First (and hopefully not the last) blogpost!

Finding Sugar Man (FSM) is my first ever fanfiction so I really appreciate everyone who upvoted, subscribed, commented, and read it. I am very lacking as a writer (I am more a person of numbers rather than words) but knowing that there are people actually reading my work encourages me to learn more so that I could write better. Thank you, like really. I couldn't thank you guys enough :)

I guess the seeds for this story have been brewing in my head for sometime (the main one being the Dara TV dating with my idol episode), but it was not until I had the pleasure to meet a certain writer/teacher last May that I got inspired to actually write my ideas down. After that meeting, I wrote the very rough draft of the first seven parts (Strong Heart to 1N2D) overnight. Deciding to upload it in the platform took around 2 days (I'm indecisive like that haha). I uploaded three parts in one go as a trial and if somebody subscribed, I would keep at it until I ran out of material.

Good thing Eun Jiwon has appeared in a lot of variety shows both as a main cast or as a guest. I don't remember when the first time I saw him was, but I became a fan in 2015 through his stint in the swimming episodes of Cool Kiz on the Block. He's so good! And funny! That led me to watch 1N2D season 1. Before I knew it, I was hooked on Eun Jiwon and variety shows, and hence, the titles of the chapters are variety show titles.

As for Sandara Park, I have been her fan much longer. Not SCQ days, but just a little after that. I remember watching Can This Be Love in a movie theater (giving away my age here lol). I own a CD of Becuz of You and a DVD of D'Lucky Ones. Then there's that KBS documentary. I find her life story inspiring, and admires her earnestness to be as authentic as she could given her circumstances. How she makes the seemingly impossible into a possibility endears her to me.

I have so much to write about Sechskies but since this is mainly about Dara and Jiwon, allow me just to say I totally love them (OT6 + Sungjae), and I am excitedly waiting for Sechskies' September comeback.

Going back to FSM. Naturally, a number of my personal experiences have seeped into the story, e.g., crying over a disbandment, standing in the rain during a concert, finally meeting one of my favorite singer-songwriters. In a way this is my homage to being a fan. Let's wear our badge proudly :)

I have about two or three parts left to write on FSM, so if you have any suggestion, idea, or what not for this pairing, let me know so I could try to write it into the story or maybe start a new story?
