in and sat down beside her. jennie was trying her best to wipe away her tears but they still fell. damian put his arm around her. "you should just let it out. i won't say anything." at that moment, jennie let her tears pour out. she cried until she couldn't anymore and just lay her head on damian's shoulder and fell asleep.

the door opened again and damian saw jineul pop his head in. as he was about to say something, damian quickly shushed him and motioned for him to come grab the snacks and go back. jineul saw the tear stains on jennie's face and nodded silently.

INTERACTIONS
» ever since her late night break down, jennie tried her best to avoid damian. she was incredibly proud and was embarassed that she had let her facade crack. whenever they did interact, she would awkwardly bow try to keep her distance. damian sensing this awkwardness, would likewise keep the distance as well. the blackpink members would always roll their eyes and say its really obvious that she's crushing, but jennie would always deny it. however, as their careers continue and it becomes harder and harder for them to avoid each other, damian eventually caves and confronts jennie.

when they finally start to date, they are very careful around their managers, but if its just them and their friends, they aren't subtle at all. jennie likes to play cute all the time, and damian is more than happy to accept it. after awhile, both groups find them really disgusting tbh. damian tries his best to give up his flirty ways, but his friendgroup still has a lot of girls in it and sometimes jennie gets a little bit protective and jelly ;)
