            Giant • With a height of 185 cm, he towered the most of the people in the office that's why he is called by this nickname. "How did your legs fit inside the cubicle?"

 

             Bae • In his past workplace, it was a surname basis so he is used to being called by his surname. He will certainly ask his co-workers to call him by this nickname. "I'm Junseo but you can just call me Bae." "..."

             English - Fluent. He learned this language when he took the opportunity to get his degree abroad.

 

 

backstory:

             He is the every gold digger's dream but never have you thought that this 29 year old grown up man, who finished his Computer Science degree in one of the top-technological schools in Chicago, owns a black mercedez-benz e-class, is rich, is handsome, y, free and single, and has a three-year old son, Bae Yejun, you did not read it wrong, he is a young bachelor with a son, in short a single father. 

             Junseo was a Senior Programmer recently fired from a large technological company. Why? It was because of his consecutive absences, refusal to work overtime and violation of some company rules. Why again? It is because of Yejun, yes, he did all of that for his son. He was the only one taking care of his child now, the mother? his gold digger ex-fiancée ran away with half of his money and cheated on him, leaving their son alone to him. He is fine with that though, "I rather have my child grow without a mother than have her, a cheating gold digger!" he said. He managed to get through the first 3 years of hiring different nannies and splitting his free time of taking care of Yejun, but it became more challenging when Yejun would throw fits that even the nannies cannot handle it. Yejun would cry when he go out to work, crying without him in sight, crying out of nowhere making him go home in the middle of the day. 

Of course he thought some solutions, lets start first with:
Solution 0: Bringing Yejun to work.
Result: Unfortunately the company doesn't allow kids at work. So it was not a solution in the first place.
Solution 1: Facetiming Yejun while at work. 
Result: Using of any gadgets is not allowed while working except for emergencies. So he was often caught by his supervisors violating company rules.
Solution 2: Paternity leave.
Result: Yejun is already three-years old so he wasn't qualified.
Solution 3: Taking absences.
Result: He was fired since taking care of a child is not a valid reason.

             In one of the child care seminars that he attended, Junseo had a one-on-one talk with a child psychologist, he was told that Yejun growing up without a mother, having different nannies, and him going out of work all the time, Yejun might have developed attachment issues, and that is why there are days that he threw tantrums and cried non-stop because he did not trusted his nannies, and only felt secure with his father, Junseo. He was told one advice: "Give your son what he needed the most, love and attention." Unfortunately, he needs to work, and both of his father and grandfather are busy, while his mother had long passed away. He also cannot leave Yejun to others since he rejected the nannies. The counsel that he got is:

             "Then you might consider this, its either you find a flexible child-friendly workplace to bring your son or find a suitable mother figure for him. You alone can take care of most of his primary needs but you cannot cater a child's psychological need for a mother." 

             Since that day, Junseo had been attending blind dates set up by his family and friends, some were reluctant when they saw Yejun, some were only for his looks or money, there were also close calls but they never made it when they readily gave up just a day of taking care Yejun. He had been also looking for child-friendly workplace, he found some good companies providing child care facilities such as playground and daycare but they never allowed children in the offices. In the end, it was all in vain until he came to find WeLove, a startup company, since they were only starting, he can only try, the boss wouldn't mind to bring his child in some days right?

 

living Conditions:
             He's rich but not to the point that he can live five years without working. After his bank account was robbed by his ex-fiancée, he settled for a two-bedroom apartment in apgujeong, still pricy but it was more cheaper than living in a luxury villa in Hannam. It is strategically better since the building had a number of restaurants and shops in their bottom floors, he can shop or do whatever he wanted without getting out of the building.

 

trivia:

• Junseo appreciates the sunlight but he is not fond of the heat radiating from the sun. He can sit in any cubicle except beside the windows.

• His favorite things to be put in desk are: Three picture frames, one for his family, one for Yejun with him, and a solo picture of Yejun. Some small cat plushies that Yejun liked.

• He drives a black mercedenz benz to work, fortunately he had decent driving skills.

• There will be days that he is running late like for thirty minutes. It is random since Yejun's tantrums were unpredictable but he is mostly on time.

• Yejun's visits were unpredictable too, doryeong can expect that Junseo would come to his cubicle with a sorry face, telling him that Yejun would be coming soon in the office, send in by the babysitter.

• Or some days that Junseo would personally bring Yejun at the office.

• Junseo will put a toddler bean bag in the office as Yejun's seat, just behind his chair so he can easily take a quick look on Yejun.

• He's actually fine with Yejun with playing easy-to-learn educational ipad games and watching kids cartoons, but he of course he will limit the ipad use since too much radiation for kids is unhealthy. 

• Without using ipad, Junseo would bring both picture and tracing books, puzzles as backups. It is risky to bring coloring materials since it might make a mess in the office.

• Earphones are also a need, when Yejun watches educational videos so it won't be too noisy in office (and also protect his son innocent ears if someone cusses.)

• There will be times that Yejun will like to explore the office, touching the plants in the corner or watching the other workers working in their computer. He won't disturb them though, if they ever try to talk to Yejun, the latter would quickly walk away from them and go to his father.

• Sometimes Yejun will get bored of watching videos or playing his toys and will try to get attention from his father. Of course Junseo could not resist his child so he will let him sit on his lap, watching him doing work.

• Energy drinks and coffees are his life support in the office. 

• A big eater, Junseo had a huge stomach that it can't be merely satisfied by a single cup of ramen. #Prayforthepantry He will eat a LOT.

• Favorite lunch spots are meat restaurants, its either places selling barbecues or grilled pork belly. Anything to do with meat.

• When Yejun is in the office, Junseo would bring packed lunch made by the nanny (he cannot cook for his life) and both of them will stay in the pantry to eat lunch.

• When stressed, his habits includes pinching the bridge of his nose and massaging his temples.

• Has an afternoon sickness, and no, not vomitting but only having a series of faint headaches.

• So he take a lot of short breaks in the afternoon to cope up with the aches. 

• He brings his glasses and will only use it when working to protect his eyes from being strain.

• If yejun's present or not, Junseo is reluctant to do overtime work, but if its very important then he will have to call just one of his family member to take care of Junseo.

• Aside from being a prankster, his workmates must bear with his every morning dad jokes.
"What do you call a man with a rubber toe? Roberto." 

• This talkactive machine will be the one to break the ice first thing in work, "Hey I'm Junseo Bae and I got fired from my previous company." Will continue his talk in the lunch break if he has the time.

• Junseo is enthusiastic in joining company dinners (if yejun is not with them) and is a heavy drinker. But you have to watch out for his drunk self flirting non-stop with the females. "Can I date you with a possibility of marriage?" Doryeong must call his family members to get him home.

• No doubt he will start asking his workmates if they have single friends that he can possibly date then will start listing out the questions. "How old is he?" "Does she likes kids?" "Do you think she will get along with Yejun?" "Can she cook?"  Poor workmates.

• Maybe one of his workmates can catch him swiping on tinder in his break time. 

• Positive: Vivacious, Supportive

• People might think that programmers or any individual who had a job related to IT, are sleep-deprived grumpy people who will most likely to snap your neck every time you disturb them working on their computer, it is partly true since they mostly spent their night time working if something went wrong. But this description doesn't apply to Junseo, not even a bit. He will be the company's little giant sunshine, the moodmaker, the happy pill, you will rarely see him enter the office with a frown. Even his aura exudes happiness, and he is bright in a way that attracts people, that they cannot help but get infected by this happy virus. Junseo is lively in temper, conduct and spirit, so expect him to act the company's cheerleader, he is very supportive towards his workmates and will offer them advice since he is most like to be one of the older ones in the office (and the wiser, since he had already experienced the horrors of life lmao).

• Negative: Mischievous, Impulsive

• But having so much high-spirited energy in a body can be also used in something unfavorable such as pranks or troubles. Since Junseo is so lively, he will thought of something to make the office livelier, including this are the pranks that he can do to his workmates, which would annoy the hell out of them, he will be sorry in the end of his mischievousness but will likely forget the scoldings of his workmates the next day and do pranks again. The next thing that his energy can turned to is being impulsive, in actions or thoughts, you can see him knocking things down for being energetic or hear him swear when he pressed the wrong key. If he see one of his workmates tearing up in their cubicle, Junseo will immediately rolled-up his sleeves and ask who made them cry, regardless how normal it is to cry when in extreme stress. If some rivals annoyed him, this man will certainly messed up a little with their firewall in a minute.

"hello, take a seat." doryeong leaves through the simple application form and the candidate's resume casually, twirling his Yonsei pen in his left hand. "so, how did you come across welove, and why do you want to work here?"

Junseo takes a seat and little bit confused why there are no formalities done. "I came across WeLove a lot on job finder sites. To be honest, I'm looking for child-friendly workplaces where I can bring my son while working, not every work day though, don't worry he's a behaved child." He is about to continue when he realized that this is an interview and not a casual talk. 'The boss looks nice though.'

 

he flashes what he thought was his characteristic suave smile, but it turned out to be a lopsided, i'm-not-even-sure-how-to-interview-you one, "ahh i see. so you've applied to be my IT specialist, i'm guessing you have the relevant knowledge? any past experience?" his voice raises a little at the end, destroying his established calm demeanor.

Junseo did not manage to notice the little change in his voice and replied. "I have a degree in Computer Engineering and became a senior programmer in my previous company for 3 years. Applying as an IT specialist  and We Love focus on internet marketing, I can help with setting up and programming web sites that the company will use and optimize search engines to maximise it." He stopped a little and continued. "Since Welove is still a starup, I can help with in safeguarding computer database where we store information of welove."

 

"that's great! uhhhh, um. your... expected salary? i mean, we're just a startup and i don't think i can afford much, but i'd like to know where you stand on this matter? and you've got to know that we most probably will work overtime here."

"No worries, I don't need a lot- I mean a expensive salary, I'm fine with 20k? He sighed heavily when he heard the word overtime.

 

the boss sighs an audible sigh of relief. "okay, last bit! you'll be having your own workstation, but for now... do you ahve any decorating tips? it's really a lil sparse around here.. not too much plastic stuff, of course." his voice trails off.

"Decorations?" Junseo just realized how empty the office is but he reall doesn't have any experience with decorating. "Uhm.. plants?"

 

"okay, thanks a lot for coming in today! i'll let you know of your interview results in about a week!" 

 

 

 

Mr. Bae | Father | 9/10 | When Mrs. Bae died after giving birth to Junseo, he became more soft and slack when it comes to his youngest son in order to fill in the lack  of maternal affection. So when Junseo was ditched by his ex-fiancee, Mr. Bae is the one who supported and convinced Junseo to move on and date other women, since he did not wanted his grandson to grow up without a mother forever too. Mr. Bae will be the instigator of set-up dates for Junseo.

Mr. Bae Sr. | Grandfather | 7/10 | This old man is definitely the one who really wanted to hunt down Junseo's ex-fiancee to teach that woman a lesson but stopped since he doesn't want to cause trouble for his grandson and great grandson. He doesn't approved of many set up dates made by Mr. Bae instead he wanted Junseo to sincerly find a genuine woman that he can marry. He is also soft for Yejun but that child cries everytime he saw him.

Bae Junho | Older Brother | 8/10 | This older brother of his will jokingly tease Junseo about his misfortune in romance, since Junho is already happily married with twins. He is Junseo's first in emergency calls so whenever he is drunk, he is the one who came up to carry him home while his wife took care of Yejun. Junho's abode is the second home of Yejun whenever Junseo had to work overtime.

Bae Yejun | Son | 8/10 | No one would think that this shy and quiet baby can throw huge tantrums at home. Many different nannies are hired because of his inconsistency with them, sometimes he likes his nanny, sometime he wouldn't. This inconsistency of his also cause Junseo trouble with work, since if he doesn't stop throwinf fits, the nanny would call Junseo as a last resort, the result? Yejun is brought to the office. He will only stop crying in his presence of his father, not a shed of troublesome kid would be seen in him since he is very behaved, and timid in the office. Junseo' workmates can also interact with Yejun but they musn't expect that the child will open up to them immediately.

Yoon Doryeong | Same-aged friend, Boss | 6/10 | Junseo will certainly be comfortable with Doryeong once he found out that he's only months younger than him. Doryeong could be the common target of Junseo's mischief and bad jokes sincehe felt comfortable with his boss. Junseo will probably pester doryeong first to set him up with single friends.
