This is the progress I made after a whole week of staring and playing around with Photoshop.

Thanks to dream_keeper88 for introducing me to P-makers. Go check them out. They got really useful resources and good tips on editing photos. ALSO...Google is still the most powerful search engine! LOL...I found really good tutes about blending and textures...

Nicely done! I like the first one best personally but you did a good job on both of them. I've never done much in the way of editing of pics...and I've never used Photoshop though I've had fun watching my friend showing me how she edits her stuff for her photography course ^^

In the second poster, maybe you could clean the edges of top or the violet is part of it?
other than that, I like them! Actually, the second one is my fave xD
