The brown haired male paced his room, his form anxious within the four walls. His entire body shook, his breathing uneven as he tried to calm himself--but it didn’t seem to work. His bare feet stepped on polaroids, soft crackling sound being heard with each step, the floor and walls covered in them. He walked over to the stereo setting on top of the dresser, turning it on, leaving it to whatever it was on. His ears picked up on the tune as he walked back to the center of the room, head tilted back completely, lips moving with the words on instinct.

“I’m jealous.”

His chin dropped down to his chest, eyes remaining closed.

“I’m overzealous.”

His arms reach into the air, stretching out his chest as he felt pressure swell there.

“When I’m down I go real down. When I go high I don’t come down.”

His forearms dropped to hook behind his head, eyes opening to lock onto the white glow in the dark stars stuck there.

“I get angry.”

He dropped his arms and head back down, shaking his head as he looked down at the floor.

“Baby, believe me.”

His eyes flicked across the polaroids, looking at the smiling face there.

“I could love you just like that.”

He lifted his head to face the wall in front of him, before turning his head towards his hand as he raised and snapped it at the last word.

“And I could leave you just this fast.”

His head turned as he snapped his opposite hand in the same way.

“But you don’t judge me. ‘Cause if you did baby I would judge you too.”

He dropped his hands to his side, looking at the photographs on the wall to his right, chest continuing to build in pressure.

“But you don’t judge me. ‘Cause if you did baby I would judge you too.”

He looked to his left, eyes scanning over the pictures on the wall there, hanging down by string.

“‘Cause I got issues.”

He dropped his head to look at the floor.

“You got ‘em too.”

He crouched down, picking up one polaroid from between his feet.

“So give yours to me and I’ll give mine to you.”

He straightened, gulping.

“Bask in the glory of all our problems.”

He clenched the polaroid with both hands, the ends crinkling as his throat became tight.

“‘Cause we got the kind of love it takes to solve ‘em.”

His eyes gazed over the two smiling faces, one with black hair, the other blonde.

“Yeah I got issues.”

His thumb traced over the one with black hair, sight becoming blurry, lifting the picture closer to his face before dropping his hands to his sides as the instrumental paused.

“And one of them is how bad I need you.”

He began walking to his right, scooping a picture from the ground, looking at the picture of the same black haired boy sipping from a can with a straw, looking confused at the photographer.

“You do on purpose.”

He clenched the picture in his hand, body tense as a tear fell from each eye.

“Get mad and you break things.”

He crumpled the picture completely, making it into a ball in his hand.

“Feel bad, try to fix things.”

He forcefully tossed the picture to the side, walking over to the picture filled wall.

“But you’re perfect, poorly wired circuit.”

His eyes scanned over the photos of smiling boys in every setting, the same smiles in each.

“Got hands like an ocean.”

A thud sounded as he hit his forehead against the wall, hands flat against the surface.

“Push you out, pull you back in.”

He sighed, tears falling from his face and onto his feet,

“But you don’t judge me. ‘Cause if you did, baby I would judge you too.”

He lifted his head again, staring at the picture of the smiling black haired boy upside-down, having leaned his head all the way back while sitting in a chair to see the photographer.

“No, you don’t judge me. ‘Cause you see it from the same point of view.”

The tears continued falling, the boy’s voice cracking and falturing, but he didn’t stop.

“‘Cause I got issues.”

He turned around, putting his back to the wall as his chest heaved.

“You got them too.”

He slowly slid down the wall, ignoring the crunching of the polaroids beneath him.

“Just give ‘em all to me and I’ll give mine to you.”

He hugged his knees, putting his forehead on his kneecaps as he sniffed, the tears from his lips.

“Bask in the glory of all our problems.”

He clenched his fists tighter, chest tight while his throat felt as if he was being choked.

“‘Cause we got the kind of love it takes to solve ‘em.”

His arms reach down beside him as he grabbed the pictures beneath him, hugging them while leaning his head back against the wall, eyes closed.

“Yeah I got issues.”

He heard a soft ping, head turning towards the window, watching as small objects began hitting it, his heart jumping.

“And one of them is how bad I need you.”

At the final lyric a smile came onto his face, sound of the music stopping as the disk in the stereo stopped. He dropped the pictures as he stood, rubbing the tears from his face as he looked out of his, chest swelling at a familiar head of hair and a bright smile, the boy motioning for the other to come out. He nodded, running over to his dresser to pick up his shoes where he left them, he slid them on, straightening when his eye caught a flash of light.

He looked down, picking up the dark cellphone, tilting it for the light to reflect off of him again, his jaw clenching. He put the phone into his pocket, looking onto the dresser where a white full mask sat. His hand hovered over it, before picking it up, slowly putting it over his face, before he locked eyes with himself in the mirror.

“Hey Tae, want to go do something?”

The brown haired boy smiled through the mask that the other was unable to see, nodding, eyes flicking past the photos, but pushed them from his thoughts as his feet scuffed against the concrete.

“Sounds great.”
