Personality 
— Positive: Akemi is very reliable and friendly. You may think she is very cold, and doesn't care about anyone, but she actually has a big heart. Whenever someone is down, she would try to cheer them up and talk to them. Akemi is very studious, she loves books and art, always having a book near her. When it comes down to making decisions, Akemi is rational about her decisions, thinking about the pros and cons about the situation. And lastly, Akemi is tremendously diligent. She has an huge urge of not giving up, no matter what it takes.
— Neutral: When you first take a look at Akemi, she would appear reserved, and that because she is. She doesn't like talking unless she has to, otherwise she would just be reserved, in her own little world. Akemi can be sarcastic, or so she thinks. She is not very good with humor, and when she is being "sarcastic", a lot of people takes it the wrong way and thinks she is bringing them down, resulting in them sometimes loathing Akemi. She can be also competitive when a tasks is given to her. Because of her diligence, she can too competitive. She is very placid, as people around her can't read her emotions well just by looking at her face. By this, it is very hard to get close with Akemi.
— Negative: Akemi is restless, especially when she's stressed. She can't be still, she has to do something when she feels like she's under pressure. With that, she gets obnoxious with her habits and just annoys everyone around her without any knowledge of it. Akemi can also get very stubborn at times, especially when she's sad, tired, or stressed. At these times, Akemi prefers to be alone and thinks she can deal with it herself but in reality, she can't. She also sometimes suffered from anxiety attacks when she's stressed. Because of this, Akemi can be extremely insecure and doubtful about herself.

Background Ishizuka Akemi was born on September 24th, 1996 in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan to her parents Ishizuka Shoichi and Fujino Hinata. Her family moved to Tokyo when she was 5 years old for her father's work, and shortly after her mother gave birth to Akemi's brother, Jurou. Her mother would often take the family to Seoul on vacation due to the fact that Akemi's aunt lived in Seoul, so Akemi kind of grew up with learning Korean culture. 
Anyways, Akemi grew up like any other kid. With it being her being an only child for the first 5 years of her life, she was raised kind of being spoiled, despite growing up in middle class. Or at least that's what her parents wanted to do, give her the stars and the moon, but Akemi didn't want to be spoiled, she didn't want to waste their money. With school life, she'd place in the top 20 in her classes, and went to all girls school in elementary and middle school. Akemi was in the book club, and spend most of her free time writing. Her dream was to become an author, and have a series of books that would be made into a movie. She had tons of unfinished notebooks of stories hidden in her room, and wanted to become a writer. But as a famous saying goes, “Things aren't always what they seem.”
Along with her love of writing, Akemi also had a sweet spot for music. She would blare Perfume's music throughout her house, and would have little dance parties with her friends. Perfume was Akemi's favorite group ever. Akemi's friends were those typical J-POP fans, wanting to skip school because a group dropped a MV and dreaming to become an idol to get close with their favorites. Akemi, on the other hand, while she liked J-POP, she was a lot of a calmer fan of group, not even necessarily a fan, just enjoying the music.

Akemi's best friend, Sato Harumi is a E-Girls member. The two had met in elementary school and been best friends ever since. Even though Harumi was busy being an idol, they would always go out to lunch together and catch up. One day while they were out to lunch, someone came up to them. Akemi and Harumi thinking that the person was a fan, Harumi pulled out a pen for an autograph. The person kindly denied the autograph, and instead and handed a business card to Akemi. Akemi was surprised to see that the card was from Hello!Project. Harumi couldn't believe it either, as it was too real to be true.
Sooner or later, Akemi audtioned for Hello!Project in early 2014, getting accepeted and training in the company ever since.

— Ikiagi's Akemi and ?? caught fighting? / Up to you / Akemi and ?? was seen fighting backstage, and it caught the attention of fans, wondering if there was so much more stuff going on behind the scenes. If true: Hello!Project and the girls apologized to the fans, saying that they're sorry that this happen and would work out any conflicts like an adult. If false: Hello!Project denied the claim, saying that there was no fighting actually happening, and apologizing for the inconvenience.
