bold :: shinae is full of light and energy 24/7 especially when she is around people. she is a tad adventurous and love exploring new things/activities/places cause YOLO right? definitely the first one to go on a thrilling activity like bungee jumping etc.

background » ji shin ae was born on the 17 of dec, 1996, in busan, south korea. she was raised in a single parent family and is an only child. her father is out of the picture as he broke up with her mother when she was pregnant with shin ae, thus leaving her mother to give birth to shinae alone. since young shinae has had a interest in music due to the fact that her mother is a music teacher and owns a small music studio. 

shinae spends most of her childhood playing the keyboard and singing. she loves singing a lot and will often listen to tapes of international singers like mariah carey and whitney houston. she also take part in many singing competitions and has won a few. one day, at the age of 16 years old, she was scouted by JYP entertainment after the competition. shinae had a already been thinking of making singing a career once she graduates from high school and so she accepted the offer and moved to seoul to start her trainee life. her mother supported her as she could see the passion shinae had for music. 

After training at JYP for 2 years, she left the company and joined ANMO entertainment at the age of 18 years old in 2014 and at the age of 21, she debuted as a member of EMANON in 2017.

"hello! this is emanon's shin-e!! i'm the main vocalist in the group!!"

— How did you feel about Eom Jiae?

"oh.. jiae is uhm.. very mysterious i'd say. She is a little quiet and i've talked to her before, i mean obviously since we were members, but she hardly share a lot about her life. so come to think of it, i don't know her that well as i though i would.." 

— How about we talk about your necklace? How did you feel about it?

"I LOVE IT!!!! ahem.. i mean yeah i love it! i'm super shook that it gave me powers like HELL-OHH?? it's like the avengers!! hehe plus my necklace is so pretty i can't even~" 

— Did anything started changing after getting it?

"HELL YEAH IT DID! ahem, pardon me.. but yes, my sense started acting weird i was like wtf?? at first but then i started loving it! IT'S FUN!! and i can eavesdrop on conversations easier now not that i do it all the time i mean.."

"love them! my second family to be honest!! i treat them like sisters since i don't have one so yay!!"

personality » daniel's personality is similar to shinae's. he is very bubbly and adventurous. also a sociable and friendly person. a true prankster and jokester, he loves pranks and love pranking the people around him and that includes his poor members. he loves puns as well and is super punny. he loves to eat a lot and gets hangry when he doesn't get fed. he is also a little impatient and hates waiting. like he hates it when people's late but he doesn't yell, he just gets pissed and would like not talk to them for a while. but all is good if you buy him food and he'll forgive you instantly. though daniel is a very friendly person, he gets shy when it comes to girls. especially girls he deemed pretty and cute, he'll blush when they talks to him and would always be grinning like an idiot. 

love story » you could say that shinae's a kang daniel fan. well, it all started when pd101 season 2 aired of course. shinae followed the whole show from the start to the end. it was on the first episode where she saw kang daniel and it WAS SET, BOOMZ she found her ideal type of guy huehue. so, as you guessed it, despite her busy activities as a girl group member, she still find time to vote every week for him. even in between breaks, she'll be watching every episode and every mission he does. the members would always be shaking their head and would always be teasing her with "your kang daniel's dancing now!!" which she'd be like "sigh he's so gooood" 

even when she goes onto talk shows or radio and they asked her about ideal types, she would always mention him without fail. the members would also spill the tea about how she fangirls about him to them a lot. as much as she wants to communicate with him or say hi and be friends, she knew it'd be hard for him since he's a newbie and talking to other females would be detrimental (for now). so she supported him as a fan and refrained from reaching out to him (tho she's super friendly).

daniel of course knew about this. i mean when emanon debuted, he had been a fan. even before appearing on pd101, he followed their music and activities. after pd101 aired, he was delighted to know that the main vocalist of emanon was a big fan of him. he was honored and there are many moments where the trainees would about it and he would blush. after pd101 ended and wanna one debuted, shinae and daniel had their first ever encounter. coincidentally w1 and emanon were at the same music show recording and they both had bumped into each other backstage outside the dressing rooms. 

shinae was shOOKED AF and was fangirling ofc while daniel was doing the same, except he was repeatedly bowing and blushing.

ever since then, the two formed a friendship. It made things easier since the two were the same age and had quite similar personalities and were from busan as well!! so yes, the pair became busan buddies and were one of the most publicised friendship in the industry. though there are at times where kdan fans are annoyed and would leave hate comments on shinae's social media but she dgaf tbh i mean "spread love not hate yoz". but ofc, she tries to keep a distance when both w1 and emanon are at the same show cause she don't wanna anger those fangirls. of course you can't leave out dating rumors between the two as well, because of how close they are but both of them would always deny and said that they're just friends.. ofc, until one of them started crushing on the other.

"nu uh, we're just friends!!! me and dan are just busan chingus!!" 

shinae always liked daniel, but as a fan. she has been really clear about this since day one. she was happy being friends with him, turns out there were a lot more to him than just the boy everyone saw on pd101 season 2. but as she got to know him more and more, she started seeing him in a differently light. well, that's where she knew she was doomed. (as if being close friends with nation's center wasn't enough, she just had to start liking him) the emanon members are the only ones who know about her liking him and is kinda her wingwomen lmao.
